[NEWS/INFO] “Barcelona: Soompi France at JYJ concert”

JYJ in Europe.  A news that delighted the European fans when they knew that their stars have scheduled two dates in Europe to meet them. Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu set fire to the stage at Poble Espanyol in Barcelona on October 29th, 2011 and 8 days later, November 6th, in Berlin. Soompi France went to Barcelona to attend the concert of the three gods of the East. More than 3,000 people from all over Europe came to cheer on the three singers.

French, Spanish, Italian, German, English… All nationalities were present in front of Poble Espanyol. Many Spanish people were surprised to see the long queue that began to form in October 28th (or even before for the more adventurous fans). The fans explained with their heart that they were there for one thing, for one group, and for an event they had waited for so long : JYJ. The fans and enthusiasts counted hours before finding themselves faced with the three singers.  Sleeping [at the venue] or waiting all day didn’t bother them – far from it.  Some answered “I’m desperate to be as close to the stage as possible and see them in the flesh.”

It is emotionally hard for foreign fans as they can only see these stars on the internet from their computer since they are at the other end of the world.  When they materialized in front of the fans, it was a surreal experience.

Sungkyunkwan Scandal, which aired in popularity online on KBS, appeared as a question in the 2012 College Scholastic Aptitude Test that took place on the 10^th.

On the morning of the 11^th, a single posting was revealed on the bulletin of an online community website under the title of SKKS Scholastic Aptitude Test on Language Skills and so gathered the eyes.

The posting that was revealed on that day was a capture of the second question of the exam’s listening evaluation for language skills. A scene from the drama Sungkyunkwan Scandal was inserted and so delivers surprise.

On the afternoon of the 4^th, two days before JYJ’s concert in Berlin, I had an interview with them. Although unable to be used on the broadcast, there were a few good words and so I record them here instead.

It is the final world tour of this year. What aspects will you appeal?

Junsu: The current tour is not new, it is the extension of the worldwide album. There is nothing particularly changed on this tour. Instead, we were able to stand [on the stage] with the European dancers. He is a famous entertainer in Spain (Rafa Méndez).  He is someone who can do acrobatic acts in dancing with the passion that befits Europe. He molded such dances into the concert. If there are points that are different then those are it.

To be contrasted with collaborative concerts from other agencies, this is the first solo concert in Europe. You said that the difference was that there could be a narrative—what does that mean?

Junsu: A concert planned by an agency is one in which many artists come out and sing their representative songs and then finish. But JYJ can show a variety with talk and conversation. From there, it is different. There is a story that dance songs and ballad songs give. But when singers merely sing their own songs and then get out, then when transitioning from dance to ballad it can be unnatural. It is different in that regard. Looking at it from another angle, it is not to post the title of the agency but rather a concert that puts the team’s name on the stake in the foreign land of Europe. In just looking at the fact that we made the first stride in Spain and Germany which were untraveled (by Korean artists), it is meaningful.

The character [art] of the part time worker of the steamed chicken restaurant who loves JYJ has appeared and is giving laughter.

Previously on an online community, the following words had been posted and thus become a hot issue: “I was looking outside the window and a part-timer wearing the costume for the chicken house appeared. There were photos of JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu hanging on a cosmetics store. The part-timer stared in front of Kim Jaejoong’s photo for quite a long time.”

At this, JYJ’s Chinese fans have expressed the scene of the part-timer who was thinking of JYJ and emitting hearts. The chicken inside the fanart was in four forms and was adorableness itself.

[FAN ACCOUNT] Kim Jaejoong’s Concert in Seoul (02/03 November 2013)

It was indeed a great deal of good fortune that Jae’s Seoul concert dates coincide with the block leave that I planned months ago. In fact, it was with as much blind hope than with foresight that I plotted my leave in November. God knows how hard it was for me to take leave…. I hate my company! Hahaha

With my leave no longer an issue, onward arrived all the concert ticketing, flight and accommodation anxiety!

Well, first I book my flight, and I ……….. I see you’re not the slightest interested in how I managed to overcome all those issues right?!
FINE! I’ll just skip to when I finally step foot in Seoul… what?! OK! When I step foot in COEX! Happy?! LOL

Anyway, the night before the concert itself, a few of us made our way to COEX to recce the place and also hoping to catch him doing his rehearsal and boy were we glad we did!
It was late and quiet but hearing his voice coming out of the hall was amazing. Because the hall was empty, his voice echoed through and it was heavenly. At times, we only heard the piano and music and it was so serene. He didn’t really finished singing any songs, probably to conserve his voice for the actual days. We almost went crazy when we heard him rehearsing Kiss B and Glamorous Sky! I have half a mind to tweet the good news but then decide against it coz I don’t wanna spoil the fun. XP

It did seem he had fun rehearsing as sometimes he tested the mic making silly sounds, “Ha..Ya.. Oh…” and then his signature 3- syllables laughter “Ha ha ha”. How adorable. We were trying hard to control our smiles and laughs. There was a security there you see~

After standing outside and listening to him for nearly an hour, we reluctantly decided to make our way back to the hotel.

[INFO] Kim Jaejoong Potentially Filming a CF in Korea Right Now

An employee of the information center of Hae-Ri (roughly translated as “City of Hae”) tweeted the following:

[TRANS] There is a CF being filmed in White Block (likely a gallery) in Hae-Ri (a region)—They say it is Kim Jaejoong T_T_T But I only saw the car T_T only saw the staff T_T only saw the meal car T_T

[ANNC] Circumstances Behind Article Casting Doubt On Number 3000 for JYJ Spain Concert

Dispatch is well-known to be the leading tabloid/gossip publication in Korea.

On November 3rd, Dispatch published an article with the headline of “Did 3000 Come? JYJ, the Truth Behind the Controversy of Having Manipulated the [Facts About] the Spain Concert.” (Found here) The article asserted that the figure of 3000 was false.

Responding to this, on November 3^rd, Lee Jaeun (@beyondmonica) who is the publicist to JYJ tweeted the following:

[TRANS] Was totally nervous for the 13 hours of flight to the degree that I developed my trapezius muscles. When I landed I received the text messages from many. Yes, I feel that I made the right decision. Indeed, best response to an action with malicious intent is to “not respond” at all. Now meeting is over. Let’s unpack. It is now Berlin. ^^”

[TRANS] @fan As for the rumors [about JYJ], the managers [care enough to the degree that they] go to the police station once a week and it is also something that we find to be the most pressing. But as the the article, over 30 strong media outlets prove [our facts] and there is not even 1% of lies on our side and so there is no need to respond.

This is the statement made by JYJ’s publicist herself on this particular article. (1) In other words, JYJ’s publicist herself informed the fans that the article is a rumor and that its writer does not deserve the satisfaction of receiving our attention.
