JYJ, Park Yoohwan and Song Jihyo Transform into Mango Santas. “Let’s Plant 20,000 Mango Trees in Sudan!”
JYJ, Song Jihyo and Park Yoohwan stepped up to the “Plant 20,000 Mango Trees of Hope in Sudan, Africa” Project ahead of Christmas.
Recently, JYJ, Song Jihyo and Park Yoochun gifted an early Christmas through the website of the C-JeS Entertainment, saying: “How does gifting mango trees that can act as food and shades for the children of Sudan, Africa who are losing hope due to long internal wars?”
The support of mango trees is an enterprise proceeded by World Vision to help the children of sudan, Africa. The stars of C-JeS Entertainment will combine in the campaign with the fans in a meaningful way and so will promote enthusiastically with the goal of sending 20,000 mango trees.
The seedlings can be supported for 10,000 KRW (approximately 10 USD) per one. C-JES Entertainment plans to send a letter with a thanking message and autograph from the stars to everyone who participate.
JYJ said: “We heard that mango trees become food and act as good shades for the children. We hope to create a dense forest with the fans who look after and love us. Since a mango tree has a lifespan of 100 years we want it to be something of precious significance that are together [with us] for a long time.”

I want to donate, but HOW?????
wow! an autograph in return of US$10. pretty sure they can achieve their objective within a very short period of time!
This is SOOO charming and nice. I just love this. JYJ reaching out to the most needy. Thank you, boys for always being so compassionate and generous with your time and your money. God Bless you.
anyone knows how to participate?
C-Jes has a special icon to the donation page from their website, the “Share Happiness” link to the left
then it’ll take you to:
http://c-jes.com/mangotree/ and you click the ‘Click’ bubble to get to get to WorldVision
okay i want to know how to be part of it.. that would be awesome.. if we can build a JYJ forest in Sudan!
how? even without that autograph it’s ok.
from filling in some of your info –like who you heard it from (JYJ ^^) and your email address — maybe they can contact you to ask for a mailing address to send the autograph to?
iono…
I am more than sure that they’ll be able to gather more than 20000 mango trees ^__^ ( JYJ and JYJ fans love!!)
I hope international fans get the opportunity to participate too ( even though probability is really low lol )
yea I just went to the C-Jes Site and I noticed that when you try to participate, they ask for general identity information such as your foreign identity number, etc. I think this is limited to fans that are located in Korea. If you are a foreigner in Korea, you can participate as well but you have to give them your alien registration number. I wish I could participate but to everyone who really wants to help, you don’t have to do it through the Mango Tree Project. You can still go to the World Vision website and donate to the children of Sudan. \(^o^)/ JYJ would be proud of everyone either way I’m sure!
that’s nice to know. i think for those with twitter.. fans can ask @beyondmonica how international fans can participate.. or better if we could know any Korean fansite who could work with JYJ3 to gather the funds.. similar to what JJ Fan Union is doing during the PTB Support Project… they gather funds all over the world but there is a Korean team who uses the money for the support project and reports where the funds were spent with receipts and pictures as evidence..
C-Jes has a special icon to the donation page from their website, the “Share Happiness” link to the left
then it’ll take you to:

for some reason, they’re not taking my donation right now…
oops @palguna
oooh I saw that.. but it cant be click.. not sure why.. or probably they’ll take donations later?
only the Korean version can be clicked right now.. the Japanese and English page.. there is a bubble CLICK but does not take you to a link yet unlike the Korean page..we might just have to wait for a while
How come they choose only Sudan????
There r many parts of the world need some
Attention like this…..hope someday they can
Reach it !
R they doing the campaign like what the World Vision agency wants to?
Or they r free to do what they want & choose
Any country?
Curios!!!!!!!
I think it’s World Vision who decides or suggest to them where help is more needed.. some areas and projects have other company sponsors, Sudan needed a sponsor and World Vision probably suggested to JYJ to support that specific project..
@jenknight
The children of the Sudan are in a desperate way. There is massive drought and famine there as well as the constant bloody tribal wars that constantly target women and therefore their helpless children. Aside from Somalia, another region of tremendous need, it’s one of the most urgent places for aid to be delivered right now.
i really want to donate too! i would love to be in on one of their charity projects and help others with them. if anyone finds a way to donate for us i fans, please let us know! although by then i bet they will surely have more than enough for the trees! because—their fans all over the world are awesome!
I want to help too!!
Please,tell us how! ><
@solangeJJ
I learned from @rillana above that this page –> http://c-jes.com/mangotree/index_en.html when you click the bubble with the word “CLICK” should directly link you to World Vision to donate for JYJ’s Mango tree project.. but so far the English and Japanese page is not yet ready to take in donation..
But if you go to the Korean page –> http://c-jes.com/mangotree/index_ko.html and click on the bubble “CLICK” it’ll direct you to this World Vision Page
http://www.worldvision.or.kr/sponsor/support/onestop/onestop_support02.asp?code=96&moti=3308&hold=YES
that will direct people how to make the donations.. I see the name JYJ so I think it’s a specific account already that was prepared for this mango tree for sudan project..
So for now.. I’ll wait for the English page of World Vision to be ready before I’d make the donation..
Thanks a lot for this, I want to participate as well, I will wait for the english page then.
I really want to participate in this too. Please C-Jes, open this up for i-fans as well.
Just tweet @beyondmonica How can international fans can participate in C-Jes “Mango Tree” Project? International fans want to help.
Wait to see if there is anyway to participate. This will be a great X-mas gift to give to the world.
Now this is really a great movement!! I can’t say enough how proud I am about them. Not only helping to supply food, but it also will provide a green development, provide more forests, in the African continent which is known for their dryness. Green development is a must! I want to participate, but I’m afraid I can’t. World Vision is a Christian based organization, and I am not a Christian. But I really will follow their step by other means to share and give.. ^_^
Im not sure how this would work for you but would it really hurt your religious beliefs if you donated to a christian mission? it’s a general question and not meant to criticize you…
if your religion promotes helping others in need and those who are suffering, then i dont think donating to a christian org will hurt?
just try to think abt it carefully… if u’re not breaking ur religious laws by helping others, then go for it!
@ai uta
You don’t have to be a Christian to donate to World Vision if that’s what is worrying you. They accept donations from anyone who chooses to give. ^___^
@ai uta: You think too much. World Vision is a charity organization, any one can donate for their worldwide charity activities. You can take part in for sure, if you want to help these sudan children. Why didn’t african countries stop the war and take care of their peoples, they are so selfish with political wars for stupid power… I hope things will be better with those poor peoples.
Beyondmonica, I think I do understand cjes’s strategy now. Slow but natural (but effective), you are trying to get out of old-fashioned system… Good job. I like you more than I can say, cjes ah.
ooohhh!! I’m new but I want to help too!!….I’m catholic and mexican…BUT NO MATTER THE RELIGION, COUNTRY OR IDEOLOGY WHEN IT COME TO HELP!!!….I’m very proud to be JYJ fan….AND I WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS PROJECT!!!I
Very impressive project, it’s a long term visionary program to help, “Teach them how to fish, don’t always give them fish”, this I think is the ideology of this. Thousands of mango trees can provide livelihood to a lot of people, and mango is a potential export agri-product, aside from its green effect to Sudan. Though it is a very daring, ambitious and risky project (young mango plants are delicate and need proper care and maintenance up to the fruiting stage and it takes years of input without revenue ) but yes, it’s JYJ, they are always brave enough to “try and dare”. I’m really happy that JYJ gets to work with their charities with World Vision, I believe they are on the right track. (Nasa matuwid na daan ang tatlong gwapo na ito!)
Everyday, JYJ gives us their fans a reason to be proud of.
I’m waiting for more info how to effectively participate with this project.
I agree, this project brings tears to my eyes, and hope for a lot of people.
JYJ Mango Tree Forest….. AMEN!
Why can’t someone contact a Korean club admin or someone from C-jes to provide us with a paypal account to send money to? I mean even if fans here can send very little (Mark it as gift and personal so that there would be very little fees). The sum of all will end up to be a lot if everyone participates. I mean, it takes me a few clicks to send money to Japan; it would be no different to send it to Korea.
I am sorry; being new, I am not quite sure how things work here. I can tell you that it would not make sense for everyone who wants to contribute to wire funds to Korea. The fees would just eat the donation alive. I just think that since paypal allows really small amounts to large amounts, it would be ideal. I would assume those who want to claim it on their taxes might go the wire route.
في السودان هذا شيء جميل
great project !
‘Recently, JYJ, Song Jihyo and Park Yoochun gifted an early Christmas through the website of the C-JeS Entertainment’..
