JYJ, along with the other CjeS entertainment artists, came together for a pictorial that promoted love and sharing for the “Share Happiness” campaign.
JYJ (Kim Jaejoong, Park Yoochun, Kim Junsu) gathered together with Song Jihyo and Park Yoohwan for the ELLE pictorial, which had a concept of “Hippie freedom and peace, a peaceful day among five family members”.
In particular, this was the first time for real life brothers Park Yoochun and actor Park Yoohwan to do a photoshoot together and neither could conceal their joy about it. There was a good mood while shooting and Park Yoochun teased about sending the photos from the shoot directly to their mother. Park Yoohwan stated “It is an honor for me to be working with my brother and these great sunbaes on this shoot.” Read More →
JYJ’s ever growing popularity in Japan remains unchanging.
On October 15 in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan, the JYJ World Tour opened to audiences of greater than 80,000 people for two days. JYJ’s Special Edition CD of their In Heaven album also has swept records charts for all the major record stores. But on top of all of this, JYJ’s Worldwide Concert Tour DVD sold out on Amazon Japan, which further proves the band’s explosive popularity.
An official from Tower Records stated “JYJ related music and DVDs always immediately lead to explosive sales. Compared to Hallyu stars, JYJ’s albums are always in scarce numbers [because of high sales] and the reaction to them is much higher than any other singer. Also, we find this situation even more surprising because JYJ has not had any public activities in Japan for two years now.” Read More →
Hello, I’m JYJ’s Kim Junsu.
I was invited to the 2011 Asia Jewelry Award that will be held in Korea on this 6th December.
First of all, I’m really honored.
Above all, I think Jewelry Award is a fantastical and beautiful event in Asia and also in the world.
To be awarded World KPOP Superstar Award in this big event, I feel even more honored and happy. Thank you very much.
Also, I’m really proud that I can join this event with contents of cultural exchange.
Of course, it was thanks to fans that I can receive this award and I also want to participate to this event. I would like to convey my thanks to my fans.
JAEJOONG SAYS:
Q: How was the European Tour?
A: Both the Spain concert and the Germany concert were fun. It feels that, in the midst of fear that comes due to it being the first time, I’ve spotted “hope.” I’ve found a new goal as well. [For instance,] the feeling of seeing Caucasians sing along to our songs was significantly different from the feeling received with Asian fans. It felt new/strange.
Q: If you had an item that you definitely pack in your travel trunk.
A: Erm. The slipper that they sell at the market. Thick fur is lining it and so it is soft/warm.
Q: How to become happy on a difficult day.
A: When a spot hurts, when you pinch another place actually the hurt in that place feels less. For instance, on a day after drinking heavily because of low spirits, I eat (to wake up) severely. I eat too much to the degree that my stomach hurts! I regret that moment thinking that I ate it for nothing and then I pay attention to the belly sticking out a bit. So then I work out. The method is that you have more of the meaningless thoughts and so you forget the actual important thing?
YOOCHUN SAYS:
Q: The word is that you spent a while abroad.
A: That is right. Actually when I go abroad, I come to just stay in the hotel room except for official schedules. I dim the lights of the room and drink. Haha. A bit ago in Spain, I drank 17 bottles of beer.
Q: If you drink like that alone don’t thoughts multiply.
A: Yes. Thoughts that come, one after another… I don’t want to think but when I look at it, it seems that I am enjoying it. And then I write a bit. I have quite a few notes that I’ve scribbled in, whatever the topic. Later I would look at them and perhaps use them as lyrics. Most of the lyrics in my songs have come about that way.
Q: Your thoughts on charity activities.
A: It is a good thing. But I don’t care for too much of the “please compliment me” stuff.
Q: Are you doing any kind things.
A: I have my own. I don’t want to reveal them.
JUNSU SAYS:
Q: I have many thoughts, or I am simple?
A: I am actually on the side of having many thoughts. When I was staying in Berlin also for the European tour I walked the night streets thinking of this and that. For the first time in a very long while. While I walked, four hours had passed. I have many thoughts but I am on the side of trying to get rid of them quickly. I believe in the power of optimism.
Q: How to become happy when it is difficult.
A: Think of the fans who are waiting [for us]! When you think of that, you do your best no matter what. If I were to answer a bit more honestly, daydreaming about playing soccer? Just the thought makes me happy. Of course when I actually step on the playing field it feels better.
Q: The playlist that gets me “up” nowadays.
A: The new song by Jason Mraz, The World As I See It, I am immersed into.
JYJ Egyptian fans started a “We Want JYJ in Egypt (Opera House)” petition and also contacted the Korean Embassy to request JYJ to be the first Korean band to hold a concert in the Middle East.
Unfortunately, due to the current situation in Egypt, the Korean embassy said it’s hard to approve the fans’ request this year. However, the fans were very happy when, last Thursday (November 17, 2011), the Korean Embassy in Egypt gave out JYJ posters (poster used in their European Tour). The fans consider this as a proof that their request was heard and that the embassy contacted CJES ^^. Read More →
