I think the Korean count the age same as what I was thought when I was young.
When the day a baby was born, he/she is already counted 1 years old. And when the lunar new year comes, you’ll get 1 year older.
Like Jae’s case, he was born in January 1986 – he is 1 years old. Comes lunar year in February 1986 – he is 2 years old.
