With JYJ continuing to face difficulties appearing on television despite the court’s guarantee of their independent activities, fans have started their own campaigns for JYJ.
JYJ fans have recently started subway screen ads in 21 Seoul stations and in January began “We Support Your Youth” bus ads in Seoul and other major Korean cities.
In addition, fans are conducting a petition for JYJ’s appearance on broadcasting stations and fund-raising for an advertisement protesting unfair treatment against JYJ. Fans are speaking out about the fact that their artist is being treated unfairly.
On the topic of Seoul Central Court’s guarantee of JYJ’s independence from SM to conduct their own unhindered activities, a union of JYJ fans are asking whether public broadcasting companies should follow Korean law or decisions made by companies and statements made by corporations
Fans are claiming that if the public broadcasting stations want to use taxes collected from citizens, the broadcasting stations must follow the law and the judiciary decision and take action to ensure JYJ’s appearance on broadcasts without limitations.
[Translation] We are looking for JYJ, who is missing from television. |
JYJ can’t be seen on TV. Whose fault is it? |
Furthermore, they raised their voices and stated, “national broadcasting stations cannot broadcast for specific companies or individuals. If they broadcast only for business goals and profit of those who have taken over with their ability to supply, the public broadcasting stations become distant from their purpose of serving the public’s common interest.
Meanwhile, although JYJ has been guaranteed their ability to conduct independent activities by the court, they are facing difficulties with appearing on broadcasts with “JYJ’s Real 24″ becoming suddenly canceled.

True.
Korean JYJ Family is intelligent. Turn up the public pressure by showing the ‘your money’ [taxpaying public’s] is being used at the will of the corporates.
Hit them where it hurt. Funding.
hell yes! if those broadcasting companies are operating bec of the people’s taxes, they oughta listen to who is actually giving them the resources to continue their operations.
i wish i was there. i wanna slap that on the TV bosses’ faces.
HELL YEA
if i know those companies are taking my money i would like to know that the groups i like are being shown on TV and not just the news, those broadcasting stations are pretty much cheating money out of their consumers, they should listen to the people and grow some damn balls. im happy that korean fans arent giving up, i would love to see what the responses from those major broadcasting companies
bravo, Korean fans should tell those broadcast companies, who are the boss. they are not serving only SM but they should serve the public interest. Hopefully, we will be able to see JYJ soon on TV. I miss them sssoooo sooo sooo much.
Watching those A-nation clips from JYJ Memories 2010 makes me miss seeing our boys perform so much, not to mention their dorkiness and Jae’s randomness in variety shows. T__T I love the fact that JYJ’s fans are more vocal and active day by day, especially in Korea, but why hasn’t it changed anything? Those broadcasting stations still seem unaffected and oblivious. I’m so pissed. *sigh*
I know, I miss them soo much that’s why I have been watching the old variety shows, the sucks thing is that I have to watch Homin as well…thank goodness for the fast forward button lol.
hahaha!
ja ja ja. Thank Goodness!!!
@Angie
” I love the fact that JYJ’s fans are more vocal and active day by day, especially in Korea, but why hasn’t it changed anything? Those broadcasting stations still seem unaffected and oblivious. I’m so pissed. *sigh*”
It’s all about money, and lobbying lawmakers to keep the status quo.
But having said that, as the K-fans are doing, they’re raising their voices about tax dollars. As the voices continue, the lawmakers and policy makers will have no choice but to begin to listen.
Public lobbying ultimately, will have a voice as strong as these companies, because afterall, the companies are not the ones in the voting booths on election day.
It will take time, but the outcome will be the right one. Remember, good things come to those who wait.
i know… *sighs*
i just hope i don’t have grandchildren yet when that happens… gawd!
Oh, I don’t think it will take that long. 🙂
The more these two companies behave like bullies, the less likely they will prevail. Look at all the ‘outside’ of the industry voices that are being raised. That’s not being lost on the Korean govt. either. FAITH
🙂 Just will be patient. this quality now is very useful in our world. I believe all will be ok in nearest future 😉
I understand. However I don’t think there’ll ever be such thing as the government or some law enforcement entities issuing an order to those broadcasting stations saying that “you ought to feature JYJ in this or that show or else…” It’s still all up to them. No matter how much we raise our voice, if it doesn’t cause a big enough impact on those media outlets that makes them voluntarily change their minds, things will still remain the same even after JYJ win the lawsuit. And that frustrates me. With what JYJ possess, they should be on top by now instead of having to struggle to be able to appear on TV and deal with all the messes. JYJ are all in their mid-20, and they also have 2-year military service ahead. I wish for them to enjoy their career and success as long as possible before they’re off to serve their country. Come to think of it, there’s really not much time left to waste on these bullshits. But I guess we have no choice, I’ll support them all the way and wait patiently for miracles to happen. ^____^
One more advantage to this struggle — the fans that are willing to fight for their right to perform will also have the patience to wait those two years while they are in the army. They will come out to a fandom as strong as when they left.
when you want them to listen you totally have to use the word ‘money’
Korean fans are really smart…
true..it just same like buying a product that we even dont want to use it. JYJ appearance on broadcasting channels is a must! I want to see them in happy together, running man, music bank! Not in just 1 to 2 minute news..and also without homin disturbance..
It’s a long hard battle….. But we will be there with JYJ every step of the way. 🙂
Actually what the Korean’s Fans said are quite true….They are the “Tax Payers” which is why they have the right to say….
Broadcasters are not suppose to work for specific individual entertainment’ companies….They belong to the Korea Tax Payers, that is the public interests….
Awesome & Bravo to the KOREAN’s FANS…..
A+ for this news ^^
YES!
kfans are jjangggggg
We do need to see them on TV D: I hope that they’ll get to promote this new thing they’re woking on *sooo excited*
I really miss them now T^T
If I were the broadcast stations, I’d really think things over. Piss off the public enough and they’ll tear you apart like it’s no joke! I this warning to them 🙂
Who ever wrote this, knows very well where to poke the lion for it to wake up. 😀 😀 😀
my concerns is how long does this battle will be….so far the fans is standing firm in this battle. Even if JYJ win the lawsuit the battle will continue for many years to come. its seriously hard to move a practice that plaque a system. I hope we will continue to fight this battle together.
A+
yes, we will do it together!!!JYJ family Fighting!!
i think no matter what happen d broadcasting stations wont broadcast about jyj except for jyj drama… hurmmm… btw i like d new background n banner of jyj… so that some people will know that this site is esp 2 discuss bout jyj only… 😀

THIS.
IS.
SO.
TRUE.
Jyj family is realy adorable and intelligent. and what attracts the most is that we believe in good and positive way of thinking. Some day the other part will understand that. But what is true is that bad actions and thoughts always return. Sometime it feels that we have some light inside of us, just like Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu have. Maybe this light calls “belief in what our dreams can come true” 🙂
thumbs up for korean fans!!!
Just love these subway ads. Smart and beautifully written.
I think they should file a written complaint with the govt agency that oversees the broadcast companies using the petition format used by thejyjfiles and run that as a full page ad in The Korea Times.
