“All this time I’ve had a critical attitude towards pop idol culture.
In full honesty I look down on the Korean music industry that leans too heavily on idols, so I’ve never thought of writing songs for idols either.
This side of me met Jaejoong and Junsu last October autumn when I wrote the OST for SungKyunKwan Scandal.
On the day that I worked with them on the recordings, it was the most impressionable day in the 10 years that I have produced so many varieties of music.
Were the stubborn prejudices that I had had for so long wrong?
Was I the ignorant person?
If you look from the results, the two gave their best performance and sentiments in the limited amount of time they were given.
They both have unique vocals, which allowed me to know about their individualistic characteristics.
These things form from hard work and experience.
For singers, it is the most incomprehensible and hardest to resolve – like fate.
After they finished recording, I exclaimed how such a deformed idol-based Korean music industry could create such perfect idols.
This is definitely not flattery or sweet-talk.”

WOAHH~
Did JJ and Su just pick up another admirer. LOOL
I need to google who this guy is!
Our boys are always surprising people with their talents!
Go Jaesu!
reading the article makes me want to listen to Jae’s song – For me it’s waiting for you it’s separation.
It was such a heartbreaking song and it was sung so good..he’s the best!
I have always known that TVXQ (the real TVXQ) have talents beyond being just “Idols”! They are all a talented bunch and I am proud of being their fan! Their voices are like no other! JYJ/HM FIGHTING!!!
I’m so damn proud of my boys^^
it really surprised me that there are still some people working in entertainment industry in korea who don’t recognize their talents, until they work with them. hmmm…i guess being labeled as “idols” also gave particular prejudice by others. i really hope that jyj will work with a lot of people from this industry so they’re not gonna be labeled as idol anymore but as truly artist.
I agree. I hope they shake off the “idol” label as well. That will mean not going on shows like “Music Bank” and the other idol platforms. The question is — would that be okay with JYJ fandom?
I have no problems with it, actually. Idols have a very short shelf life and I want JYJ to surpass that shelf life. Besides, biases aside, I really CAN honestly see them beyond being idols and being recognized as artists, not just for their singing abilities but also for their songwriting skills.
jaesu! i love you!<3
they are real talent! good new for to day.
Jaseu FTW
sorry Jaesu xDDDD
I feel like there are divided groups in the industry to support Homin and JYJ. However, the group that supports Homin is basically SM group, which is really biased and won’t affect much. Whereas, JYJ supporters are either producers, writers, photographers…the people who have status in entertainment industry and have more effect on the media.
I’m so happy that JYJ has these supports and also my full 100%
OHH WOW. U make a good point! >.<
agree 100%
For me they are more than idols ;D
“These things form from hard work and experience”
i like this quote ^^ they worked hell hard all these years..they deserve what they fighting for..^^ what ever happens in the future nothing will breaks our faith to you..keep on fighting till the end..remember we stand behind you ^^ JYJ hwaiting!!
their vocal talent is unquestionable indeed.
Even that producer is really pleasured because he is able to work with jaesu
being able to work with jaesu is such a precious thing for any producer of music
