There are five main Korean fansites: DNBN, Yuerubi (유애루비), Ikadong (이카동), DC TVXQ gall, Telzone.
Before I explain the differences between these fansites, let me make one point clear first.
Cassiopeia, as used in fandom vernacular, stands for all fans that support TVXQ.
(Although to be an official Cassie, you must join the fanclub which is operated by SM.)
Therefore Cassiopeia includes all fansites that are in existence.
Now let me address the differences between fansites.
1. DNBN
DNBN is one of the most representative Korean fansites. Until recently, they supported all five members.
However, they changed their stance since 2-member TVXQ’s comeback. To read their current stance, please visit www.dnbn.pe.kr. *
2. Yuerubi (유애루비)
Yuerubi is the biggest fansite, having nearly 750,000 members.
Among major Korean fansites, Yuerubi is the only site that still supports all five members.
The age of the members are rather young compared to other sites. Yuaerubi’s daily traffic has gone down significantly in recent years so its large membership is deceiving of actual fandom climate.
3. Ikadong (이카동)
Ikadong was the first site to change their stance. Now they support JYJ. *
Only Noona fans who are over 20 years old are allowed to join.
Ikadong has about 30,000 members.
4. DC TVXQ gall
DC is well known for their aggressive style.
Like DNBN, they changed their stance recently after 2-member TVXQ’s comeback. *
DC is the most active site of all, having thousands of people come and go everyday.
(DC also has a JYJ gall, but this gall was made to kick out the original members out of TVXQ gall. Be careful! DC’s JYJ gall is not made by real JYJ fans but Hotel girls.)
5. Telzone.
Telzone has two separate galls.
(1) TVXQ gall
TVXQ gall supports HM. This is where the “Hotel girls” usually gather.
Rumors about JYJ are made and spread here.
(2) JYJ gall
Because TVXQ gall no longer supports JYJ, Noona fans created a new gall for JYJ. Even though it’s a newer gall, the amount of traffic that JYJ gall has is usually ranked no. 1 on Daum for web traffic and activeness.

Based on that I wouldn’t say yuaraebi represents the view of the entire cassiopeia considering most of the members left/are inactive ^_^
I forgot who told me this, but Yuaerubi has it where once you register, you can’t delete your acct. So the vast majority of the 750,000 are now at the other four major fan cafes now.
I don’t think Yuerubi is going to chance its stan soon. Oh well, we still have a lot of JYJ fans with us!
Actually, you can delete your acct. Yerubi used to have more than 800,000 members but know over 50,000 deleted.

Hotel girls are self-claimed HoMin-only fans, who are more engaged in bashing JYJ than supporting HoMin. They are kind of minority among KCassies, but they are famous for uploading malicious rumors against JYJ at any websites that they can find in Korea, Japan, China and the U.S. Dozens of them were sent to police stations for those malicious rumors and had to have settlement or pay fines. Their habitat is Daum Telzone TVXQ Gallery.
I would like to add some comments on official Cassiopeia 1st and 2nd generations. SME sold the 1st and 2nd Cassiopeia memberships way before TVXQ’s Mirotic got its momentum. SME continued to ignore TVXQ fans’ request to reopen membership subscription. So many TVXQ fans could not become official Cassies due to SME’s neglect of fan club support. KCassies actually are mostly unofficial Cassies.
Now, along with HoMin’s comeback, SME sells 3rd Generation Cassiopeia membership that only support HoMin. AKTF fans were kicked out, officially. The notorious hotel girls salute themselves as Cassiopeia. But they go by Hotelopeia. KCassies lost their name, but due to this, KCassies deeply sympathize with JYJ facing HoMin’s takeover of the name, TVXQ.
Actually, it is JYJ who carries the banner of TVXQ tough and tall in the world pop scene. When “The Beginning” of JYJ was voted as Billboard readers’ world fifth best album, TVXQ’s name was mentioned along with JYJ’s name. Seemingly, HoMin and SME get benefits from JYJ’s reputation even now…

I think I registered as a member of Yurebi ages ago though I never visit the site. So like people said before, once you registered, the number will be kept. 750000 fans may be just a number and we need quality more than ineffective quantity
Can I ask u something? So the list where dbsk is no.1 with the most fans are based on yuaerubi? And if it stated 750000, this always bothers me how mirotic sold 500k+.. I guess piracy really is a big thing in sk
Where DBSK is no.1 is the 2nd term official Cassiopea membership. Daum cafes like Yuerobi include many non-fans who register just out of passing curiosity. I am also a member of Yuerobi but never visited it after one or two visits after initial registration.
I think I registered to the fan club too, following the guideline in Eng provided by DBSKnight long after the lawsuit. I never visit it again tho..
yes, that’s how I became a member. Though Changmin got me into DBSK from a pic I saw, but the person I’m in love with is JYJ. And I’m quite a new fan so I don’t think I’m a Cassie though I sometimes said I was. I’d be a member of JYJ family.
I’m actually glad that they didnt open a new fanclub, to me cassiopeia will always be jyj’s first love, they were with them from the beginning and even up until now. I think we can see very clearly how the boys cherish their fans. Tho I myself am not a cassiopeia,and some of the fans here prob arent too, the majority of the fans in korea are still considering themselves one. So rite now I’m content enough just being a part of a jyj family.

I heard the annual fee is about $13 but it’s not clear if international fans can join. C-JeS needs to clarify first if it’s only for Korean fans or not..
However, I believe if the membership was open for overseas fans, there would be information in other languages too.
thanks. I saw in soompi, ppl are fighting over the name cassies. imo names are important to be called and recognised but people are more important to be cared about and loved! I love 3 people who fighting for their rights and all people who support them.
