Internet book store, Interpark revealed on the 11th that Kim Junsu (JYJ member)’s Musical Concert DVD has ranked #1 in DVD Bestsellers in three days since its release.
More people pre-ordered Junsu’s musical DVD than Suh Taeji’s Limited Edition Concert DVD released last November, and since the start of pre-orders on February 28th, it quickly took the #1 spot from Won Bin’s “Ahjuhshi” DVD which was ranked #1 for three consecutive weeks.
‘Kim Junsu Musical Concert-Levay with Friends’ contains highlights from musicals ‘Mozart’ and ‘Elizabeth’ performed by Kim Junsu, world-famous composer Sylvester Levay, and famous Korean actors such as Suh Bum Suk, Bae Hae Sun, and Jun Dong Suk. The large-scale concert with live music performance can be vividly enjoyed through the two-part DVD.
Furthermore, the DVD contains splendid concert video footage of “Mozart’s” 18 songs such as “You are my music,” and “Why don’t you love me,” and contains Korean versions of six songs from musical “Elizabeth,” which has not yet been shown in Korea. Through the DVD, you can enjoy Kim Junsu personally playing the piano and singing “I missed you,” the song given to Junsu by Levay.
The DVD, which contains not only the performance but an hour-long making footage showing backstage preparations for the concert, comes with an 80-page photobook of Junsu during the concert.

I’m not familiar with the rest of idols cum musical actors, but I think Junsu has to be one of the most critically acclaimed and most successful from all the reviews and news I read.

not every artist can be a musical actors. Junsu is one of the lots that try to break through. The rest….i dx really get any news over their involvement. some was even forgetful

Exactly, from what I gather, most of them are only being cast to just draw in the crowd.
Most idols are already mediocre singers to start with and they falter when put under a more vocally challenging role a musical actor requires to do. Can’t blame them, most probably it’s their management decision, anyway.
May be that’s why Junsu is so well-received due to his ability and passion. The guy breathes and lives for music.
