Part III. What can you learn from the full recording of 625 meeting?
Part I of this series gives you some background information about characteristics of Korean idol fandom and how it relates to the the meeting.
Part II of this series summarizes what happened at the meeting as well as who were present at the meeting.
In the summary, we take direct quotes of conversations from the recording. If you want to compare it with our full transcription, go here.
In part III we will put together some of the things that we can learn from the conversations, because it is important to know what WAS said and what WAS NOT said at the meeting.
What we can find out from the 625 meeting:
1. The three members, Jaejoong, Yuchun, and Junsu, knew SM was going to interfere with their entertainment activities if they were to leave SM.
2. Distribution of profit between TVXQ and SM is unfair, and the members don’t know about their contract in Japan.
3. The contract for domestic activities are also unfair.
4. SM knew and approved their investment in the cosmetic business.
5. SM was getting in between the members to obscure the true purpose of this lawsuit.
6. The three just wanted to tell the truth about the rumors to their fans and about their stance in the current situation.
The part III explains each points of these points in detail. Please read and compare it to what ‘other people’ said about the meeting, Jaejoong, Junsu, and Yuchun.
Part IV will talk about how this information was manipulated and altered.

The more I read and understand this whole issue, the more pissed I’m with SM and those who are with them!
How in the world can people still believe in the lies SM and hotel girls are coming up with?
Oh man!!!
But, I believe in Karma!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What goes around comes around!
It’s really sad. Even if these things were not pointed out and clarified, the fact there IS a power imbalance should be enough to give some suspicion that yeah, SM can be seen as taking advantage of TVXQ.
Plus the whole rumor/gossip …….to come out and label JYJ as ‘betrayer’ and are being ‘greedy’ is a smoke screen to hide an altogether transparent issue with SM and for that matter kpop industry but SM being in the forefront. It’s really sad for those fans who bought into this rumor/gossip.
Even now, they (SM & Hotel fans) really don’t want to address the real issue. It amazes me how persistent they are but I guess they have to believe what they have to believe otherwise their whole foundation will come down.
I hate to say it but haters will be haters.
Please don´t say that! T_T… you sound just like those haters in Truetvxq. Don´t wish them bad, just wish good for those we care 😀
Sorry buy I don’t think I can wish SM well.
I believe it comes to a point where those who do bad should be punished.
And seriously, pls dont put me in the same level as those people.
At least, I DO NOT spread rumors about others.
ill read this later… though i know this is just more justification how stupid and selfish people can be just because they think they are right…
i’ve read it and it’s so damn sad that people keep on doing this till now because of selfishness and whatever evil that comes to their minds…
i hate it that those fans that once loved the five seem so happy spreading rumors and lies just to protect what/who they think is right at the moment.
when all this crap ends, i know i’ll be proud to say i made a stand to make a change and i am supporting a group that respects rights and advocates fairness and love.
can’t wait for the rest
Everytime I read something related to SM and Hotel girls I want to fly to Korea and punch them in the face.
lmfao mee TOO.
I want to burn the SM building down ofc with no people in it. SO BAD! HATE SM.
Thank you and DCTVXQgall for sharing this with us!
But even as JYJ supporter, I do feel it was wrong from them (the family members and fans). I read the translation and it does sound as if they blamed or not blamed but sort of Homin were bad for not joining them and telling the fans to spread it, and it does sound as if “we have to say we support all of them” very hypocrite. Trust me I´m 100% supporting JYJ, but I wish they hadn´t said it. Because of that there are more anti-JYJ. Don´t tell me I got it wrong, because I don´t think so,and if I wasnßt the only one there were probably in the meeting those who felt that way, and probably being JYJ fans wrote just like the family told them to, in their blogs. So in their blogs they posted “We have to support all 5, but after the meeting we know that the 2 didnßt wanted to join!” and they could have added many more things. I know this is old, but sometimes I think the more people gets involved in the lawsuit, they are prone to making mistakes and antis will hold onto them to bring JYJ down….
It doesn´t matter anymore but this old news are bringing a whole new anti army in Truetvxq. Even death wishes for JYJ….
If everyone just sits back and let the lies continue then JYJ will be brought down. It is past time to clear up the rumors and false information. Do you not understand that if the ones trying to clear up the rumors about JYJ leave out facts and edit information just to protect feeling or make anyone involved look better then they would be just as bad as the antis of JYJ? I want all the facts no matter how disappointing or ugly those facts may be and I want those facts about both sides of the fence. I will make up my own mind about the situation. The writers, of these articles, personal opinions do not sway my decision. The facts sway my decision.
As for those antis they really need a reality check. Their fantasy land is not only harming themselves but innocent people as well. Most of the time I feel pity for them but every time I read something like this all I feel is anger. If anyone wishes death for another human being they really are not worthy of even my pity. I hope they get some psychological help because they obviously need it.
Part of supporting JYJ is understanding what has happened and being able to recognize rumors & lies. This may be old news, but it’s brand new to many newer JYJ fans (and even to some longtime DBSK5 fans outside of Korea).
For months (before JYJ3 and JYJfiles blogs started) I was reading Sharingyoochun blog and in the comments I could not understand what some people were saying about JYJ. They kept talking about “625” and how it proved JYJ were greedy and that their families and fansites were vicious and manipulative, etc. I didn’t understand what these comments were talking about until I read this “old news” and got the full picture. Then I remembered back in August 2009 seeing comments that were really disturbing, saying that once the “full truth” was out, JYJ would have no fans left, stuff like that. Most of the time, comments from international fans were confused/sad/hopeful for DBSK5 to stay together, etc. Then suddenly there would be some comment “don’t believe anything JaeSuChun says” or “JaeSuChun are out to destroy DBSK”. It was so strange and unsettling.
It’s only now, over a year later, that I can understand why that was happening, understand why there were commenters saying things like that when most people were not. It’s unfortunate that comments like that still happen now, everyday, and that’s why these unhappy events from 2 years ago keep being talked about and explained.
I don’t see why it’s bad to say “we know the 2 didn’t join” because obviously they didn’t. Reading that the 2 considered leaving doesn’t make me lose respect or hate HoMin. While I’m curious to know why they stayed, I accept that they’re individuals and they made different choices. I don’t think HoMin are blamed in this translation, I just don’t get that feeling. I have, unfortunately, read things that are very anti-HoMin and do blame them. It makes me sad because to me, the real issue is SM vs. JYJ, not HoMin vs. JYJ. The people who are supporting SM by spreading hate are doing HoMin no good. And it’s awful that the hate bounces back from some JYJ supporters to HoMin, not to SM, where it belongs.
Who do I blame for DBSK5 splitting into two groups? I blame SM. If they had fair contracts – or even if they had been willing to negotiate or hear the members’ complaints and make changes – the 5 would still be together.
Sorry this is long and I apologize if I said anything that seemed harsh or bashing to you. I’m not bashing anyone, but trying to give you another view: that what’s old news to someone may be new news to someone else.
^_^ I don´t feel bash at all. The comments help me see things in other perspectives.
@Laura
SME and these HoTel girls are acting like bullies. The only way to deal with bullies is to call them out. Bullies count of their victims to cower. You separate the bullies from their followers, they don’t have much fight there.
Despite any misinterpretations that could come from messages given by the family members, they have a right to protect their loved ones. If they don’t do it, who will?
From the very beginning JYJ understood, this would not be an easy path. What SME & party hoped would happen – JYJ falling flat on their faces – didn’t happen either. So, the continued character attacking. This is all they have, and it isn’t working either. They are pretty much playing to the choir. Fat lot of good that’s doing them.
Once all the dust settles, they will have very little to show for all that they have attempted. What goes around comes around – the Universe will reward based on intentions. Since their intentions are dishonorable, it shouldn’t surprise anyone, they will fail. What you put out, you get back.
Because JYJ and their families have done nothing to indicate any dislike or harm to HoMin, their consciences are clear.
@Laura
Kept stepping back will only allow this people with evil intentions to keep pushing in.
I think the last 1&half years are enough to prove that being nice dont get us far.
If truth be told, I regret why we only came out so late, when rumors are at this level already.
@girls who reply above, I agree with what you gals said. (^^)
