Report for the Donation for the Aid for the Victims of the Earthquakes of Eastern Japan
August 25, 2011
ZAK Corporation
We are reporting on the donation of the proceeds from the charity event.
It has been decided that the proceeds from the JYJ charity concert which took place on June 7, 2011 will be donated in the form of 1000 NukAlert, a radiation detector, to the city of Souma in Tachiya Shigeru Kiyoshi Fukushima Prefecture. This was at the emergency request from the mayor of Souma to the Japan-Korea Economics office of the Foreign Affairs Bureau and to ZAK and as a result of consultation with C-JeS.
The city of Souma plan to distribute them to the children and students of its elementary and middle schools and also little children of the preschools in Tamano district in order to prepare for the possibility of the nuclear plant of Fukushima prefecture again having a hydrogen explosion. Among these, 500 has been handed to the government office of the city of Souma on August 12.
The remaining 500 will be distributed to the children of preschools and daycares of the city of Souma. It is planned that on August 31, the representative of the preschools and daycares of the city of Souma will come to Tokyo to be handed over the nuclear detectors.

Woah!!
I am a bit confuse, i thought proceeds usually will be donated in cash? anyway as long as they release the info, it will shut those people bashing JYJ up i guess.
it seems like consultation and b/c of a request…the mayor wanted to receive it this way.
I think by using the donated funds to purchase specific equipment related to the type of disaster is a good move on the part of JYJ. There will be records of the cost of the purchased equipment; the equipment will be installed and visible to the public. This way the public knows exactly how much money was spent; what the money was used for and that it was spent for the benefit of the community that was impacted by the disaster. This will STOP anyone from saying “Well we really don’t know what happend to the money that was donated at that JYJ charity concert…..” By handling the donations in this way it vitually elimnates the possiblity of the JYJ “haters” trying to spread negative propaganda about the charity event.
So I say …Kudos!!… to JYJ, CJES and to your public relations group PRAIN. Everyday you make us proud to be called JYJ fans.
Hi @justSaying, most charity-event prefer donations in term of goods or foods, as this is consider international donations funds under subtitle disaster relief project. I am happy to know that jyj did this, There are transparency involve, smart decision. And I m proud jyj involves with red ribbon as I m involved with pink ribbon project. Jyj family let’s make this world a better place to live….
i am glad that they took the time to decide on how they wanted the money to be used. Donating radiation dectectors is a great idea because there is a need for them. Glad that they listened to what was missing in the post-crisis.
Thanx God! Finally there’s confirmation about the donation…
Okay to the haters and antis who doubts where the money went.. eat this!!
They carefully thought where the money is highly needed.. and not just donate to just some random agency for publicity and returned favors..
Let’s tip this!
If anyone can send this news as gift to Max baby… and whoever from Avex that has the guts to file a lawsuit to get “what should had been earned” please do so.. i want them to at least have a taste of conscience…if they have even just a bit..
My dear ninja sister, in order for this news to effect a conscience, one must have one. I don’t think they even have as you say, “a taste’ of conscience. My guess is, this information will make the news. If I was the Sumo Wrestling Org. that is being sued by AVEX, I would be waving this in their faces, and DARE them to continue with the lawsuit.
But on the good side, YES! this how it works. You do something good for others and the Universe repays in kind. That’s why the guys are as successful as they are, because along with their talents and brains, they use their hearts. This is not going unrewarded. So, all the naysayers out there can just eat it as far as I’m concerned. And taking the time to decide where the most need is, is how it is done in the world of philanthropy. You allocate your resources where they will do the most good.
@BAF
Mommy!!
“You allocate your resources where they will do the most good.”
there you will find out who has wisdom.. that’s why we love JYJ *wink*
People perish due to lack of wisdom.. I hope Max had learned that earlier..
i feel like want to print out the new and paste it in mr.Max forehead. ok zan when did u get this rude
Finally news! ^_^
These radiation detectors were requested by the mayor of that city, so I´m happy that JYJ can help to provide them!
what u say ANTI ???
this why am proud n happy being their fans
and am glad they work with professional n trusted people
JYJ3! well done….
For sure those antis are expecting a press conference, all media focused, news coverage here and there while JYJ are handing the donations then be posted in Allkpop, their favorite site. It might be that JYJ doesn’t want any massive media coverage for this as the funds were from the most controversial charity concert and it would always be made controversial by the opposing party. They just let Cjes and ZAK look for the most appropriate project, and this is a good thing that they donated in kind because it can’t be avoided that cash could be easily diverted, even in Red Cross, there’s such rumor of cash diversion. I think the next thing thing Avex/Max will do is ask how much the donations cost and make another controversy again!
“I think the next thing thing Avex/Max will do is ask how much the donations cost and make another controversy again!”
Kris, you would think at some time, they would learn to “Let it Go”, but you may have a point. Since they are not the brightest bulbs in the box, this is not out of the realm of possibility.
@BAF….. [they would learn to “Let it Go”]
For Avex to “let it go” is one on my wishlist for JYJ …hope it would happen the soonest !
I’m keeping with one of my mantras….good things come to those who wait. 😉
“I think the next thing thing Avex/Max will do is ask how much the donations cost and make another controversy again!”
Well, it’s easily covered, they just need to check the price tag. 😀 The best price you can find for the NukAlert is on Amazon, it costs $174. So it’s $174000 if you count only this cheapest version. 😀 I think it’s a fairly good donation. 😀
@vik720
“So it’s $174000 if you count only this cheapest version. 😀 I think it’s a fairly good donation.”
Yes, you’re right, with the cheapest version, it’s fairly good enough, but I think Japan/Zak will not settle for the cheapest version, so let’s say, they’ll buy the middle_range version, so it will cost more or less 300k, that’s more than good enough. I remember when LSM donated 100k USD to Korean Ministry of Culture, it was a well celebrated news!
soooo AVEX…. whatcha going to do NOW?!
try and take the money (that you’re “apparently owed”), therefore stealing from your own countrymen and THEIR CHILDREN in the process; OR~~ “let it go~”?
Good News!
Hope this fact will be disseminated asap in various countries.
Just as reference, official English names of those mentioned above in JPN are:
-Mr. Hidekiyo Tachiya, mayor of Soma City
-Japan-Korea Economic Coordination Division, Asian and Oceanian Affairs Bureau, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan
Not a big deal, but “Ministry” sounds like more influential ^^!
Always appreciate your great contribution!
OMG! I have son who is in pre-school too and reading of how JYJ’s donation will go directly to help protect small children who really are in need of this kind of equipment gave me goosebumps! This is how charity should be done, the big companies should take a leaf out of JYJ’s book. This is awesome!
1000 radiation detectors? SO COOL!
*Tears* I’m proud.. proud of the fans, more proud at my boys, and there team.. What a beautiful way to help people.. *tears*
🙂
Haters just got shut DOWN!
^-^ JYJ I’m proud.
Anyone know how much a radiation detectors cost and how it works?
I can’t help but wonders..
you can fnd from web and you will find so many prices. From $16 till $12XX.
Japan now try to cut down the Nux Alert prices by using other materials ( maintain quality) so citizen of Japan can affort it. (the prices is by dollar)
Yep.
there was a rumor said donation from JYJ Charity event haven’t go to Japan, and i read it from my country newspaper, haha…. but i didn’t believe it ( rumor is rumor don’t take it serius but fot haters they just can’t have some logical or open mind and always try to seperate rumor , shame…. )
what 16 dollar that is not expensive ,so for 1000 it cost 16000 so what are theu going to do with hte rest of the money?
i hope soon we will here that to
It’s “From $16 till $12XX like 1200.” If they purchased for example good ones for 500$ then 500×1000= 500.000 $ And it makes sense to buy good ones for Kiyoshi Fukushima Prefecture, because the possibility of danger there is higher
haha, girl if just cost $16 the mayor won’t required for these. ( the prices i mention is just a list, there are so many brand, each brand with diffrent prices, i didn’t said it only cost $16)
By the way, they didn’t said the donation only for Nux Alert, maybe there are others way for the donation go to Japan, they just need time for consultation so the donation go to the right place.
i pround of them, they really try hard and pay attention for what they going to do.
Also I think they will bay the bigger ones, because article mentioned elementary and middle schools – they will monitor big plots of area (it’s not small personal detectors)
http://www.nukalert.com/
http://www.nukalert.jp/
From reading a couple sites it runs from 100-300 bucks USD.
times that by a thousand and you have at most 300k USD.
I found this:
http://www.nukalert.jp/index.html#order
http://www.nukalert.com/
The price of this pocket radiation detector is ¥19.800 (260$).
Here you go: http://nukalert.com/ The cheapest is $174.
For those wondering how much the detectors might have cost, it looks like “NukAlert” is a personal radiation detector that can be used as a keychain and each unit costs about 155 USD. (Here’s a link http://shop.survivetomorrowsupply.com/NukAlert-nukalert.htm) So the donation would have been around 155,000 USD and more, which is a lot of money. JYJ donated about 600,000 USD to Japan during the earthquake crisis from their own pockets. Do you guys really think they will keep part of the proceeds for themselves after promising to donate?
Correction
Each unit sells for 19,800 yen in Japan. (http://www.nukalert.jp/) I guess things are always more expensive when they get imported. So the total is about 258,000 USD.
Thakyou for information..^____^ I really like the way they donation..show they truelly care ..not just only “look good” like other some companies ued to do !!!
thank you for explaining proud of jyj i am sure japanese fans will be really pleased
so are we i fans
thanks for the research! I’m so proud of JYJ, they are the best!!! *air kisses* xD
I like the way JYJ, ZAK and CjES handled this charity by providing radiation detectors instead of cash and how they don’t need to ‘broadcast’ their charity activities, despite many negative rumors spread by big guy’s media machine (fyi, zak is not a new or ‘loser’/small/etc company in its fields).
Just a small note: I see that JYJ charity activities tend to focus on children and youths. And individually, they consistently tend to focus on each field for children and youths, like Junsu & his fans like to work on resident/building issues, Jaejoong & his fans like to work on health and education issues while Yoochun & his fans like to work on case-by-case issues (like operation for a girl/boy each time). And they’ve ‘hidden’/’guarded’ their contributions well from media & even general and/or quite ‘hardcore’ fans (cuz I remember reading a small sector of fans reported on this charity activities ‘for inner circulation among fan friends only’ so majority of fans didn’t believe JYJ’s charity history – until some months ago when a report did come out to report a part of JYJ’s past charity activities).
Good job, huh?
JYJ=Class act
A++++++ good say
Hahaha
AVEX: OWNED
JYJ: WINS
Those are my wise babies ♥♥♥ I love them sooo much ♥ They alway make me proud!
To those people who claimed profit and bullshiting! Please stop now! This is charity for your own country!
Proud to see our boys!
This JYJ deserves our love!!!! they do have good hearts!!!!!
They consciously determined how they could best apply the funds and what better way to help than 1) to aid children and 2) to provide devices that can help in early detection of radiation to prevent exposure. Judging from the request, this project seemed like it needed special attention/help and I love how this falls right in line with JYJ’s other charitable acts helping children. ♥ ♥ ♥
I am so happy now ^^ haters are gonna hate
But I feel so sad and disappointed to some japan OT5 fans. Because of them, JYJ so much more difficult to return back to Japan stage . You know what happen to a- nation today, Avex so good to tv2q today. Avex let them sing the last (encore stage)which ayumi hamasaki always sings the last one . I think the purpose of Avex is want to make JYJ jealous lol
o.O
i think JYJ have bigger problems on their mind tbh than who gets the last stage on A-nation.
They can give it to the tweety bird for all i care its the being blocked from venues part that depresses me 😦
@Juno…lol tweety bird..hahaha
lmao I love your words.
Lmao!!!! @tweetybird
but yes what u say is true
hehe ^^
Let it go! 😀
Let 2VXQ have all the A-nation for them… Let those fake OT5 fans enjoy it…
The life is too short and we shouldn´t waste our time in meaningless things…
Ah, Let´s focus only in JYJ!
@Xiao juan
No offense, but that scenario sounds like throwing a dog a bone. Kind of like a consolation prize. They can have it, a-nation is not the beginning and end-all of life. JYJ has bigger things to look forward to in life than a-nation.
@BAF
I totally agree. In as much as JYJ would love to tour Japan again, and sing on stage for their Family of Fans in Japan someday, but since this is not yet possible now, for the meantime, JYJ have set their sights for other valuable, humanitarian endeavors by accepting challenging roles of ambassadorships in different worthy causes.
Not bad, right?
Jealousy? I doubt. JYJ doesn’t have that virus in their bones.
Precisely. They are too busy engaging in life, with each other, and their careers to be jealous of what others are doing. The guys are out of that wasteland and are moving forward, not backwards. The time is going to come when those who are blocking them will no longer be able to do that. So, picture this. As brightly as JYJ is shining now, imagine how bright their light will be when the obstacles are removed.
My suggestion to ALL of those doing the blocking – put on some high intensity Ray-Bans because you will need them!
@xiao juan
Hi don’t feel sad. Let them have it. Let’s be generous. There’s so much space in this world, JYJ will have their own stage at the right time. Let go of sadness….Let’s be hopeful instead, and shower our dear JYJ with love,love,love….love conquers all, right? HUGS to you 🙂
yes. agreed. they are awesome people doing awesome things and no one can hold them down for much longer. good still works in this world and they are doing a ton of good. their time is coming!
I feel very proud of my generous golden hearted JYJ boys.
