Recently on an online community, Kim Jaejoong wearing the king’s dress has been revealed. This is not an actual photograph but rather one that was photoshopped, with the original image being that of Song Joongki who is Kim Jaejoong’s close friend.
Currently Song Joongki is appearing as the young version of Sejong Daewang (T/N: translated literally, Sejong the Great King) in the SBS TV drama Tree with Deep Roots. Song Joongki who shows off a milky skin is receiving a favorable response with solid acting ability.
The photo that was revealed this time around boasts a fineness that makes it difficult to believe that it is not real. Further, Kim Jaejoong’s face and the king’s dress suit each other well. Kim Jaejoong whose deep eyes are fixed on an unknown location is receiving a great praise from the netizens.

I don’t know… I’m kind of torn. As much as I L-O-V-E historical drama, I kind of have my heart set on Jaejoong growing his hair a bit (OK, a lot) and playing a bad boy… We’ve seen him in a suit, all business-y. Now I really want to see Naughty, Naughty BadBoy Jae.

Oh, dear. lolol Chalk it up to “lilibaiyu spacing out and screwing up her account” – that’s the best and most concise explanation. The Insanity all started this afternoon when, LIKE AN IDIOT, I decided to clean out my browser. Siiiiigh. What’s that old saying? “No Good Deed Goes Unpunished.” So I lost everything and then inadvertently re-signed in with my lilibaiyu address which was not my old original email address, thus the assigning of the brand new monster. I’ll wait a few days and see if it grows on me. Then maybe I’ll change it to a different pic. I was getting kind of tired of “the old me” anyway…

Oh, I do too. If for no other reason than, well as Sally_b puts it so well…. Sanguek Hair!! Oh, yeah. [I’m right in the middle of watching “The Princess’ Man” right now and all I’m sayin’ is that you ladies have not LIVED until you’ve seen Park Shi Hoo with Sanguek Hair. He’s epic. No, I mean seriously EPIC.]
But then again……. ooowwwhhh… I’m thinking now of Jaejoong in a gritty contemporary drama (think City Hunter but with more sex) playing a really really bad dude. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm… compelling. Well, there’s nothing for it–he’s just going to have to do both.

Oh, I’m right there with you. By far my favorite dramas of all time are Sangueks. I am TOTALLY fascinated with Korean history and can’t get enough of them. And the producers always manage to liberally seed each drama with a wide assortment of beautiful men. I never feel like I’m wasting my time watching them. I frequently do watching rom-coms. (I just bombed out on “Heartstrings”, “Personal Choice” and “My Princess” recently. So it happens regularly.)
With PTB, I’ll happily watch till the end because of Jaejoong and Ji Sung (whom I’ve always loved) But if it wasn’t for Jae, I probably would have skipped it.

Some of my faves are “Chuno”, “Jumong”, ” The King And I”, “Kingdom Of The Winds”, Iljimae”, “The Return Of Iljimae”, “Ja Myung Go”, “Queen Seon Duk”, “Dong Yi”, “Damo”, “Kim Soo Ro”, “Warrior Baek Dong Soo”, “Strongest Chill Woo”, there’s more but that’s a LOT. lol I don’t want anyone thinking I’m a shut-in, just sitting around watching K-dramas all day. (I am, but I don’t want anyone to know……….. Oops….)

Just to share with you -I took a leave from work for 3 days just to watch Jumong non-stop. The ending was so heartbreaking, when So suh no [Han Hye Jin] left him – i cried buckets of tears – so i ended up filing for another day leave just to sober up myself – hahaha – so addicting 🙂

Yes, I just watched the final episode this morning. SOOO SAD. Frustrating too because these people did not explain things to each other very much! (I mean aside from saying each other’s name over and over and over again.)
I keep meaning to go over to Dramabeans and see if I can get some info on why that is. Lots of one person asking questions and the other person just standing there like a stone not saying anything. To an extremely talkative Westerner, it’s puzzling.
Anyway, this was my fourth or fifth time watching Jumong and I can honestly say I enjoyed it every bit as much this time as the other times. I always come away thinking, “OK, that is the BEST historical drama EVER.” Since my Song Il Guk addiction is now raging at its hottest, I think I’m going to move straight into “Kingdom Of The Winds.” Have you seen that one? It’s not quite as good as Jumong and it’s a lot shorter (big disadvantagre–not nearly enough SIG) but it’s still a Must See.

I’m a Song Il Guk fan too, especially for historical dramas- i took another leave for Kingdom of the Winds and another one for Emperor of the Sea. I usually take my leaves Thu-Fri and Mon so that I’ll have my weekends too. Sometimes i off-set from my extra hours/days work, so my boss take it as a deserving break for me, hehehe…But these dramas all have sad endings, as far as his lovelife is concerned, so i ended up crying rivers of tears. In a way, it allows me to have my catharsis for all my work or personal frustrations [outlet] . I like to watch marathon because i can’t sleep until i get to see the ending. My husband tolerated me at first until i turned insomniac and anemic. He hid all my DVDs for a while because of my Korean drama addiction, and my doctor had to prescribe me sleeping meds – hahaha…
I am a person who prefers confrontation, open expression of feelings [esp] rather than repressing it, seek for solution rather than leaving it merely to chances. I don’t like unfinished businesses So I’m frustrated too when the characters just stare at each other – with all the longing and love, and right justifications to express honestly how each one feels- yet just not saying it – and thus losing one’s chance. GRRRR! so frustrating! But well, it this cultural? hahaha. That’s how immersed we get when we watch these dramas, right ? 🙂

Ahhhh… you’re a woman after my own heart! lol As I’ve shared here before my husband makes me wear headphones because our TV is in the living room, which flows into his office space, aka what used to be a dining room. He’s happy as long as there isn’t constant, loud Korean language drama going on in the background while he’s trying to work. This seemed like a sensible solution to me too, although now I make HIM wear them when he’s watching Grand Prix racing. I wonder what he’ll do when I tell him the Grand Prix is being held in Korea this weekend? lolol

I guess it must be. I still don’t have a definitive word on that. Like I said, the answer may be at Dramabeans if I could ever have the time to go and read through the episodes. Do you find yourself yelling at the TV? I do. 🙂 A popular one for me is, “SAY SOMETHING TO HIM/HER, YOU IDIOT!!!!”

hmm.. maybe i read to much into this, but i think, the king of old time in SK there is must be some who have what jae have, isnt it? i mean, jae have this strong gaze/stare, cold handsome face, an aura where he attracted people (be the center of attention), male or female to keep looking at him, and a strong personality where he seems so powerful to make changes to what he touched. he seems like.. i mean, it seems like you would know or feel when he just came in to the room, u can feel his presence when he just being there n do nothing.. (man, do i make any sense?) but anyway, arent all of that was fit to a persona of a king? and i believe as many great kings in the world SK must be have a king or kings who have those personality. and maybe Jae was a king too in his other life, lol…

I AGREE! Yes, yes, yes. Jae is all of those superlatives. He is one of those rare completely magnetic personalities. He SHOULD be king.
Now all we have to do is bribe the appropriate writer to transform the typically stodgy, chronically misinformed, spoiled beyond imagining adult embryo that is the usual depiction of king into MR SEXY playboy, powerful LEADER king.
