[INTERVIEW] 111006 Compilation of Kanghee’s Words on Jaejoong. Born With Talent, Untainted by Evil, Aegyo King
Note: Choi Kanghee, the veteran lead actress for Protect the Boss, did a series of interviews. We excerpt her words on Jaejoong. Previously a full translation of one of these interviews was also posted, see here.
The King of Aegyo
“As for aegyo (T/N: laying on of cute charms), Kim Jaejoong is tops. He leans as if he is clothes hanging from the line to dry, and he is also good at social network services, he is affectionate with them.”
“Ji Sung is of a certain age so he cannot do the aegyo but there is aegyo that sips out. He does things like “making your knee fall” from behind and runs away. I think on our set, the men were cuter. Of course, more than Ji Sung, Jaejoong is the king of aegyo. Jihye also does not have aegyo. She watches mixed martial arts and has even been addicted to video games once.”
“A few days ago, while drinking, I had a small fall and scraped my hands. Ji Sung sent a considerate text: “How is your hand?” But Jaejoong sent me a text that read: ‘From nuna’s hands blood kept comingㅠ’. Protect the Boss Team had an extremely high degree of closeness between the actors. When you do the acting for a long time you often get the feeling that you are working facing a wall. But in the drama, the four leads I feel went into each others’ hearts very well.”
[INTERVIEW] Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu Talk About Themselves as Actors
JYJ Jaejoong, Yoochun, Junsu. Elvis Was An Actor At Least…
The members of the group JYJ are gaining the title of actors.
Kim Junsu (24) began by appearing at the beginning of last year in the musical Mozart!. Park Yoochun (25) and Kim Jaejoong (25) have one after the other shown good acting. They are in the middle of becoming recognized in their abilities as actors.
Recently, Kim Jaejoong received favorable reviews for his portrayal of the 3rd generation chaebol Cha Muwon, who was frigid and serious but had a warm heart. He scratched his head, saying: “I was the last one among he members to act. Prior to I acted Junsu and Yoochun had shown good acting in musicals and dramas so I felt much pressure.”
He also had much fear. He is not satisfied in himself, even though there are more positive reviews than negative ones for his first acting: “I think I started the drama when my mindset was not groomed to be that of an actor. I think I can show a more improved self in my next project.”
However, he did smile: “Prior to starting the drama, I did have the wish that at the very least I did not want to seem like a singer among the other actors. Fortunately, I think the drama came out well, and so I feel happy.” Read More →
