Rookie actor Park Yoo Hwan recently expressed his gratitude toward his older brother, JYJ’s Yoochun, for giving him a car as a present.
Park Yoo Hwan told Star News on February 15th, “I’ve always really liked cars and had a lot of interest in them. After passing my driver’s test recently, I found a car that I liked and pestered my brother about it; he really ended up buying it for me as a present.”
The car Yoochun bought his brother was a mid-sized sedan. Yoo Hwan explained, “I know that the prices of cars depend on the car options. It wasn’t over $80,000 USD.”
He continued, “I nagged him, saying that I’ll try my best if he buys it for me. It was Christmas at the time, and since it was around the time I was preparing for my debut, he bought it for me as a message of encouragement.”
“When I told him that I wanted to become an actor, hyung became worried and said, “It’s not an easy path to take”. I became worried as well, but in the end I made my decision. Hyung supported me and said that since I’ve already started, he told me to earn myself a good result.”
Yoo Hwan concluded, “I’m really thankful that I received such a big present. I want to work my best and give back to my hyung to avoid disappointing his expectations.”
Park Yoo Hwan is currently acting in the new MBC drama, “Shiny Shiny Shining.”

In anycase, I think we as fans shouldn’t get overly paranoid about stuff like this. Antis are going to find fault with anything the boys do, so there’s no use worrying about what they think. Plus it’s not like the boy was sitting around doing nothing over the last half of the year… I’m pretty sure he made a decent amount of money thanks to his drama and JYJ activities. 🙂

you bet.. just came from AKP and it was nasty,, at the start since some immature comments started.. but JYJ fans worked together to lighten up the thread and divert the flow from bickering to discussing about how great of a brother Yoochun is and discussing what we know of the case from what we read from JYJfiles.. it’s awesome in my point of view because it neutralized the antis.. almost immediately.. without raising petty arguments.. it’s like they could not answer back anymore since its obvious that JYJ fans did their research.. i think the best offense is smart and witty counter defense (plus teamwork from the JYJ fam)..

I dont understand what is a big fuss about buying a car for his brother. Now days there is bank loans everywhere. If Chun walks into the bank and wants to borrow $80,000 for a car he will get it easy with his job as a security. The brand name JYJ will get him any loan. Buying a car doesnt cost that much cash now days as u can pay it off slowly in 2 years, 5 years….

YC is full of love for those dear to him. I love him loving others. At one interview around the Christmas time, JYJ confessed they spent all their savings because they had to pay for the U.S. showcase due to the visa problem. Clearly, YC does not have enough money to buy a big thing, but anyway he is burdening himself to make people around him happy. I just hope he takes care of himself most of all, sometimes….

Poor poor poor judgement on Yoohwan’s part to announce it to the world and to explain in detail about how he pestered his older brother for a very very expensive car like a little spoiled boy. I’m not saying YC shouldn’t buy whatever he wants and it’s nice to show brotherly affection but in the world of entertainment there are always people that want to see you go down, especially in YC’s case with his current situation he just has to be more careful. I read many articles about it in Korean along with all the comments that followed. It’s as it’s translated, YH pestered or nagged YC about getting him a car he wanted for months, then finally YC got it for him as a Christmas present. People in Korea are having a hissy fit over this and honestly I can’t blame them. What bothers me the most is that YH bragged about this to the press. OK to tell your friends and loved ones but why the press? At the very least they should becareful until the lawsuit has been settled. Yes, YH is young and is learning but this is what comes with the territory and he should’ve thought about his brother! I may be harsh but this is reality.

lol I think people are too focused on the title and not Yoohwan’s actual words and intent. He and Yoochun are VERY! close, if anyone has seen Chun’s interview portion on YSMM about his past, his number one goal was being able to take care of his family and be there for his little brother for all the years he missed. I dont doubt that Chun would do anything for his brother. Also, when I read this, I didnt get a spoiled self-entitledness(?new word) feel from Yoohwan. His brother got him a gift “I’m really thankful that I received such a big present. Theyve both been through a lot in their childhood and I can tell from the way they talk about each other that they have a lot of respect and appreciation for one another.
