The following account was posted on Korean web today:
“A world like a coin.”
It seems that this is a line from the drama ~^^
I saw a reply from another place (other than this website) and
In Protect the Boss, Jaejoong is wearing a suit and is sitting on a chair, but from his pocket a coin rolls to fall on the floor~
Jaejoong sees the coin and laughs softly/slightly, and (says)
“Hah… A world like a coin…” Read More →

[TRAN] Park Yoochun – Lee Da Hae, “It’s hot, so hot~” – Hand fans and electric fans mobilized
The unfolding scene of the main actors of MBC drama Miss Ripley fighting with the heat was captured.
In the heat wave of more than 30 degrees and the rainy season that continues day after day, the actors who fully engaged themselves into the filming have their own way to chase away the heat. Especially, the scorching sun in hot summer is the hardest to bear. In order to avoid the sunlight, a thick black umbrella is a necessity for outdoor shooting.
Lee Da Hae blocks the sun by using a thick black umbrella and cools down with a portable electric fan. That cute little electric fan is the thing Lee Da Hae loves the most in the summer. During filming or break time, she always holds the fan in her hand.
[TRANS] French Magazine “Japanstyle” – K-Pop, the new Eden ?
K-Pop, the new Eden ?
Musically different, yet similar, K-pop attracts more and more curiosity seekers. We wanted to know why.
By Carla Cino
The Hallyu (literally « Korean wave ») in hangul, is referring to the cultural diffusion of the korean media. It refers to movies, drama, music, manhwa, as well as video games or animes. On the same principles as the american hegemony after World War II or the emergence of the « cool Japan » in the mid 90’s, the Hallyu also wants its cultural influence. And since few years, this one spread through K-pop.
The Beginning
Let’s not misunderstand. Korean music is not limited to K-pop, far from it. Classical or traditional music reigned surpreme for a long time in the Land of the Morning Calm. However, when it comes to pop music, Koreans were often copying or translating american hits (just like french idols in the 60’s). A way of getting a different musicality till the 90’s, when K-pop starts to take a shape.
In the beginning, korean artists agencies are strongly influenced by their friends and competitors. There, you can feel greatly the influence of the USA, more than in any other of their asian neighbouring countries, mainly because of the US military presence in the korean territory. The idols system is mostly a copy of the japanese one, while when it comes to the music or dance, K-pop is a perfect mix of japanese and american influences. What’s the secret ? The korean touch. Let’s not delude ourselves, Korean recreate more than they create.
However, over the years (and charts regeneration), we can observe a positive evolution of idols group, who become more and more talented. A possible explanation : the systematisation and professionalization of the trainees formation.
[Fanaccount] 110709 Yoochun’s Miss Ripley Fanmeeting
[Trans Ripley fanmeeting report] we received information from people who went to today’s “Miss Ripley” filming set and photoshoot trip! Yoochun talked about “the thing enviable about being born as a ‘chaebol’ is having a private jet and conversations with father…having to speak in English (for the drama) I was lucky that I learned to speak English and Japanese”.
Yoochun also said that because he cut his hair short before and it didn’t look as good as he expected, he was feeling uneasy about cutting it short this time! When he asked which style the fans liked, Yoochun with short hair or Yoochun with long hair, there was a person who said they liked Yoochun bald and Yoochun immediately turned to look who said that…
Yoochun also said “because it rained in Korea, I’m worried about everyone getting home safely”. The fans responded “Kyaaaa, so kind~!” and Yoochun suddenly became shy!
