I really find that endearing too. It would be natural in a way for these two to develop a rivalry of sorts. Junsu being one of the more competitive people on the planet and very ambitious, it would make sense. But it’s not the case. They are genuinely close, devoted even and they truly do admire each other’s amazing abilities. I love that they work together. Each brings so much to the other’s art when they are singing together. Altogether, the 3 of them really are one of the world’s great collaborating teams.
I really don’t get the fans who love only one member & bash the other two. I mean, if the guys themselves were rivals in any way, maybe – but they so obviously love & respect one another, how can fans not love, or at least respect all three of them?? I so agree. I can’t understand it at all, but then I really love all three for their own special talents and personalities. I’m SO glad these three are together. The farther away from The Five that we get, the more I don’t miss them, which is odd because I really was a fan of their music and their sound, but I’m just really really glad it’s just The Three now.

I could be wrong, but that is the way it comes across to me.
To be this generous with your fellow members is a true skill. That only comes if you are all on the same wave length. This is why they work so well together.

True words you have written. It’s one of the reasons that listening to their songs is so fascinating for me. I love to hear the placement of each member’s part and I think you’re exactly right, the writer chooses the place in the song where each member’s voice will be shown to best advantage. Each writer in effect is making himself responsible for and to the other two artists in the group he is writing for, JYJ. It’s really quite extraordinary, the seamlessness with which they work together. We have seen, in Pop music history many many examples of it being other than this: the fighting and contentiousness of groups like Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles, Sam & Dave, etc etc., the jealousy and pettiness. But to watch these three actively supporting each other and admiring each other’s efforts is a wonderful experience, I think it is part of their aura and mystique.
The example that readily comes to mind for me is “Pierrot” which Jae wrote and which was obviously a gut-wrenchingly personal song for him. (the lyrics were devastating to read, I’m sure all would agree.) Jae had–who else?–Junsu start out the song. His leads don’t even start until the 2nd verse. This sort of decision-making as a writer-producer speaks volumes to me about Jae’s future as a writer and an artist. This man is NOT what he seems. He is NOT just a pretty face, nor has he ever been. He’s been watching EVERYTHING, he’s been learning from everyone, he’s been waiting. And now it’s his time. He’s ready.
Exactly! It’s the same way with Fallen Leaves…who leads out…Jae. Nine…Yoochun. Each one takes a lead in a song written by one of the others and lets that member’s voice set the tone for the song. Even when I listen to Song Without a Name…Yoochun’s rap is soft and fluid, but at the same time strong…then you have the ‘over’ voices of Junsu and Jaejoong, those haunting tones, and WOW! All three voices make that song stand out so much more. The fact that it was the last song in that group to be presented…only heightened the interest. And for sure, it did not disappoint!
I agree with your assessment about Jae. But the combined strengths of all the guys is what is going to make JYJ a force to be reckoned with. Once they improve on their composition skills, I imagine we are going to be looking at some of the most awesome songs to come down the pike in a long time……Given that they will now have their own recording studio in which to work, not having to be concerned with studio time, moving at their own pace. I get the shivers wondering what is going to come out of that studio!
Yes, about all the groups you mentioned, and many others. Egos get in the way, and boom! The dissension causes all kinds of havoc. But I just don’t see that happening here. Going through so much together, has to make them only stronger in sticking together. But hey, that’s a good thing…as Martha would say. 🙂

I don’t think if one say “I don’t like” it’s equivalent to hating. Just like the release of Ayyy Girl, most of the JYJ fans didn’t like it, but they still love JYJ. Yesterday there was a thread about an sm girl group comeback which most of the girls here like but they unanimously don’t like the comeback tract. But yes, I understand your concern, maybe we’re just too sensitive about mentioning homin’s name here, but it can’t really be avoided that we can talk about them because they’re in the same industry with JYJ.
Superstar was not their best song, I think “I don’t know” was better. It’s like with JYJ too, their title song “Ayy Girl” was just ok for me, I like their second tract “Empty” much better too.

I am good at raising children , raised five already across two continents: 4 girls and one boy. I love little girls, but no matter what they are if they are Jaebabies ( by the way if any of you have Junbabies or Chunbabies, I am still available), I will help with their upbringing. I speak of languages, I love books, outings, etc… So, please pretty please.
Its not really the fact that shes an idol, its the fact that she can fit to become anyone you want her to become. The company who produced her hasn’t really constricted her to a personality, or anything like that. Also, shes a vocaloid, meaning anyone can use her voice to produce their own songs(beat, lyrics) + MV. Shes just an image ^_^ All her songs are made by everyday people.
This is one of the songs that made me fall unconditionally in love with their music. When I first heard this song, I was like “That’s it, I’ve found my favorite group” and I stand by that statement.
Another prove that JYJ boys always brings briliant performances. I rarely hear the recorded version of this song. The live performance is more epic and fantastic

I have posted a few times on the GAP post but I’ve never officially introduced myself. So……
Hello everyone~!!
I am from the USA (Ohio, anyone?), and a friend introduced me to TVXQ in 2007. Since then, I followed TVXQ5 until it became quite clear that they were not going to remain together as a group. At that point, I became an absolutely avid JYJ fan. 😀 I have been fortunate enough to see them perform live in the U.S. a few times, and for that I am truly very thankful. As for the members… I absolutely love all three of JYJ! ❤ It is really hard for me to choose one bias, though I suppose I do tend to drift more toward Jaejoong and Junsu^^ But I still really love Yoochun too!
What had originally drawn me to TVXQ in the first place was their amazing vocal skills. In my opinion, they seriously were better than anyone's I had ever heard. They had very unique voices as individuals (especially I thought Junsu and Jaejoong), and they harmonized together perfectly. And, of course, the fact that they are just absolutely adorable hooked me onto them too XD Not only that, but being an only English-speaking fan, I really wanted to understand their lyrics more. I taught myself Hangul in high school, and when I started college, I began using Rosetta Stone for the Korean language. Just last year, I also studied Japanese at my university. Though I am not fluent in either of the two languages, I still know much more than I ever thought I would. Along with learning the languages, I have become truly intruiged by both Korean and Japanese culture, and I would love to be able to visit both someday. I really credit TVXQ and JYJ for allowing me to recognize my true love of travel. Not having the chance to travel before, I have been able to go to both LA and NYC (and Newark) to see them. These cities are in my country, but it is still a start, and I really hope to travel the world someday. I never knew how much I loved travel until I did for the first time to see TVXQ at the Hollywood Bowl. Being a fan of theirs really opened up my eyes to several Asian cultures and languages, and I honestly feel like they brought me the world. I have even been able to meet many other fans from six different continents at JYJ concerts, and just having this feeling of meeting these people….similarly, I feel like I am meeting and experiencing the world! I cannot express how much this means to me. The number one thing on my mental list of goals in life is to travel and experience as many places in the world as I can^^
Anyway, after the breakup of the five and witnessing what JYJ have gone through and accomplished, I can't help but to be biased toward JYJ. I don't hate HoMin, but I don't follow them anymore either. As for JYJ, I cannot go a day without them! I try visit jyj3.net every single day, several times a day! 😀 Thank you for creating this great site, admin! I will be out of town this week (NY again, yay!) and won't have my computer T_T but when I get back, the first thing I'm doing is signing online and checking jyj3.net!

This is a great song and I love MVs which tell a story. Junsu, as usual is great here, but Zhang Liyin as a newbie back then is commendable, considering she is Chinese, her Korean is very good here. They both appear in Part 2 of the MV (you’ll see a very young and cute Junsu!), so enjoy!

Mommy-hen, trust me, you don’t want to know!!! I’m actually following a 15 year metaphysical plan where you cut out all red meat over the first 5 years, chicken & seafood over the next 5 years & then all dairy in the last 5 years. I’m only in the 4th of my first 5 year part though, so I still eat chicken. I haven’t had much if any seafood for as long as I’ve lived in the mountains, but lately I’m finding my body is craving it, so those seafood pasta dishes you mentioned made my mouth water, even as my guilt kicked in!!! LOL
Sammie, if you are talking about the butterfly kiss….turn your hand face up, fingers together, bring the hand up to your mouth, plant a kiss on it, and then blow the kiss in the direction of the one to receive it. Real simple and quite effective. 🙂 The person you direct it to doesn’t even have to know it’s coming their way. So, if there is a secret crush….. 🙂
That’s okay. No problem. Just so you know, I appreciate my pasta a number of different ways. It’s one of my dietary weaknesses. 🙂 My favorite red sauce would have olives and mushrooms in it! I like meat sauces too, but I really love the flavor of oregano, olive oil, and mushrooms. Plenty of grated romano or parmesan cheese on top. Don’t get me started on eggplant parmesan, even though it’s not a pasta dish, it’s on of my fave Italian ones. Ok, I’ll stop now. It’s not that I’m a great cook or anything, I just know what I like. Yum Yum. 🙂

We love pasta here at the H.F.C. (that’s Heavily Fortified Compound) and have it at least once a week. We make a light Alfredo sauce (that means watered down with chicken broth and wine) with leftover diced roast chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh sauteed mushrooms and fresh spinach that is to die for. Viva la Pasta!

I know, my doctor keeps mentioning that fact every time I go in for my physical. She swears by it. I have seen the info, and I don’t dispute it, but somehow, I don’t think an OVERLOAD of pasta is part of the plan. 🙂 The only thing I’m extremely slow to get on the bandwagon with is whole wheat pasta. That stuff tastes just like cardboard! I do like the vegetable pasta though. Anyway, I guess this is a random topic we will have to have an entire posting on. 🙂

I found them on YT, and I contacted the person who posted, and she said that the remixes are on the physical CD, so I am posting them here. I like them a lot, hopefully some of you can get the CD:
I did get the cd and love it. Unlike others, I’m not anal about the lack of deep lyrics. The next English language album will improve, and the one after that, and so on………. 🙂
I don’t know about anyone else but I loved all the songs from the beginning, and yes, the men are still searching for their own voice and originality in the music field, and I love the fact that they had the courage to work on such an album. These men have vision. Music is always about experiencing new things and growing as individual and as an artist, it’s a ever changing process like life itself. So, we need to stick around and see what’s next in the JYJkingdom.

I think I’ll have to find something different to use besides an egg. 🙂 I’m still going to be at work on my birthday. A co-worker is treating me to lunch. Since it’s not on a Friday, I’m not going to use a vacation day. Also, one of my other co-workers has a BD in July as well, and another group are treating us to lunch one day the week following.
I’ve got three more weddings to go this summer. One at least is in Chicago, and a cousin wants me to come down to GA, to her 60th BD bash! Since I took two weeks off for my June vacation including the cruise…I’m going to parcel out the remainding VDs on a real need basis.
My BIG BD treat to myself will be a spa day. This won’t happen until the last weekend of the month, due to a scheduling issue with one of the practitioners. I did one last year for the big 60. I decided I loved the experience so much this will become my BD gift to myself every year. If anyone has ever done one, they know what a fantastic feeling it is. You do everything from head to feet! Facial, body scrub, massage, lunch, mani/pedi. The best way I can describe it…if I get my muscles relaxed any more after they work them, I will need to be taken out in a wheelchair, I’ll be so relaxed! It’s the best feeling in the world!

I really find that endearing too. It would be natural in a way for these two to develop a rivalry of sorts. Junsu being one of the more competitive people on the planet and very ambitious, it would make sense. But it’s not the case. They are genuinely close, devoted even and they truly do admire each other’s amazing abilities. I love that they work together. Each brings so much to the other’s art when they are singing together. Altogether, the 3 of them really are one of the world’s great collaborating teams.
I really don’t get the fans who love only one member & bash the other two. I mean, if the guys themselves were rivals in any way, maybe – but they so obviously love & respect one another, how can fans not love, or at least respect all three of them?? I so agree. I can’t understand it at all, but then I really love all three for their own special talents and personalities. I’m SO glad these three are together. The farther away from The Five that we get, the more I don’t miss them, which is odd because I really was a fan of their music and their sound, but I’m just really really glad it’s just The Three now.

True words you have written. It’s one of the reasons that listening to their songs is so fascinating for me. I love to hear the placement of each member’s part and I think you’re exactly right, the writer chooses the place in the song where each member’s voice will be shown to best advantage. Each writer in effect is making himself responsible for and to the other two artists in the group he is writing for, JYJ. It’s really quite extraordinary, the seamlessness with which they work together. We have seen, in Pop music history many many examples of it being other than this: the fighting and contentiousness of groups like Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles, Sam & Dave, etc etc., the jealousy and pettiness. But to watch these three actively supporting each other and admiring each other’s efforts is a wonderful experience, I think it is part of their aura and mystique.
The example that readily comes to mind for me is “Pierrot” which Jae wrote and which was obviously a gut-wrenchingly personal song for him. (the lyrics were devastating to read, I’m sure all would agree.) Jae had–who else?–Junsu start out the song. His leads don’t even start until the 2nd verse. This sort of decision-making as a writer-producer speaks volumes to me about Jae’s future as a writer and an artist. This man is NOT what he seems. He is NOT just a pretty face, nor has he ever been. He’s been watching EVERYTHING, he’s been learning from everyone, he’s been waiting. And now it’s his time. He’s ready.

Exactly! It’s the same way with Fallen Leaves…who leads out…Jae. Nine…Yoochun. Each one takes a lead in a song written by one of the others and lets that member’s voice set the tone for the song. Even when I listen to Song Without a Name…Yoochun’s rap is soft and fluid, but at the same time strong…then you have the ‘over’ voices of Junsu and Jaejoong, those haunting tones, and WOW! All three voices make that song stand out so much more. The fact that it was the last song in that group to be presented…only heightened the interest. And for sure, it did not disappoint!
I agree with your assessment about Jae. But the combined strengths of all the guys is what is going to make JYJ a force to be reckoned with. Once they improve on their composition skills, I imagine we are going to be looking at some of the most awesome songs to come down the pike in a long time……Given that they will now have their own recording studio in which to work, not having to be concerned with studio time, moving at their own pace. I get the shivers wondering what is going to come out of that studio!
Yes, about all the groups you mentioned, and many others. Egos get in the way, and boom! The dissension causes all kinds of havoc. But I just don’t see that happening here. Going through so much together, has to make them only stronger in sticking together. But hey, that’s a good thing…as Martha would say. 🙂

I don’t think if one say “I don’t like” it’s equivalent to hating. Just like the release of Ayyy Girl, most of the JYJ fans didn’t like it, but they still love JYJ. Yesterday there was a thread about an sm girl group comeback which most of the girls here like but they unanimously don’t like the comeback tract. But yes, I understand your concern, maybe we’re just too sensitive about mentioning homin’s name here, but it can’t really be avoided that we can talk about them because they’re in the same industry with JYJ.
Superstar was not their best song, I think “I don’t know” was better. It’s like with JYJ too, their title song “Ayy Girl” was just ok for me, I like their second tract “Empty” much better too.

Hello everyone~!!
I am from the USA (Ohio, anyone?), and a friend introduced me to TVXQ in 2007. Since then, I followed TVXQ5 until it became quite clear that they were not going to remain together as a group. At that point, I became an absolutely avid JYJ fan. 😀 I have been fortunate enough to see them perform live in the U.S. a few times, and for that I am truly very thankful. As for the members… I absolutely love all three of JYJ! ❤ It is really hard for me to choose one bias, though I suppose I do tend to drift more toward Jaejoong and Junsu^^ But I still really love Yoochun too!
What had originally drawn me to TVXQ in the first place was their amazing vocal skills. In my opinion, they seriously were better than anyone's I had ever heard. They had very unique voices as individuals (especially I thought Junsu and Jaejoong), and they harmonized together perfectly. And, of course, the fact that they are just absolutely adorable hooked me onto them too XD Not only that, but being an only English-speaking fan, I really wanted to understand their lyrics more. I taught myself Hangul in high school, and when I started college, I began using Rosetta Stone for the Korean language. Just last year, I also studied Japanese at my university. Though I am not fluent in either of the two languages, I still know much more than I ever thought I would. Along with learning the languages, I have become truly intruiged by both Korean and Japanese culture, and I would love to be able to visit both someday. I really credit TVXQ and JYJ for allowing me to recognize my true love of travel. Not having the chance to travel before, I have been able to go to both LA and NYC (and Newark) to see them. These cities are in my country, but it is still a start, and I really hope to travel the world someday. I never knew how much I loved travel until I did for the first time to see TVXQ at the Hollywood Bowl. Being a fan of theirs really opened up my eyes to several Asian cultures and languages, and I honestly feel like they brought me the world. I have even been able to meet many other fans from six different continents at JYJ concerts, and just having this feeling of meeting these people….similarly, I feel like I am meeting and experiencing the world! I cannot express how much this means to me. The number one thing on my mental list of goals in life is to travel and experience as many places in the world as I can^^
Anyway, after the breakup of the five and witnessing what JYJ have gone through and accomplished, I can't help but to be biased toward JYJ. I don't hate HoMin, but I don't follow them anymore either. As for JYJ, I cannot go a day without them! I try visit jyj3.net every single day, several times a day! 😀 Thank you for creating this great site, admin! I will be out of town this week (NY again, yay!) and won't have my computer T_T but when I get back, the first thing I'm doing is signing online and checking jyj3.net!

Mommy-hen, trust me, you don’t want to know!!! I’m actually following a 15 year metaphysical plan where you cut out all red meat over the first 5 years, chicken & seafood over the next 5 years & then all dairy in the last 5 years. I’m only in the 4th of my first 5 year part though, so I still eat chicken. I haven’t had much if any seafood for as long as I’ve lived in the mountains, but lately I’m finding my body is craving it, so those seafood pasta dishes you mentioned made my mouth water, even as my guilt kicked in!!! LOL

That’s okay. No problem. Just so you know, I appreciate my pasta a number of different ways. It’s one of my dietary weaknesses. 🙂 My favorite red sauce would have olives and mushrooms in it! I like meat sauces too, but I really love the flavor of oregano, olive oil, and mushrooms. Plenty of grated romano or parmesan cheese on top. Don’t get me started on eggplant parmesan, even though it’s not a pasta dish, it’s on of my fave Italian ones. Ok, I’ll stop now. It’s not that I’m a great cook or anything, I just know what I like. Yum Yum. 🙂

We love pasta here at the H.F.C. (that’s Heavily Fortified Compound) and have it at least once a week. We make a light Alfredo sauce (that means watered down with chicken broth and wine) with leftover diced roast chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, fresh sauteed mushrooms and fresh spinach that is to die for. Viva la Pasta!

I think I’ll have to find something different to use besides an egg. 🙂 I’m still going to be at work on my birthday. A co-worker is treating me to lunch. Since it’s not on a Friday, I’m not going to use a vacation day. Also, one of my other co-workers has a BD in July as well, and another group are treating us to lunch one day the week following.
I’ve got three more weddings to go this summer. One at least is in Chicago, and a cousin wants me to come down to GA, to her 60th BD bash! Since I took two weeks off for my June vacation including the cruise…I’m going to parcel out the remainding VDs on a real need basis.
My BIG BD treat to myself will be a spa day. This won’t happen until the last weekend of the month, due to a scheduling issue with one of the practitioners. I did one last year for the big 60. I decided I loved the experience so much this will become my BD gift to myself every year. If anyone has ever done one, they know what a fantastic feeling it is. You do everything from head to feet! Facial, body scrub, massage, lunch, mani/pedi. The best way I can describe it…if I get my muscles relaxed any more after they work them, I will need to be taken out in a wheelchair, I’ll be so relaxed! It’s the best feeling in the world!
