[NEWS] 111202 JYJ “AIDS Day” Relay Tweets Cause an Explosive Reaction

Group JYJ used relay tweets to promote world AIDS day.

As United Nations “UNAIDS” goodwill ambassadors, the JYJ members spread publicity for world AIDS day through their twitter.

Kim Jaejoong tweeted “Do you guys know we are UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassadors? Junsu, what special day is December 1st?” to which Kim Junsu responded “Don’t forget December 1st is World AIDS day”. Park Yoochun finished the relay of tweets by promoting the UNAIDS twitter and website. The members tweeted in english, attracting the attention of International fans.

The relay promotion of JYJ caused a hot reaction on twitter. Each of the members have more than 500,000 twitter followers from across the world who sent messages for world AIDS day in many languages.

In addition, there was a massive increase in traffic to the United Nations AIDS website immediately following the tweets—once again proving the global popularity of JYJ.

“Fans of Idols and Actors Jang Geun Suk, Park Yoochun, Song Chang-ee, and Rain Donate Roce Wreaths for A Charitable Organization”

On December 1st, rice wreaths from fans of over 37 actors and singers were unloaded in Seoul Plaza for the Salvation Army by the company Dreame (t/n: this is one of the main companies that does rice wreath donations). Fans from Korea and abroad normally send rice wreaths to their idols for musicals, concerts, and press conferences. The total of wreaths from this round of donations was 11,635 kg, which is enough to give meals to over 100,000 children.

The rice wreaths from Dreame came from AB Foods Market and will be sent to local children’s shelters as well as the national center for social welfare and undernourished children; benefitting young boys and girls as well as the elderly.

JYJ’s Park Yoochun leads the list with 1.6 tons of rice donated in his name. Singer Rain comes in second with 1.55 tons, followed by actor Song Chang-ee with 1.54 tons, singer JungMin with 1.2 tons, the Beast members with 720Kg, girl group KARA with 600Kg, and 2pm with 330 kg.

Meeting with JYJ

With JYJ coming to Europe, we couldn’t miss such an opportunity to miss these important icons of K-pop. It’s to Barcelona that we went to meet Yoochun, Jaejoong and Junsu. So here is a double-page specially in their honor.

After the SM Entertainment concert in Paris, it’s Spain and Germany’s turn to receive korean idols with JYJ’s European tour. A Kpop Life Mag’s kick-ass team went to Barcelona to meet the group.

We arrived on Friday, 24 hours before the concert, to meet with JYJ before rabble, and there’s already fans queuing in front of the venue! Despite the rain, they gathered in front of the door, patiently waiting to see their idols. Some have spent 2 nights, litterally camping on the ground, in order to get the best spots and to try to get in contact with the group before the concert.

[NEWS] 111202 Lee Yong, “‘Forgotten season’ of Kim Jaejoong and Seo Youngeun are the best cover versions of original song”

Singer Lee Young praised juniors Kim Jaejoong and Seo Youngeun.

In SBS Good Morning show aired Dec 2^nd morning, Lee Yong said, “‘Forgotten season’, the song that gave me Music Award, is unforgettable song for me.”

He added, “From 30 years ago, many juniors have been continuing to remake that song, about 50 people. You can see many well-singing singers challenge it but it’s really hard to sing.” And he praised, “Kim Jaejoong and Seo Youngeun have very well remade the original song. Because they gave it right feelings, they sang it well.”  “I don’t know how they could sing with that feeling. I think they sang it better than me.”
