With idol groups JYJ and KARA facing drawn-out disputes with their respective agencies, veteran singer Insooni has decided to give some advice to young idol group members.
“Teams are meant to be broken up and if you aren’t happy with your agency, you have to fight,” said Insooni. ”But there are few things you should think about first.”
While appearing on a music program, the star explained that she’s often sought out by her industry juniors. “The majority of singers who come and say hi in my dressing room are idols. I always tell them to remember few things.”
“When working in a group, each member holds a different opinion about their contract. Also, you have to see who really cares about you. Your first manager may care for you but your second manager may prioritize money. It’s better to fight with someone who cares for you if you have to fight with your management. You have to understand that the agency has to make money too.”
She also added, “Talk about it with either a senior or your role model. You can’t cry in front of just anyone for your troubles, but you can cry in front of your senior. Your senior understands why you are crying. Find a mentor like that.”
Insooni reflected, “I also debuted as part of the Hwe Sisters, but our team broke up in two years.” She stressed, “You have to work hard until you accomplish your goal.”

Personally, I feel like she shouldn’t go around talking like she knows exactly what’s going on.
She’s put a lot of my feelings into words.
I like how instead of talking about the lawsuit like she knows EVERYTHING that’s been going on indoors and outdoors *certain people I will not say*, she instead gives advice to artists who are struggling WITHOUT judging them.
Shes an extremely respected artist and is a seasoned veteran in the business. I’m pretty sure she has seen and knows a lot more than other artists know about the korean entertainment industry.
So far, I think she’s the most unbiased out of all the people who have talked about this lawsuit. I still go with people on the outside not speaking to the press about the lawsuit but it’s public now. Can’t stop people from talking about it I guess. 😐

I agree with what she said about finding a mentor, individuals having different opinion in a group and etcs.
There is nothing wrong that JYJ and Homin having different opinions regarding the contract. We are all human beings and thus, there are bound to chances where your team mate chooses path A and you going path B. However, it IS wrong if you as a team member start to degrade your previous teammates or friends. For eg, saying that they are ungrateful. You cannot go about saying things that can downgrade your member and you will be the one getting hurt in the end.
And I believe that is the time where some or most formerly OT5 fans started to take sides.
I agree that there must be a line drawn between the natural opposition and the malevolent opposition. You’ve made it clear that those with contrary ideas only become malevolent when they degrade the opposing side – in other words, attacking the opponent, not their fissures in logic.
When Homin lied that they were completely unaware of the Plan, claiming their innocence on national television, it was the last straw. I can respect people with values perverse to mine, but liars, I cannot.
totally agree with you.. i was actually a changmin bias but when he started spouting the “ungrateful” words for jyj and the flock thingy.. i started to hate his guts together with yunho.. well never liked yunho that much anyway except for the yunjae part :)))
So true. even though you are in the same team, you can have different opinions about the contract, so there’s no need to hold a grudge against your ex-team mate just because he doesnt have the same opinion with you =.= and this statement of her is unbiased, very wise, I like that. I’m fed up w “drama” by outstanders already.

Sorry, I don’t want to be rude but in my humble opinion, this separation did good things to JYJ, they are tougher now, and more creative.
