[The Dong Bang Shin Ki Special, 2^nd post: This is the post compiled after the first hearing on the injunction on August 25, 2009. What the three members of Dong Bang Shin Ki bring up is ‘a problem with the system’. But is that being properly addressed? Although my work may be insufficient, I would like to add it to the ongoing debate.]

Last year, on August 21, the first hearing on the suspension of the Dong Bang Shin Ki members’ exclusive contract was held. Although the hearing was held in private in a closed session several details were leaked to the press. I expected to hear that both sides displayed steel-like resolve in their positions or maybe that they were starting to find grounds for compromise, but, instead, what was reported of the hearing left my heart cold. It’s because of several allegations made by SM. These are the questions brought about by these allegations.

[NEWS] JYJ’s Xiah Junsu for Happy Bean: Happy Energy

Last year, Korean Internet search giant Naver created a campaign called Happy Bean: Happy Energy. Basically, Naver users can accumulate virtual beans and use these to purchase supplies to various charity organizations.

Last year, the boys of 2PM participated and represented a Child Care program called Busrugy. This year, JYJ’s Xiah Junsu is participating to help the country of Kenya in Africa. He states that you can find inspiration and love through music and wants to help create a music school in Kenya.

[INFO] 110118 We received the correct information about today’s appeal hearing on JYJ vs.SME.

1/18 Scheduled date of the 3rd hearing.
1/12 SM’s defense applied for the change of the hearing date.
1/14 JYJ’s defense submitted the written appeal as scheduled (meaning that JYJ’s defense did not agree on postponing the appeal date).
1/17 Court decided to proceed the hearing as scheduled.
SM’s defense added the financial managers of SME as their witness.
1/18 One of SM’s witness did not appear in court. Because of this absence, the appeal was postponed to March.

In breif:
– The witness who did not appear in the the court today is SME’s witness.
– The absence of SME’s witness shows that who is responsible for the delay of the hearing.
– JYJ’s defense asked the interim ruling or partial ruling for the case because the longer delay of ruling hampers JYJ’s entertainment activites.
