POWERHOUSE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
If you are interested in experiencing the excitement of the happenings behind the dazzle of the stage, come volunteer for one of our events! You must be at least 18 years of age in order to volunteer.
Most of the events presented or coordinated by POWERHOUSE will come with an opportunity to volunteer. Opportunities will include a variety of responsibilities, from dressing room staffing to crowd control.
Volunteer opportunities are normally available on the day of the event and only limited to our members. However, every so often, there may be volunteer opportunities available on non-event days as well, so make sure you keep up with the announcements. Members interested in volunteering must notify Powerhouse via email host@powerhouselive.net within the given time frame officially announced via Email, Facebook, and/or Twitter. Only those who submit a request within this time frame will be considered for volunteering.
The email must have the subject line “VOLUNTEER: (Name of the concert)” or it will not be responded to.In other words, if you do not receive a reply from us, then that means you did not follow directions. (Note: Not being able to follow simple directions tells us that you will have a difficult time following directions as an event volunteer.) If the concert is part of a tour taking place in multiple cities, you must include the name of the city in the subject line as well. The volunteer MUST be a registered member on the Powerhouse website http://www.powerhouselive.net/register.aspx, like us on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/pages/Los-Angeles-CA/POWERHOUSE/71968914565?ref=mf, and follow us on Twitter twitter.com/powerhouselive.
**IMPORTANT** In the body of the email, please include the following:
1. Full Legal Name (as shown on ID)
2. Age (include birthdate)
3. Contact Number
4. Primary Email
5. Spoken Languages
6. Time Availability on the Day of Event
7. Past Powerhouse Volunteer Experiences
8. Powerhouse Website UserName
9. Facebook Name
10. Twitter ID
Appropriate Powerhouse staff will review all requests and choose volunteers based on task availability and requirements. The selected volunteers will then be notified for confirmation and given further details/instructions. Each volunteer must submit a signed Volunteer Waiver Form before or on the day of the event. (A new waiver form must be submitted for each event.) Once the volunteer list is finalized for the specific event, we will again make an official announcement via Email, Facebook, and/or Twitter so that all who have submitted a request will have an answer.

Do you have, to have a powerhouse account? and can you explain some more of the powerhouse. please. thank, you. :3
They’re the company that is promoting JYJ concert. You don’t have to worry about if they’re legit or not.. Because they basically produce most of the kpop concerts in North America. They’ve done JYP’s tour, Wonder Girls w. 2AM tour, and they also were the ones behind SMTOWN `10.
wow… go go go US JYJ family! MISSION make it! Impress JYJ!!!
OMG!!! i guess, i’ll try my luck.. LOL!!
You, lucky girls. I hope all of you will have the chance.
Hopefully I’ll be lucky enough hahahaha
OOOOhhhh… I’m so excited for this… I’m clearing my schedule to do the volunteer work. hahahahaha… one chance in a lifetime for me…
too bad, they just posted in their facebook account that they’re not accepting volunteers at the moment.
I’m confused … this sounds kind of messed up. I know Powerhouse Live is supposed to be a pretty established promoter but “VOLUNTEERS”??!?? Seriously? That does not sound professional at all. Just man up and hire the extra, /trained/ labor that you need.
That sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. No one would know until a week before so they can’t make plans and you wouldn’t have any training b/c the time is so short. Does anyone know what on earth would you do as a “volunteer” anyway?
they are taking advantage of hardcore fans like us, who would do anything to have a chance to see their idols. Plus, this may be a good way to save them some labor cost ^^, I wonder if volunteers get in the concert for free?
Yes, you watch the show free. That’s the main lure of volunteering. I know people who would do this on a regular basis in order to see as many concerts as possible. (Might not be as common now as it was 20 years ago….)
um it’s not that weird at all… alot of higher profile events have volunteers… even stuff like fashion week or concerts have volunteers… so… dunno I don’t think it’s that weird 🙂
I know alot of friends who have volunteered at concert tours for like a full summer…
yea I read on their website that you can either get concert tickets or volunteer but be prepared to work during the concert … I really hope volunteers get to watch a good portion of the concerts instead of working in a place where they can’t see!
Thanks btw for everyone’s responses!! This was the first time I’ve heard of volunteers for “for-profit” concerts so I was puzzled. I guess I just assumed that only really happens at benefit concerts I’ve volunteered for in the past.
Its promotion, low cost(for them) and opportunity(fans and future workers) wrapped into one. Powerhouse, from what i have read, is legit.
No problem! They´re not accepting! >__<
It will look good on somebody’s resume. People volunteer all the time here. They usually do it for their resume or to do good. I think these particular volunteers wouldn’t like you to take away their chance to see the boys face to face.
NOT FAIR
*sulking*
Lolol. I wish i could volunteer too *spazz*, but i live away from any city they are touring, so no point for me.
POWERHOUSELIVE
WE’RE NOT ACCEPTING ANY VOLUNTEER REQUESTS AT THE MOMENT. PLEASE DON’T SEND ANY EMAILS RELATED TO VOLUNTEERING. THEY’LL BE IGNORED. THANKS!
(Via twitter @POWERHOUSELIVE ) ^^;;
LOL! They got bombarded by JYJ fans!!
Volunteering our labor and time for free is normal in our area. There are many opportunities here to do volunteer service. Jut a couple of examples when we had the Olympics, thousands did volunteer work and were happy to do it. Also when there are oath taking ceremonies for new American citizens it is usually done in an area that holds 5 to 10 thousand people again hundreds volunteer for that. There are many community clubs here that have many members who have free time to do such work. Please don’t feel that you are being taken advantage of…..people here do it because they want to that’s why it is called volunteer. I think it is a great opportunity to share. And these volunteer workers most often do a better job than the paid laborers because they consider it not as a regular job but doing something fun and brief.
A++++++ 100% agree,..I did alot of volunteer when I in School, really had fun, feel more relax, see other wonderfull new thing, meet alot of good kind ppls, share in more information..better than when I work right now and have pay!!!
THIS.
Exactly why it’s called VOLUNTEER!
i would so apply to volunteer if they were coming anywhere near my state lol
im a trying my luck for the LA concert
OMG i would love to meet the guys!!
volunteer is pretty much a norm. I also remembered when they came for korean music festival in LA there was also volunteers. It’s not just for jyj concerts but alot of concerts have volunteer opportunities. I also recall when there was a certain festival, volunteers where able to get free tickets etc.
I need to know will they be near me…then I’ll see if I can volunteer. I would LOVE to man.
omg GOSH!
Oh, I wish I was in the U.S. to be volunteer for their concert.
I wish I have a chance to help out in the boys concert!
