T/N: After Jang Geun Suk, Yoochun’s Fanclub it’s in the second place donating 1.8 tons of rice
“Fans of Idols and Actors Jang Geun Suk, Park Yoochun, Song Chang-ee, and Rain Donate Roce Wreaths for A Charitable Organization”
On December 1st, rice wreaths from fans of over 37 actors and singers were unloaded in Seoul Plaza for the Salvation Army by the company Dreame (t/n: this is one of the main companies that does rice wreath donations). Fans from Korea and abroad normally send rice wreaths to their idols for musicals, concerts, and press conferences. The total of wreaths from this round of donations was 11,635 kg, which is enough to give meals to over 100,000 children.
The rice wreaths from Dreame came from AB Foods Market and will be sent to local children’s shelters as well as the national center for social welfare and undernourished children; benefitting young boys and girls as well as the elderly.
JYJ’s Park Yoochun leads the list with 1.6 tons of rice donated in his name. Singer Rain comes in second with 1.55 tons, followed by actor Song Chang-ee with 1.54 tons, singer JungMin with 1.2 tons, the Beast members with 720Kg, girl group KARA with 600Kg, and 2pm with 330 kg.

Good job Chunsas :O
And Clouds came in second ❤
I wonder how rich those chunsas are.. and they always do the donations in the name of YC.. I really like it a lot!!! Instead of wasting their money doing stuffs, they do donations!!!! Salute~~~~
Hi Nandar dear *hugggssss* … bubbly’s standing right next to you saluting to these awesome artists (so proud our Chun’s listed, hehe) and fans (Chunsas are amongst them, yeah)!!! Well done!!! 🙂
Yayayay RICE again! ^_____^
JYJ are KINGS OF RICE 8D
I approve, so…. http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/986/49881288.jpg
congrats chunsas!!!
chunsas u guys amazing !!
I feel like Korea is swimming in rice right about now. People are always donating tons and tons of rice.
Well done Chunsas!
Hi @Love
“I feel like Korea is swimming in rice right about now.” ~~~ LOL, what a way to put it – I can totally imagine. WOW!!! … 11,635 kg!! ~ that’s a lot of rice, haha. SK should be so proud of her sons and daughters. The less fortunate ones are just so lucky to have these beautiful celebrities, as well as their equally beautiful fans.
WELL DONE Chunsas!!! 😀 … and also WELL DONE to all others who had contributed to this meaningful project!!!
Yes, SK should be proud to have these kind of artists and fans!!!! But what makes me pissed off is the a$$h@!3$ are C@#$blocking those guys who are doing all the good things for man kind and SK is not taking any action!!!!!
What a disgrace to S. Koreans!!! F@#$%% Stupid Men!!!!
Sorry, i am so so damn pissed!!!!!!
chill chill darling!! they will find their way~ *playfully throws rice at nandar* ^^
@Nandar
I totally feel your frustrations. Here, share my CHILL-pills!!!!!!!!!! 😉 Ikr!! If only there’s something somebody can do to help these lovely boyz!!!!!!!!! Boyz with good hearts!!
@flutterbybutterfly
flutter dear *hugGSSsss* ~ Careful, Nandar’s upset!!! 😦
@bubbly
lol yeaah i can see thatt..you better blow some rainbow jyj bubbles her way!!
-hugggieesss- ^^ chunpills anyone..heehee
@flutterbybutterfly
rainbow jyj bubbles?! Yes, yes, hope it works ;), hehe.
Fans can be amazing sometimes (a lot of the time, tbh!) :DDD and esp Chunsas/JYJ fans~ & is that SS501’s Park Jungmin? Because that would put two of my biases on the top of this list and I really, really like to know that their fans are this great 🙂
wow awesome!!!! chunnie you’re amazing ^____^
now THAT is freaking AWESOME!!!
Fans are freaking awesome as always. Now, if we add JaeJoong’s 6.5 tons of rice, and I am not sure if JunSu had such an event or if JYJ as group had such a donation, but anyhow, if we had to add only the donations in the name of YC and JJ —> that will be about 8 tons only in 2011. JJ’s PTB donation was the highest in the history of such donations.
http://jyj3.net/2011/07/28/news-110728-jyj%E2%80%99s-kim-jae-joong-receives-6-56-tons-of-rice/
I love (and I want to thank the fans with all my heart) when they do such meaningful events that help many other people. It shows love and respect not only for JYJ/JJ/YC/JS, but the people around. The fans sure are growing up beautifully in the world.
I was shocked at first not to see Jaejoong’s name on the list since I knew fans had outdone themselves in their efforts during PtB and it would be a real shame not to acknowledge their outstanding efforts. JYJ fans continue to give inspiration just like JYJ themselves! And of course, all the other fandoms too who are helping to change so many lives, are daebak!
oh, not to forget Chunsas donated tons of rice during SKKS and Miss Ripley… Yes, even u add up all the rice that chunsas alone donated can feed nearly the whole SK.. 😀 If add up the rice donated by all JYJ fans, wow, Speachless…
And yes, particularly i really thanks those ahjumas for supporting in the right way~~~ I really love to read the fans do donations in their idols’ names!!!!! Especially i have heard of frequent news that chunsas donated money, rice etc in YC name.. Cuz i ve heard that usually in Korea, most of the fans are young ppl and they are spending their money in unwise ways.. Forgive me if it is worng.. This is what i heard…
Now i see fans doing donations, it makes me WOW~~~~
@ DaeBaksama
JS fans donated rice during TOH and Mozert (i am not sure of the number but it is more than 5 tons. Which means can be 5~10 tons if u add up both i guess or may be even more than that).. And YC fans Donated rice during SKKS and MR which can be more than 10 tons if you add up both.. JJ fas also donated rice during PTB (I am not sure with the numbers but i am sure it is more than 5 tons.. As u say it might be 6.5 tons?? ) .. Thats why i say if u add up all the rice that JYJ fans donated, it might be good to feed 2 countries ( e.g S Korea + Singapore??) 😀
Good job JYJ fans~~~~~
@Nandar
Well said my dear. A+++ … that’s a lot of rice!! JYJ fans dae-to-the-bak!!!!!!!!!! No need for competitions, these three are EQUALLY awesome, and so are their fans … ;).
Chunsa are amazing ❤ ❤
JYJ fans too.. I bet JJ will take the lead next year
Chunsas are amazing..
But guess what?? I feel a bit unfortable to call myself Chunsas.. Cuz If i say chunsas, the credit will also come to me and I didnt even contributed a single cent!!!! *sigh*
I wish i could contribute to them.. I tried visiting YC websites cuz i wanted to join them and their activities as i find what they are doing is really meaningful… But sad to know that all are Korean websites… i cant understand a thing~~~ 😦
@Nandar
“But sad to know that all are Korean websites… i cant understand a thing~~~” ~~ I guess to learn Korean is de only way out, hehe. But Korean is a difficult language 😦 *sigh*
@bubbly
I though Korean was easy-ish to learn? Although I’m so tired, right now I’m having problems with English!
@Sapphire
Hi Sapphire, “I though Korean was easy-ish to learn?” ~~ really? Korean easy-ish?!! Wow, so you are actually learning the language now? Or are you speaking the language now? Ok, this should explain it – you are SMART and I’m DUMB, aHAHahahh, SO SAD 😦 but true ………… BUT I’m not giving up!!! bubbly, fighting!!! hihi. 😛
🙂 you too..love you bubbly darling! ^^ ^^ *tickles*
wooops! that comment was for another post! hehe..:P
you are not dumb!! we learn together okie?? 🙂
@Sapphire @bubbly
I’m just a beginner but I think that Korean may not be exactly easy but I am not finding it that difficult. Pronunciation is quite different from my mother tongue and grammar is the most tricky part I think. You have to put a lot of effort to get familiar with the sounds and all and things will probably get more complicated, but when compared to other languages I’ve thought about learning/tried to learn, I think with effort and motivation you make good advances :’D (while, i.e, Mandarin is my impossible dream, apparently, will never get that right.) A friend of mine has been studying for (almost, not yet) 2 years and is now fluent enough – she went to Seoul for a month and a half and communicated with Koreans perfectly ^^!
thanks @skye!
that was really encouraging..its my dream to speak fluently in korea..like your friend ^^
mandarin is difficult cos of the impossible million and one characters to learn by heart..unless you were made to learn it as your second language in school..
an alternative is you could stay in china for a couple of years 🙂
do you know how to speak jap? if i asked you to rank korean vs jap..which one would be the harder one to learn?
@bubbly
I wasn’t trolling you. & no, I can’t speak Korean at all – except for few phrases which I probably mangle with my pronunciation. I watch the Korean news, but I can’t make head nor tail of it. 😦
@Skye
Korean not difficult?! WOW, another smartie here, LOL.
“A friend of mine has been studying for (almost, not yet) 2 years and is now fluent enough – she went to Seoul for a month and a half and communicated with Koreans perfectly ^^!” ~~ WOW, really? I so admire your friend, she must be a genius, haha^^ .. so looking forward to the day when I can actually roam all over SK, communicating in only Korean ~~ wOahh, that will be dream-come-true.
But I guess, like any other languages, to learn it well – it’s best to surround yourself with people who actually communicate in that language … 🙂
@Sapphire
“I watch the Korean news, but I can’t make head nor tail of it” ~~ ROFL, but you are still watching ;), a very adventurous gurl indeed. But you know what, journey of a thousand miles begins with the first step. The few phrases that you speak now is definitely a good head start!! Fighting Sapphire, you can do it!!! hehe^^ *telling self, and you are still so far off, buck up bubbly, hahAH*
@flutterbybutterfly
“… an alternative is you could stay in china for a couple of years …” ~~ hehe, I guess we should all seriously consider moving to Korea for the next couple of years in order to pick up the language well! ^^
@bubbly
I’d do that!!! 😀
@bubbly
yes ok i’ll be meeting you there yeah? 😉
@Sapphire
“I’d do that!!!” ~~ yeah, LET’S do it!!! 😀 Hehe, who knows we might be lucky enough to bump into our boyz during that period of time 😛 .. but hey, I can dream, right?!
@bubbly
@flutterbybutterfly
😀 S Korea will be wondering why there’s a sudden influx of migrants all of a sudden!!
@sapphire
we are there to fight for rights of our jyj men!!
and jump on sm’s a$$.
@flutter
“yes ok i’ll be meeting you there yeah” ~ woah, yippee!!! My fav sis fluttery is joining us! 🙂 Holding fluttery and Sapphire’s hands – ‘Korea – here we come!!!’ *seriously preparing to leave for Korea now, getting so excited, LOL*
@bubbly
me eggcited too!! XP
seriously jyjfam should organise a trip 1 fine day..it would be so fun!!
too OTT?hee
@flutter
“we are there to fight for rights of our jyj men!!” ~ aHaHAha, is three enough?! *mind you: that StupidMan is ridiculously influential there* Let’s check to see if @Nandar wants to join us. Afterall, she’s the one who started this convo, LOL. *preparing as if for real, hehe* 😀
haha StupidMan~! Xp
yes please recruit her..and everyone else who wants to join is welcome!! ^^
@flutter
“seriously jyjfam should organise a trip 1 fine day..it would be so fun!!” ~~ wah, this would so OTT fun, kyaaah!!! Too good to be true!!! 😀
@Sapphire
“S Korea will be wondering why there’s a sudden influx of migrants all of a sudden!!” ~~ LOL, CRAZZZZY migrants at that!!! 😀
lets donate rice too in JYJ’s name!!!!!!!!!!!
@sam-sam
Woah, that’s a great idea!! 🙂
Yay… congrats to Chunsa… but where is Jae? Didn’t PtB press con record like 6 tons?
I think this is another event.. Cuz this 1.6 tons didnt count what chunsas donated during SKKS and Miss Ripley.. And JS fans also donated rice during TOH and Mozert right???
Thats why i guess this is another event which didnt count the rice they donated for other specific occations…. 🙂
Yoochun fans are awesome!
@Yane1210
“Yoochun fans are awesome!” ~ that’s because Yoochun is AWESOME!!! Like what @Nandar says: like artist, like fans!!! 😉
Kyaaaah, I have to let this out!!! Sorry.
I understand that we all have our own biases. But sadly, I have seen it too frequently ~ SOME obviously biased fans who are always OUT & READY to question the results/figures that’s officially announced, when a member other than their bias tops the list.
This is always the scenario: if *cough cough* their bias *cough cough* tops the list ~ THEN, all’s fine. No question. Everything’s fair and square. But if the result shows that another member of the group is leading, then there will be this same bunch of biased fans who will find ways to DISCREDIT the results.
My QUESTION IS: is this really appropriate, are these invisible competitions amongst the group members really necessary?!! And all these in the name of charity. Can’t we just be happy that our boys (regardless who) and their fans are doing something GREAT and just be proud of what they have done!!!!!!!!!!! Love PYC, Love JYJ!!!!!!!! Peace.
@bubbly
😀
i’m proud of them..and the sensible fans 🙂
rice rice baby~
@flutter
“… sensible fans” ~~~ my fluttery sis is in this bunch, for sure ;), that’s why I love her, hehe^^ 🙂
🙂 you toooo..love you bubbly darling! ^^ ^^ *tickles*
@bubbly ❤ your comment! I totally agree!!!!^^
Hi, *handshake with @Renee*, hehe^^ … Sorry, I might sound a lil’ over-sensitive here but these fans REALLY get on my NERVES, at times, haha.
Like here for instance, they are like: “Oh I see, it’s 1.6tons – good for you, Chunsas. But you know what, this is NOTHING compared to what Jaeharems (oOooopppsssss, I spelt it out!!!!!! :P) had raised for PtB. We raise a whopping 6.5tons. And that is like 4-folds to what you gals had raised? So yeah, congratz BUT this is NOTHING in comparison.” I was like, hellllllllooooo!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me, is this really necessary?!!
Outsiders might be laughing at us JYJers, for doing this kind of useless comparisons. WE are supposed to be ONE big family, y’all ;). Moreso, this is CHARITY, goodness me. To me, even a 100gm of rice is still charity and should be encouraged, you know what I mean? Cheers!!! 😀
And oh … don’t get me wrong, I’ve got nothing against Jaeharems. There are many many GOOD Jaeharems (in my book, that is, hehe) around. Ermmm, my fav sis @flutterbybutterfly is one *whispering to self: I’m counting on you sis, hehe*, @Sapphire, @Shadow and many more (these are the few that I can think of right now 😉 ) … and oh, @shuheilove and the list goes on … :). Peace!! 😉
correction: LOVELY Jaeharems *coz I’m not too sure if they are GOOD ;), kKEKekkeee, jk.
this is NOTHING compared to what Jaeharems (oOooopppsssss, I spelt it out!!!!!! ) had raised for PtB. We raise a whopping 6.5tons. And that is like 4-folds to what you gals had raised? So yeah, congratz BUT this is NOTHING in comparison.”
I’m sorry but I’ve read all the comments and from the comments i didn’t think they meant it like what you wrote
They are just asking what happened to the donation of ptb coz they said it was a record in history but I think this article is about another event and they didn’t know so they were just asking (and YES I’m jaejoong biased so I was a little bit offended coz I didn’t think like that all)
Anyways I don’t think its a big deal and its all about charity after all ! So I think these fans are really amazing and they really spend their money for good ! Good job chunsas and all jyj fans
Peace
^ actually this is just for the holiday season for this organzzation
and i thought JYJ showcase was the record
http://sharingyoochun.net/2010/10/14/trans-101014-jyj-showcase-received-8-38-tons-of-rice-in-3-days-–-highest-record-in-history/
@bubbly
“WE are supposed to be ONE big family, y’all ;). Moreso, this is CHARITY, goodness me.” yeppo. <333 🙂
haha why do you think i'm a jae fan?? is it that obvious? XP
no seriousssly..i cant pick..i'm a JYJ fan..today i'm all xiah junsu. 😀 *wondering where is that cutie patootie*
but dont mess with jae fans though..there are SWARMS here..and EXTREMELY intelligent women at that..they will take you down if necessary. 😉
@megajaefan
Oooppsss, I’m REALLY sorry if I offended you. I might be wrong, but there’s just something about how it’s presented. Obviously, we are reading things from different perspectives. Whatever, my sincere apologies.
But then again, my point here IS: this is a separate event altogether, why can’t we just give these amazing artists and their fans a round of applause, give them some encouragements, tell them WELL DONE, and MOVE on already!!! Why must we always bring up the “record in history” issue all the time. I’m proud of the fans for making THAT record but can’t we be proud, celebrate and drop it there already. Unless, if is a separate post on records, then yes – by all means. Otherwise, we should refrain from doing so. We are only making the smaller contributors look even smaller :(. Anyway, that’s just my thought. Peace!!!
@flutterbybutterfly
“haha why do you think i’m a jae fan?? is it that obvious? XP” ~~ blame it on my instinct ;), LOL.
“but dont mess with jae fans though..there are SWARMS here..” ~~ THIS, I’m very much aware :P.
“they will take you down if necessary” ~~ thank you for your advice, it meant a lot to me. Nah, I’m considering taking myself down, even if it’s not necessary.
Seriously, you are a GREAT great person – just want you to know!!!!! 😉 I just feel ultra comfortable and I had so much fun when you are around, hehe. Thank you for being an awesome sis. *hugggsss*
i feel really comfy with you around too!
i love you too my darling bubblesss ^^ 😀
stay awesome sweetsss 😉
-hugs bubbles till she pops-
To Chunnie, and the fans in his clubs, job well done. Take pride in knowing you will help feed A LOT of people! This is a wonderful gift. I heart all that you’ve done. 🙂 Happy Holidays! PEACE!
