EP5: Something I thought about after remembering the concert
Even though the concert in Spain just ended, he’s talking about the concert that was in Hitachinka seaside park? Everyone might wonder about this…
It is because I remembered a conversation I had with Jaejoong before he left. Things we talked about that proved how much they improved and grew from a year ago… these stories seemed to increase so much recently.
Regarding the ments where the 3 members talked on the 16th, do you remember when Jaejoong said that they didn’t decide or practice what to talk about before the concert?
About this, he said the following. Before, when we were to perform on a stage we were given a script and told what to say. More than singing or dancing, remembering that script was the most difficult.
Now though, we don’t have to prepare anything before hand and can freely speak about whatever we want. Right now they can move forward on their stage with their own creativity and sense. The things that they think of and desire can now become real. Without it being forced on them, with their own will, they can now dye everything around them with their own colors.
And that appeared when they were doing the rehearsals.
During the rehearsals, they kept making small requests and giving out instructions. “For this part please increase the volume” for example… please do this or please make it like that… Also, the karaoke for the background music was all made and created according to what they wanted.
This is what it means to understand and check the music that they themselves created.
They do not only sing and dance to things that are already decided for them.
They now clearly have their own freedom to choose.
Many commented on how much they grew from last year’s concerts in Tokyo Dome. I haven’t seen it myself so I can’t make comparisons but… you understand their “posture” right? Someone who is giving their all.. (T/N: someone who throws the ball in their hand with all their strength)
As long as they possess this attitude, it is impossible to know when their growth will stop. This unknown future, it’s fun to look forward to it.
They said, it doesn’t matter if it’s in small venues; we want to have a national tour in Japan.
I think it will be great if one day that happens.
Because they are JYJ who think about their fans the most, from now on I want these fans who understand JYJ the most and are very important to them to have the best treatment by the company.

I can feel freedom and happiness by reading this. 🙂 Hoping I could experience that freedom myself.
Hayato san, very kind towards JYJ as always. But he’s speaking especifically to japanese fans; isn’t he?
I like so much his words about JYJ being able to talk freely to their fans; to say the words they want and to tease as they feel. Wonderful. 🙂
Yeah, he is kind to JYJ, especially seems to understand JJ the most. I think he first started it like a diary, then more fans drop by to talk to him, so he kinda talks to JYJ fans, not specific Japanese fans. but he is Japanese, he writes in Japanese so it does feel like he talks to Japanese fans. I personally think he is the kind of people who talks based on what they observe. So his experience with JYJ is mostly Japan involved stuff
Hayato-san I think I love you. We know exactly what you mean about the boys growth & freedom to explore & express their own creativity. & not a day goes by when I’m not grateful for their freedom, both of creativity, & more importantly, of self. This blog update of yours is making my heart beat faster with pure happiness & excitement. ^___^ Thank you Hayato-san. *bows*
From all of us JYJ fans… Hountou ni Arigatou Gozaimasu!!!! ^___________^
“Before, when we were to perform on a stage we were given a script and told what to say. More than singing or dancing, remembering that script was the most difficult.
Now though, we don’t have to prepare anything before hand and can freely speak about whatever we want.”
YES. This is what it’s all about. So glad they have this freedom now, and that what we see coming from JYJ is what they want to express, not a script.
i glad that Hayato-san always update his blog about our boys because it really help us to try understand what exactly that our boys thinking
i really happy because from this blog i can felt the freedom that our boys have now, no more any pressure to do something that exactly same with the script, no more a ‘fake’ image that create for them because now our boys can express everything that they want and show us their true self.
‘They said, it doesn’t matter if it’s in small venues; we want to have a national tour in Japan.’
it’s gonna be awesome if that really can happen
I have a feeling that the ball on the Japanese national tour is rolling. Yes, it doesn’t matter if they start on small venues, they are building their artistic career from the bottom up, they will learn about themselves, they will grow, they will make mistakes, they will stay grounded, and so on and so forth. As long as they have a stage to sing and perform on, and as long as they want to be in this business, I will be their cheerleader noona.
@daebaksama
“they will grow, they will make mistakes,”
Yes, they will. I’m glad you mentioned that. Mistakes are inevitable in life, & most growth comes from mistakes. Your most painful, gut-wrenching mistakes & moments are usually what give you your greatest growth. Hopefully those fans who aren’t experienced enough to know that will give the boys space to make their mistakes in, to let them fall, & to let them grow, without expecting them to be perfect, or harshly criticizing them when they fall short.
yes i agree with u guys
everyone always makes some mistake in their life but it doesn’t mean that those mistake as a failure because a mistake can be a the first step for get a great success beside nobody perfect right ?
@daebaksama and @sapphire
“they will grow, they will make mistakes,”
“Hopefully those fans who aren’t experienced enough to know that will give the boys space to make their mistakes…. without expecting them to be perfect”
Yep, exactly. I hope people remember that they no longer have the juggernaut of SM to orchestrate each and every detail of their lives and careers. Personally I’d rather be witness to a few missteps knowing they result from the boys’ sincere desires and efforts. What a small price to pay for the freedom to live their own lives and – as you say – the growth that comes from making mistakes.
@sapphire and@daebaksama
“they will grow, they will make mistakes,”
“Hopefully those fans who aren’t experienced enough to know that will give the boys space to make their mistakes…. without expecting them to be perfect”
though today i am very tire and want be quiet…but read you comment i can’t hold…100000 x agree, hopefull fans understand let the boys grow from their mistates,
It is said – “necessity is the motherhood of invention.” The guys are in the position of re-inventing themselves. Re-inventing who THEY want to be, not some manufactured puppet.
And like all new inventions, the first draft isn’t always perfect. They chose to step away from the path they were being shoved down, to go on a path of their own. That path is getting straighter and straighter by the day. Soon, they will be at the destination they are looking for. I’m just glad that pathway is big enough for all their fans to travel with them. 🙂
Thank you for sharing! It’s nice to hear things like this because it makes me so proud of them and it’s awesome others recognize their true talent to have the freedom to be true artists.
Hayato-san, arigatou gosaimasu.
JYJ is enjoying their freedom and creativity and we are sharing their happiness too.
Well said, Hayato-san!
Looking forward to JYJ’s national tour in Japan…
JYJ fighto!
It’s the huge fans that give jyj strength to go that far. Whenever I think about this, the fans in korea and japan make me moved so much by their strong support for jyj.
“Before, when we were to perform on a stage we were given a script and told what to say. More than singing or dancing, remembering that script was the most difficult.”
Uh, pay attention to this folks. This one part speaks VOLUMES about how little we truly knew about them before the Lawsuit. Even the little moments were scripted. No wonder JYJ feel so free now, they were kept inside a box with all of their honest feelings locked up with no way to release them before.
SO GLAD they got out of SME.
MTE!!!!
But I’m afraid *some* people still won’t believe this, even though it came from Jaejoong.
Well there’s not much we can do about the people who continue to disregard JJ’s words even though they supposedly “love” him. *sighs*
It’s something many of us, particularly JYJ3 family, already knew, but hearing it again, doesn’t really make it any less painful, does it? Knowing that these 3 incredibly special people are now free simply to be themselves is a joy & a relief that I don’t think words will ever be able to fully encapsulate. Jaejoong in particular is almost a 180 degree different person compared to the character sm forced on him.
Exactly, especially on the part about Jaejoong. He really is almost completely different now than he was forced to be in SM. This is why I think people need to let go of what they believed abt the three before the lawsuit and embrace the people they are now b/c at least now we know that they’re showing us more of who they really are compared to before when they were constantly scripted and their true selves silenced.
@sapphie, @bmw81187
🙂
that’s what i was thinking.. fans are really taking in a product of a scripted and well strategized SM method. and though they can be truthful on some parts of it.. it is unavoidable fact that most of what they say and the fanservice they do is “what was told to them to do” how they felt about it didnt matter of the time because they have to do it as part of their job and as part of SM’s marketing plans.. I hope fans who still think otherwise should learn to listen to what the boys has been saying all this time.. and not force to JYJ their personal longings and imaginations..
Fortunately nowadays they are FREE to speak and behave as they want both in the stage and out of it. ¡YES!! 😀
True! They are the lucky (brave) ones and their future is so bright!!!
@shu.. hi dear!
and am glad i got into this fandom at this point of their careers.. i love the honesty and their modesty.. their freedom is one of the things that draws me to them.. i couldn’t imagine my knowledge of the boys being questioned if it was true or just part of a script whenever they stand on stage.. it’s like telling me that i only know them partly at a time when i thought i knew them well.. well i believe there are things the boys holds and still keeps to themselves.. but at least it is now their personal choice .. but most of the time we can see with their dorkiness on stage that they just love to have fun and when they answer questions you can just feel the sincerity and the wisdom beyond their age..
A lot of it would have been just them growing up, finding themselves, learning who they are & what they wanted, believed, finding the road they wanted to travel. Something the act sm forced on them could have made either easier or harder to do. (& I don’t just mean YunJae, but the whole DBSK spectacular.) It’s one of the many questions I’d love to ask them one day if I ever get to meet them… & can remain articulate, sane, & conscious at the same time! Admittedly that’s a big ask… I need to go practice.
Ohh….such wonderful write. Thank you Hayato. Yes, JYJ are now free as a bird. They can fly to wherever they want to go, do whatever they want to do. We could clearly see their creativity now.
“…They do not only sing and dance to things that are already decided for them.
They now clearly have their own freedom to choose….” ==> like this a lot.
I feel so happy with this news, thank you admins, thank you Hayato san, you always take care of JYJ….
I always hope JYJ can achieve all their dreams so on
And we know exactly, JYJ really love us (fans)…rite Oppa ^-^ ?
Something I admire more than JYJ singing ability is their attitude…
When people need to defend their oppas and unnies for being called ‘rude’, not-talented, , etc, I can stand back and watching in amusement. Coz, what should I defend JYJ againts?
Antis? Nah, they’re just another closet fans…forever in denial…
Even back then, when they were still 5 and TVXQ is Asia’s best idol, never they showed ‘unintersted face’, they always show respects 2 their seniors – watch their old interview and look how elders praised them for being polite, how they could change some seniors perception about idols – and what makes it more amazing is the fact that they were the most overworked idol ever existed.
I find it weird when people say: ‘they’re just tired’, ‘they’re human’ when their idols r critisized for showing improper attitude. Hey, I don’t ask them to show happy faces 24/7, but when u’re job requires u to look happy, then be happy! Once, yoochun was sick (his voice was like super hoarse and looked like about 2 faint) in a japanes interview, but did he show any hell-I-am-sick-and-tired-and-so-damn-bored face? No! He smiled, made joke, and a little silent, but never look displeased.
Then again, these men r special, they’re not ordinary humans… I admire how they never lose their hopes.
Junsu lost his voice -his pride- for years, that he needed 2 be a trainee 4 7years… I can’t imagine how come he didn’t go crazy becoz of that… Junsu’s before-puberty voice was the sound of heaven…
Yoochun had his parents divorce, lived in a foreign country, and need 2 be separated from his beloved family…
Jaejoong had 2 starve for days, gave his blood so he could eat, got out of high school coz he didn’t have money, trained his voice for hours coz people said he couldn’t sing (yes, if u don’t believe me, try finding AADBSK1 JJ interview- I was like ‘WTF’ when he said his friends used 2 make fun of his voice)…
They made it big in korea
Then thrown in Japan… Started from scratch… Separated from families and friends… Learning new language… Performing in 2 countries… Endless schedule…
When they became big enough, the separation happened…
I didn’t blame them…
I didn’t blame the other 2…
I think everything 4 a reason… 🙂
And here we have JYJ. They are big. They have fans all over the world. Their concert r all jam-packed. They have massive album sales. Practically, everything needed 4 a star 2 start being snobby and annoying…
Yet
Here we have them saying that they change their mind into a newbie once again… They want 2 start from small again…
If that is not amazing, I don’t know what is… 🙂
PS: sorry for such long comment… Have a nice day JYJ3 family! o(*^▽^*)o
A+++++
@orangelibraantz Can we turn this post into like declaration or oath or something .. nothing more to add,, when i decided to be a fan of JYJ and follow the 3 of them.. i know more than the face, the body , the singing and the dancing,, am following role models.. they aren’t perfect.. they are as flawed as everyone of us.. but their humility and the way they stand up for themselves is something admirable.. if i’ll admire someone.. it’ll be a person who can speak their minds well and know how to be grateful for the opportunities they have.. people who treat their fans as family and people around them with respect.. people who knows their craft and so passionate that they would not allowed themselves be boxed to just follow orders.. i followed JYJ for every good reason i mentioned and eve more,,
ikaw na jen… ikaw na!
OH GOD, I COULDN’T HAVE SAID THAT BETTER!
BESIDES THEIR ABILITIES AS SINGERS, THEIR HEARTS WORTH ALL THE GOLD IN THE WORLD, THEY COULD BE LIKE, I’M AN EX-DBSK, so “Kiss my ass”, but no, they’re humble, and without making a huge scandal, they’re winning with talent, heart and soul…
first, the album sales, 2nd, the “debut” in Europe and the devotion of the fans, and 3rd…will be being recogniced and respected for WHO THEY ARE NOW, and not who they used to be IN KOREA!
Cuz I think what hurt the most for the boys right now, is having all packed shows in europe, and not being able to perform in their own country, when they should be kissing their feet for making Korea Proud all over the world
Sorry for the long comment too ;P I just LOVE THEM SOOO MUCH
Love your comment! You are so right, I know their past history too, and one of the things I always admired the most in DBSK and JYJ and all the five boys were always their simple down to earth humility and hardworking honest personalities. No egos shooting through the roof there. I´m happy for their newfound freedom and wish them all the best in the world, they have indeed a new path to follow, new beautiful dreams to dream and realize, and many supporting fans, old and new to follow them along that path and cheer on. I believe these boys easily can, and will conquer the world. Go JYJ 🙂
@orangelibraantz OMG, reading ur long comment brought tears to my eyes. To be reminded about JYJ’s backgrounds and their current struggles it’s just too much for me to handle. True fans who understand where these guys are coming from will cheer for them as long as they want us to and we know that we are as important to them as they are to us. JYJ Fighting! JYJers Fighting!
YESS you are so spot on! I find it hard to believe why people accuse JYJ of being arrogant enough to try and leave SM. Mmm even before the lawsuit, our boys have always shown respect and modestyy!!!!
NOW it says something, when these stars, who have ALWAYS been humble, are leaving that company. SoMEthing is definitely wrong there. and it’s not JYJ thats for certain.
I love your comment! Thank you for elucidating such wonderful and positive things about our JYJ 🙂
ow…it’s great….
your long comment make me cry….(happy tears)
thank’s for mention about JYJ before debut as artist….
it’s great comment…^^
totally agree! ^^ well i can say they’re a bit narcissistic, but hey with such faces and singing who wouldn’t!? haha
Being in this fandom, many tears flowing, sometimes its a sad tears but sometimes like this (reading your comment) I got happy & proud tears. Proud of JYJ and proud of my families here. *hugs
I never get tired to say : I love you all JYJ fans..
why is it i feel so moved bcz of his words??i nearly crying
i always wish and pray JYJ for the best..for the hardwork,,they deserved the best!
“Because they are JYJ who think about their fans the most, from now on I want these fans who understand JYJ the most and are very important to them to have the best treatment by the company”??????
what company does Hayato-san means???
anyone inlight me PLZ!!^^
*coughavexcoughcough*

I dunno this fact since i am a newbie to JYJ, i even just knew about Jeje from PTB (shame shame shame). but goshh i am glad they get all the rewards back in million times better, the famous, the superb apartments, they could eat and buy everything they want. Really touched and wish for the best and more success to them (yeahh like they need it …with that super talent, it definitely will fall on their lap).,
Now i will get back to my homework, doing research for this super grup and hope will increase my knowledge with same level with all of you 🙂
yes, they are indeed amazing. you’re going to love them even more once you get to know them better.
@susanminew
Hello & welcome to JYJ3 family. It’s always a pleasure meeting new fans. 🙂
thanks @sapphire and quellieph also the rest JYJ3 family 🙂
can advise me which other blog can help me ? i found your blog really helpfull and has lot of info but i am soo starving about them, feed me up plsss
If you want stuff on JYJ only, try checking out the General All Purpose Post, otherwise known as gap or gapp. Lots of vids & links to old DBSK & JYJ vids are posted here. For serious stuff, aka the lawsuit, go to thejyjfiles. But be warned, it’s not for the faint of heart.
Somewhere along the way, you’ll encounter this horrendous place called truetvxq blog spot. It started out earlier than JYJ3 and jyjfiles, and its source of rumors is none other than Hotel’s homey, TVXQ Telzone. It is best known for being extremely biased and manipulative, and for deleting commonsensical comments of “the other side” that it can’t argue against. New fans who wouldn’t bother to go any further than that will most definitely be fooled. Just wanted to give you a word of caution ^____^
thanks everyone 🙂 i will check it once i am back home 😦 cant open utube at work gaaarggghhhh.
i love Hayato-san for loving the boys as much as he did. i knew i made the right choice by these 3. even with their success and high achievements they continue to grow and tries every avenue they can work on.
they are TRUE ARTISTS indeed.
‘They said, it doesn’t matter if it’s in small venues; we want to have a national tour in Japan.’
Well, even if they set up a stage in the park, people will still go and see them.
Oh wait….. They already did! 😛
Ok, ok, seriously, as much as the boys have the numerous talents their awesome bodies contain, it’s also their personalities that really really make the fans, and those who know them love them more and more each day.
“Almost every man wastes part of his life in attempts to display qualities which he does not possess, and to gain applause which he cannot keep. ~Samuel Johnson, The Rambler, 1750”
Not our boys. 🙂 They are like caterpillas slowly but surely showing their true beauty.
If nothing ever changed, there’d be no butterflies.
Therefore, I believe, even if the boys become old men, as long as they still continue to be themselves, I’ll be there. 🙂
“They are like caterpillas slowly but surely showing their true beauty.
If nothing ever changed, there’d be no butterflies.” – We already have one special social butterfly ^_______^
Wow even the ment for their concert was being scripted. WTH!
I’m so glad that JYJ left those companies and smell the freedom along their way.
JYJ fighting!
Ment is often scripted, sometimes just for practical reasons such as time control or to introduce the next item. What is different was that they were GIVEN A SCRIPT. There was no input from them, just memorise what other people (management) wanted them to say, which is actually, quite telling about their previous management’s management style.
Now i realize what s freedom means for JYJ. thank you Hayato-san. and I love you JYJ!!! and JYJ family.
