LOL. All I can see when I look at Chun is Vulcan!! LOL. My eyes are even manipulating his ears into pointy ones >_<
Really can't wait to see his new hair. Vulcan-style has gone on long enough. 😀
Gah…Chun's look is so warm and loving…it's giving me the fuzzies. *pouts and pats head in advance* Poor energizer timex puppy doesn't know what's coming at him…or does he? *rubs hands together* Can't wait for next week!!
No…Definitely no! I actually want it too…it has been the halfway of the drama but…
I’m starting to afraid that there will be no lip to lip no no no I mean passionate lip to lip kiss between the two of them! T.T Nooooo…
Girl, u want to see us dying on the floor??? A big NO!!! I was so ahppy that he gave up Lie to me cuz i know that girl is a real good kisser though she is a girl… I like her, but not with chunie….
If u want a real french kiss of chunie, wait till i become an actress… ROFL.. *keep dreaming*
Most K-dramas lack that passionate sexy scenes 😦 most of the romance scenes are either awkward cuteness such as “oh no i ran into you showering, or oh no i tripped and fell on you and our lips are a inch apart. Finally the one real kiss that comes towards the end of the drama. This is kinda why i prefer Taiwanese dramas……such as “It started with a kiss” and “Fated to love you”.
@shuheilove
“I definitely want to see a real lip to lip, mouth to mouth kiss, not this father to daughter kiss. ”
So right. This was not a kiss. I don’t know what it was or what audience demographic it was playing to, but it was NOT a kiss. I HATE these on-screen kisses where the actors don’t even move their lips! (I just saw one this morning, I was watching “Season Of The Sun” with Hideaki Takazawa.) Or the ones where the person being kissed doesn’t even move their arms, they just stand there like sticks. WTH!? What is this supposed to signify?? That the person involved is a “nice, well-brought up, virtuous girl?” I don’t think so. I think what it says in reality is …”this one will probably not be a good lover.”
I like the kiss scene between Gung Yoo and Yoon Eun Hye in ‘1st Shop Coffee Prince’…so intense and full of wanting, like your heart wanna burst for loving someone and want to show it..or maybe it just me?..hahaha..
But this scene between Yoohyun & Miri feels so caring and romantic..love is there but not so much..well, need to see the episode to get the real feel 🙂 🙂
Sis, no passion, no heat. Cold as a dead fish. Maybe we are accustomed to witness “hot kisses on fire” at the screen, that not many times have happened to become real passions and love (Ryan Phillippe-Reese Witherspoon, Tom Cruise-Nicole Kidman, Brad Pitt- Angelina Jolie just to name a few ones). We want to see hot kisses, real ones which makes us experience the excitement of the moment. ¡That’s what we want to see!
Yeah, I have to agree this is not a kiss. But it’s kind of typical in Kdramas. I’m always amazed whenever I see something that even hints at being a ‘real’ kiss. When I saw the kissing scene in Goong, I had to go back a couple of times to make sure I was seeing what I thought I was seeing. I was impressed to say the least.
Is it me, my culture, my age…or whatever, but I can’t stand this peck on the forehead thing marketed as kissing in Korean drama. This man has some of the most appealing lips in the world. Seriously, it’s a sin not to make some use of them for a real kiss between an allegedly woman and man in love. It’s not enough that we have to deal with all Cinderella bullxxxx over and over, now we have to accept the forehead peck as a kiss, which is actually that is a popo ( in Korean). That’s a sorry axx of a kiss if you ask me. Don’t tell me that this how couples on Korea make out. In a way this is the most effective birth control ( Ha, Ha, Ha) because is so unappealing.
Daebaksama, you better stop all this silly nonsense and go to bed. Silly me, I planned to go to bed early tonight; and it did not turn out to well.
Everytime i see Yuhyun with Miri, I am too scared that there will be a kissing scene… Thanks to PD, he knows us well , i guess… There was a real kissing scene with LDH and KSW.. But not with chun… they know chunas’ power and worry that we all will protest again miss ripley… 😀
Keep protesting my dear, the fact of the matter is that I need me to see some real kissing in that drama, so I may start protesting, too. Each one of us want something, that is fine. It’s room for not kissing and room for kissing.
Not meaning to steal-thunder from Ripley ~….but Korean drama kisses are usually as wax-figure-like as when we were little pressing Barbie & Ken’s face together ~ however…the few moments *before* the kiss can be so electrically charged that even a wax kiss seems HOTTTTTT. I offer the proof……..2:30 through 4:35
U r killing me!!! 😛 that time i dint like yoochun that much but when i see this kiss scene, i was like GRRRRRRRR…..
But that kiss is just a “wax kiss” u called… Not real one like Rain’s kisses… LOL…
May be cuz i liked PMY… Altho i get jealous, they look so sweet … 😀 but i am too scared of YC paring with Yoon Eun Hye… She is really good in kissing scenes.. Like Goong, Coffee prince, LTM and so on…. I might die if it were YC in LTM… 😀
@Sally_b
This must be the most watched scene in SKKS as my “replay” button broke under my repeated re-winding.
But shouldnt this be titled ” Steps to removing a Korean hat sensually for Dummies” or ” Manual on how to up your Sex Quotient for Beginners” or “What you always wanted to do in an Elevator but dared not” or “If Chunnie can do it, so can I” or ” Keep the Faith, the elevator will not crash”.
But Sally_b is right about the electricty in the ancient elevator. It is the romantic, endearing words cooed by YuChun, the beautiful song sung softly by JaeJoong in the background, the restrained emotions of lovers of that era and of course , the stripping of the hats – all added up to make the moment magical for SKKS fans. And we wept as they kissed.
But how’s everyone feeling after the “make sure you dont make the peck too sensual ” kiss we saw in Miss Ripley?
Is the director demanding that YuChun’s character have his hormones suppressed by sedatives when he sees Miri? Come on, give the man a break! 🙂
Hey gal-pals ~ I’ve only been able to watch bits & pieces of this drama because I harbor a particular hatred towards lying, manipulative women/people. I was raised by an extremely ethical, loving & fierce mother – who taught me how to read people’s character and to discern when others are lying-liar-pants-on-fire kind of people….AND how to expel them from my life. In the first few episodes I developed an extreme dislike for the lead female – and that killed the whole drama for me.
I know, I know…it’s just a *show*….but personally I need to feel engaged in the lead character’s motivation – with Miri, I can’t seem to find common ground, not even sympathy for her childhood. I’m old enough to have known plenty of people who had horrifc childhoods, but they grew into ethical adults. Ironically the entire show is based on her being a liar….and it is exactly that quality that turns me off to the narrative.
However….I am pleased that so many others are tuning in….and admittedly, I am sneaking peeks at Yoochun’s cuts. Perhaps I’ll be able to watch more fully when all the lies are exposed and then there’s an aftermath.
ROFL… So funny… the way you comment… I like the part, “If chunie can do it, so can I” and “keep the faith, the elevator will not crash” …. and chun’s hormones suppressed by sedatives when he sees Miri??? haaahaaa….. OMG, give me a break.. I read again and agagin and laugh…
Wait, this is my sincere question… How many of u from “NO kissing” are Koreans and how many of u from “Yes kissing” are Koreans? I really want to know… I thought Korea is a conservative country according to those dramas.. Is it true?? are the korean guys romantic like those characters in the drama??? I have always wanted to go Korea or have a Korean Bf cuz they seem so romantic and shy… I prefer a guy who gives me a forehead kiss like this than french kiss… 😀 Am I going back to the 18th century?? If some of u are korean, can u let me know how is korean like?? I ve never been there before and still trying to go for holiday… Some of my friends say korean guys are very gentle and kind… 😀
I think every country has it’s “dark horses” so not all Koreans are the same.
My colleague got to know this Korean guy who is freaking loud and rude and thinks he’s the best!
OMG~~ cannot make it.
But others like Jae, Chunnie and Su… are different… kekekke
@nandar – I’m not Korean, but I hope you don’t mind me answering ~ the kiss scene should be appropriate to the level of passion being portrayed. However, the standard in K-dramas is to just have people *press their lips together* or to hug.
That’s just NOT how passion is in real life….and I mean this in a loving way …re: “I prefer a guy who gives me a forehead kiss like this than french kiss”…….then sister, you have “not yet met” the man to give you a *proper* kiss, because I assure you….when the day comes that your heart is in flight~ (with a real life boy/man)….you will not be satisfied with a peck on the forehead. (っˆーˆ)っ ~ ~ ~❤
@Shadow Thanks.. Someone told me exactly the same thing before.. Cuz his sister’s bf is a Korean and he is a real gangster.. But the rest of others say Korean guys are gentlemen… 😛 So should i assume that mojority are like our boys??? So cute and warm…
@sally_b LOL… yes, a lot of my friends ask me to come out from K-dramas and find a bf… I guess thats my hormones which is surpressed by sedative after watching too much K-dramas… So does it mean Korean guys are not that shy like in those K-dramas??
Still my question is not fully solved… But thanks to both of u, at least i got some picture… 😀
@nandar – heehee “So does it mean Korean guys are not that shy like in those K-dramas??”
….perhaps the very young ones, but from what I know of Korean culture, which is based on neo-Confucianism…. it’s strongly Patriarchal. Meaning, everyone has a level of social heirarchy that is maintained through group pressure. Unfortunately for females, this means you must be very passive and allow the male to guide introductions and relationships. In reality, this doesn’t work so well, because my experience (mid-late 20’s) is that most males (all cultures) will not approach a girl romantically (as in *relationship, not merely sexual attraction) unless he’s CERTAIN he’s going to get a positive response.
To be honest…guys are kinda cowardly with their egos ~ 😉 So if a girl is supposed to be REALLY demure…and the guy won’t approach her until he’s gotten positive signals ~ well….eveyone could be VERY OLD before any actual connection is made.
Add into the mix that Koreans are WAYYYYYY homogenous…meaning, it’s taboo to mix with other races. If you’re thinking of going to Korea to find a Korean boyfriend….and you, yourself, are NOT Korean….be prepared to have your ideal *shy guy* look at you like you’re an alien.
HOWEVER….on the bright side….nothing is written in stone where the human heart is involved. All things are possible…❤¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪
Thanks a lot sally.. .U gave me really good points.. *sigh* ya, i also think Korean guys are very homogenous but couldnt make a conclusion cuz i havent really seen a lot of Korean people.. But i met a korean “man” once and he liked me.. But he is 30++ LOL and not tall like K-idols.. 😛 cuz he stayed in Sg and US so he is not so homogenous.. But majority of K-guys are very homogenous, i guess… 😦
Talking about guys making the first move, well, u r very right.. I mean , i am not sure about k-young guys but i stay in Sg and yes, Sg guys are very ego… well, guess it is same for all young guys regardless of race, ya?? makes me feel sad… I wish the guy will like me for who I am and whatever i do (like K-dramas) and keep liking me even if i push him away (also like in K-dramas) That’s why my friends ask me to stop living in K-dramas… 😛
Well i’m not korean, but I had a korean boyfriend ^^ He was REALLY kind and sweet, but sort of on the shy side too xD He seemed typical drama shy guyy(: He was a real gentleman, but I’m not gonna lie..they’re not THAT shy when it comes to kissing and alone time hehehehe I’ll just leave it at that:p
Unfortunately, he had to move back to Korea D: totally broke my heart </3 I still keep a diamond ring he gave me..*sigh*
LOL. All I can see when I look at Chun is Vulcan!! LOL. My eyes are even manipulating his ears into pointy ones >_<

Agree. Mostly K-Drama were only doing lip-locking/touching kisses. Even though I believe that Korean really knows how to kiss, not only popo. T.T
@ail221
Your description reminded me of Naruto’s and Sasuke’s kiss at the beginning of the anime. ¡Kekekekeke!

One of these days I promise to edit and post grammatically correct comments. Yoroshiku onegai shimasu!
Ok, then, in ur drama with chun, I will be the one to play a kissing role with chun..
daebaksama, I am helping you with FOC… ROFL.. *drooling*
Go sleep @Daebaksama!
And teach Korea what is real kissing in your dreams! hahaha (⌒▽⌒)

I vote for great big fat long wet ChunKisses that fully use the potential of Those Lips, and you know the lips I’m talking about.

I feel you girl. We need some action for those amazing lips. Seriously, now!
