A leader with a strong sense of responsibility, Jaejoong.
One day,
I was heading to the studio in Town Shinzyuku.
I had been asked quite suddenly to do an interview *sweatdrop*, so as I drove my car I was talking to my IPhone Voice Memo, (saying) “let’s ask this, let’s ask about that.”
When I entered the studio, there were already quite many of the staff there… perhaps because I did not feel comfortable, I didn’t catch that Jaejoong had offered an act of kindness to me (if it was just the usual, this could not have possibly happened… again, *sweatdrop*)
Oh, Jaejoong is saying hello to me… I hurriedly raise my hand.
And, a bit later, preparation finished.
I sat opposite from him.
I was the one who was nervous.
(He said) “Let’s relax” (Huh? Who? The person who’s on edge is me, I guess… *laugh*)…
He (also) dragged out his words for humor (for me)…
I asked a lot of things… Although I had written things down, in that position impromptu questions flowed out from me… such as
“If you were to make a meal for Yuchun, what would you like to make?” or…
“How about for Junsu?”
Because I had asked all the questions I had intended to ask,
When we stood up, we shook hands, and as always, we hugged.
That is the point– which is just like him…
He really communicates his heart with a hug.
But, (Jaejoong was) a bit unconvinced about something,
(and unsurprisingly) a bit later, he (sat down)…
“This (interview) isn’t just for Japan, right? I know that Tokyo is the theme, but isn’t the content a bit too skewed to Japan only? Perhaps we should consider/think a bit more about the fans in other countries?”
Amazing… he’s thinking about these kinds of things.
Well, although there weren’t any basic problems (with the interview) because the goal was to have Tokyo as an aspect and to draw out their plans for the future…
“Then, should we do it over again?”
With that… sat down again to do it… from the very beginning.
Jaejoong has a very strong sense of responsibility.
Should I say that he is self-aware of (having to be) a leader… it’s that the burden which he must carry is very heavy… Therefore, the “oldest.”
Definitely, Jaejoong is the Eguchi Yosuke from the drama “Under one Roof” (T/N: a popular Japanese drama)… how amazing.

Basically the person (female I think) was worried about meeting and interviewing Jaejoong, but he was actually sweet, nice and calming and showed his leader skills by showing that he thinks about all his fans (the interview seem to just target japanese fans because of the 3 voices theme is tyoko but jj said that they should consider all countries (basically fans) and then decided to do the interview all over again…showing his greatness ^^

And once again, another fanboy for JJ. He knows how to make men question their sexuality…in case in point, a good guyfriend of mine who is 100% straight is totally crazy about JJ (I showed him a video once and that was it!) and would go gay for him, if possible. It’s funny that he doesn’t see anything feminine about JJ, for him, JJ is 100% what a real man is and should be.
I am assuming the interviewer is a guy because for some reason, the blog reads like a man wrote it?

But he’s basically been part leader ever since dbsk, him and yunho was more like co-leaders to most people, but yunho was just the official leader.
Well… Jaejoong Oppa is not an official leader if that’s what You are asking… JYJ said it themselves in interview that JYJ do not have a leader when they mentioned how they are still members of TVXQ before being members of JYJ…
But unofficially I think he is something like a leader in JYJ… he already was like vice-president of TVXQ and Yunho Oppa was the president LOL (I think they still are like that it’s just that Yunho can’t be a leader for JYJ as for now so Jaejoong take that part temporary ^^).
Anyways it’s cute how the staff is announcing him the leader of JYJ even tho JJ like the rest of JYJ has only one Leader YunniBear <3<3<3

Because he is too modest and doesn’t have confidence in himself as much as the members do or fans do
For example when asked a question he replies “Who am I to say……..”
He is the leader, but he will not admit it nor will he probably let Yoosu admit it.
Yeah, he says that the three of them work together. Yoochun and Junsu smile and says, “Whatever the leader says is right.” (Paraphrased. 😉 )
Also, TVXQ needed a leader who would represent SME. I think Jaejoong was too much of a wild card for SME to feel comfortable with him in that role. Let’s face it, he’s not even sure what will come out of his mouth much of the time. (I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!)
Eliza- My sentiment exactly!!! I always feel that jae is honest and too wild for sm to control though he wasn’t assign as the leader. But he plays a huge role behind the scenes.
@Eliza exactly, SME (and most ent companies) chose a leader as a representative for them and it’s really just for official reasons. I always thought it doesn’t hold much value artistically and personally.
@chuxx I agree. It’s not so much a leadership role as a spokesman for the company, both to the audience and to the group. The companies don’t encourage real leadership, leaders will put the group first. When idol groups have leaders you get Shinhwa and JYJ. 😀

Sometimes, I want him to be a bit more selfish, to think of himself for once, even if there are people who might argue otherwise.
JJ asked the fans about being more selfish and considering himself for a change, in a twitter; then he changed his mind and decided that would not be like him. A true leader for JYJ!

I think everyone has selfishness in themselves even my beloved JJ. However the point is that you know it or not that you’re being selfish and realize that you should fix it. I adore JJ so much not because he is a flawless man but because he’s a man who’s really ohnest to himself and dare to admit his own flaws. He has his own common sense to think what is right or wrong in an open-minded way. And yes, he tends to fix his flaws and improve himself as time passes.
I’ve been learning many things from this man. I’m really thankful to him for making me think out of the box and try to keep my ego down.
