Kpoptown emailed me yesterday saying that they just shipped my order. Does it mean I can receive it next week in US?
@Ann, I received my “your order has been shipped” email from kpoptown the last week of Sep. I have not received my order yet, and I live in Hawaii so in theory should get it sooner than mainland US. I took the standard shipping option, whatever method that is. This is the biggest exercise in patience I’ve had to do in a loooong time LOL! SO yeah, if you’re mainland US, it might take 2 weeks. As a rule of thumb, international shipping does tend to take about there, sometimes way longer (I know the hard way, since all my family lives outside the US etc)
I was emailed on September 29 that my order was shipped, and it just arrived today, although without the poster, since the poster ships seperately. I live in California for reference ^^;
I got an email too last week on thursday…but my cd still hasn’t gotten here :(…i live in Atlanta by the way….I hope it gets here soon. I wonder how much longer it takes for the poster to arrive too!!

The very low sales on Hanteo are due to the massive boycott of KYHD by k-cassies in January. Gaon numbers are much higher because of Bigeast (=sales in Japan).

They’ve easily sold over half of what SJ has sold in a year in a week if you count in sales on Gaon and the CDs that haven’t been shipped out yet from online retailers.
Their sales can’t be compared at this point, JYJ’s album has only been out a week and no matter what they sell SM will not allow them to win at GDA,
I’m afraid even if the boys selling surpass SJ,
the GDA won’t invited them to the ceremony nor SM will let JYJ ever on competition with its idol groups,
remember GDA is SM’s territory.
My only hope is maybe the Mnet MAMA or Melon Awards, I so hope our boys will be invited to this year’s Mnet MAMA and rock the Mnet stage with glory.

Yes, I would like them to appear on stage for the sake of all those who wish this to happen. More so, because they deserve to, but for me, as long as they continue being the success they are without receiving the just honors, I will be content. In the long run, JYJ becoming prosperous, making their mark in the recording industry, and all the other endeavors they engage in, will have a longer lasting impact than appearing on a TV program.
I understand how meaningful this is for a big segment of this fan group, but please don’t lose sight of the long term. It is way more important for JYJ to here after all the others have faded away. If they make it to one of the stages fine, if they don’t fine. It will simply mean those who are blocking them will one day pay a price for doing so.
BUT IN THE END IT WILL BE JYJ. 😉 PEACE

To have an idea, what’s the average when it comes to album sales in Korea? Not necessarily the big sellers like SNSD, SJ or TVXQ (I know those, more or less), but the usual numbers for other groups?

The meaning behind being a ‘Cassiopeia’ right now is ambiguous. Some may define themselves as a DB5K, others purely a JYJ fan, and some others more, a Homin fan. Nevertheless, if one looks at it in this way: Jaejoong himself has stated more than once that they are ‘JYJ from TVXQ’. Within that sense, we are Cassiopea. But because of the split, Cassiopeia was also divided into three.
To be safe, let’s just not overgeneralize who Cassies support. Let the people who consider themselves a Cassiopeia state so themselves. With that said, what does it really matter? Like I’ve stated previously, as long as they support our boys sincerely and not wish them any harm, then we are united in that front. ^^

at first, I really hope that this album can break Mirotic album record, but since this album is a special album produced by JYJ for the fans, I’m not bothered about sales. The important thing is JYJ and their fans enjoy the songs produced
because we know our boys are the best even if they do not get a chance to compete in any awards. if they did not win any awards does not mean their album is that bad. quality is always win over quantity

$3,000,000 + $1,766,300 = $4,766,300
OR
150,000 copies – 88,315 copies = 61,685 copies that Hanteo does not count
61,685 copies x $20 = $1,233,700
$1,766,300 + $1,233,700 = $3,000,000
Because the sales are usually higher than what is charted on Hanteo, then JYJ has sold 238,315 copies in less then 2 weeks! But I’ll wait for Gaon to update. Plus they have received more orders online for the Red, Blue and Brown versions and there are many people who have yet to receive their copy.

Hanteo number is already in Gaon. So you don’t add Gaon and Hanteo together. You just need to add Gaon and Oricon. The sales so far is probably only 150k because I think that was the first batch. The second batch is the Black In Heaven version. So I don’t think they got up to 200k-250k yet. Black In Heaven will be out in Japan on October 11.
Scratched what I said about Gaon. It’s now confusing me since the list for last week is out but In Heaven is nowhere on its’ chart. So what the heck happened to it? Sigh.

I don’t know neither. But I’m happy that the boys are making the music that they like and they’re getting a bigger share from what we paid.
Yes, those are hit songs. And there is highlight on how big is the song and those are calculated for the first 4 weeks. Get Out and In Heaven are mediocre hits, but taking in consideration on no promotion, and songs coming from JYJ, who’s new in the digital game. It’s pretty good.
Yes, everything has to be put into context. If all things were equal, those representative numbers would look a lot different. Which again goes to show ‘WHY’ SME is trying so hard to derail JYJ by any means necessary. They simply are afraid of the competition, and the others are going along for the same reason. But the beauty part? The companies are getting their artists’ revenue. JYJ, an artist group, is getting their revenue, minus expenses. And those expenses ARE NOT going toward the operations of new trainees. Life is good. 🙂

The sales is better then beginning, so that is definitely a plus.
But I just wish it was a lot more. Considering that it add up all 4 version, selling around 80k is not a lot when other group 1 version sells much more then that on hanteo.
But then thinking that there is no promotion, …..*ah I don’t know.
There aren’t 4 versions of the album….there’s is just one. There are 4 different colors but they all count as only 1 version. And they’ve only sold 80k on HANTEO….this chart doesn’t count all of the sales…just sales from certain stores. There are alot of sales that have not been counted on this chart, so I’m sure that their sales are well over 100k. And they can’t sell more than 80k of one color because they only made about 50k of each color.
oh yeah….don’t forget their album has only been out for about a week…give it time.

It’s pretty impressive for me that they managed to sell 88k in one week with no promotions at all, tbh. If they can reach 100k in Hanteo by the end of the month with no promotions, I’d consider it an accomplishment.

I wish people would stop adding the words “with no promotions” to all of JYJ’s achievements. Seriously, it just sounds like you’re degrading JYJ’s achievements. JYJ is doing extremely well, and selling better than a lot of groups so they don’t need fans to add the words “with no promotions” behind every sentence to make it seem as if this is the best they can do “considering there are no promotions”. The internet is a lot more powerful than performing on a music show.
