Dear readers, see instructions here, in our first General All-Purpose Post.
Let’s have fun, build friendships, share news, and be happy in JYJ ^__^
‘Twas the night before it all started. Late at night at The Secret Toy Shop, Santa was at his writing corner, sketching up toy figures for the kids in town. His snowy owl was resting by Santa’s side. The owl was keeping a look out. Through a little door on his desk, on the other side of the wall, mice were running hurriedly, preparing for the seven day Yule feast.
“Hello Lionhart” said the mouse at the small door.
“Hello Celo,” said Lionhart, “busy night?”
“Busy days,” she replied, but he didn’t even look at her, he was busy himself, thoroughly sketching up all the unique toys for the kids so he can get them ready for Christmas, “I see you’re busy yourself, do you need help?”
“Oh, no no, I’m all fine on my own. Thank you for your generosity.”
“Very well.” she said then left, then the owl next to Lionhart called, he hesitantly turned to look behind him.
“Why, hello?” greeted Lionhart to the dark shadow.
“Are you Santa?” the shadow asked.
“Well…You could say that,” he replied.
“Good,” said the dark shadow. Lionhart felt a bit off that he reached for the paper on his desk and touched it, before the dark shadow grabbed a hold of him and pushed him into a red bag. Then on his way out, he grabbed the statue of the Santa Claus by the tree, quickly used magic to finish a letter from the little parchment that Lionhart touched, hung it on the tree, and then left. Afterwards he threw a rock through the window to fake the entire incident as a break-in.
The owl flew forward to the window, then he flew back and transformed into a man. He went and knocked on the little door at the desk, “Celo, Celo,” He whispered loudly for her.
“What is it Blanc?” she asked, “Where did Lionhart go?”
“He got abducted by a creepy looking shadow,” he replied, “Although it was just a shadow, but you know I have very sharp eyes. I was able to take a good look at his figure and he looks to be a middle-aged man, with a creepy looking face, short stature and seemed a bit…deranged.”
Celo tweeted to the other mice, then she jumped off the table and transformed into a woman. Celo walked to the window and looked outside.
“What are we going to do Celo?” Blanc asked.
“Was there any exchange between the man and Lionhart?”
“Yes, before he took Lionhart, he asked Lionhart if he’s Santa.”
“Yes, and Lionhart said that he was –”
“I see,” said Celo, when she saw the letter on the tree, she pulled it down and have a look, but it was blank.
“Nothing?” asked Blanc when he took a look at the letter.
“This letter, is not for us to read,” She said, then putting it back where it was before, “but we must prepare when tomorrow comes, our heroes will appear, and we’ll have to guide them.”
They’ve made it out of Felis, but they’re now battling nature. They’ve come to a place with stormy winter weather all year long. Neither the sun nor the moon ever lit the sky.
“Where are we?!” Xiah shouted to Micky who is steering Harang. They’re sprinting at the speed of one hundred miles per hour, and yet they seem to see no end to this vast winterland. With the blustery winds blowing from all directions, the young heroes were chilled to the bones and couldn’t see any place where they could seek shelter. All they saw was snow; heavy, heavy snow. The Yule fruits that Ricky gave them warmed their bodies from the inside out. Harang was able to wade through the heavy weather with thick round glasses protecting his eyes.
“I don’t know,” answered Micky.
“I think we’re in Winter Wonderland!” said Jiji, “where it always snows and is cold all year long. But it wasn’t this bad the last time I came here, at least it had sunlight!”
“Something is wrong! Winter Wonderland has never had such stormy days!” said Bakira.
“Does Harang know where we’re going?” Hero asked Micky.
“Did you hear that?” Leo asked the others.
“The chilling deathly wind?” asked Tigger, “Why YES!”
“No, now is not the time for jokes Tigger. I mean a very harsh whistling sound,” said Leo.
“Look up!” ordered Pard.
Everyone looked and were startled to see that there was a kettle of vultures. Harang ran faster as soon as he heard the vultures calling. One by one, the vultures drop down from the sky and surround the travelers.
“Guys, I think now is a good time for us to use our gifts!” suggested Hero, hoping that just like when they were crossing the bridge at Dispatch Bridge, they could use their gift of music to remove the vultures from their path. Despite the fact that they’re pressed for time, despite the uncompromising weather, they decided to give the plan a try. They just have to change their musical style according to the situation at hand and they gave it their best shot.
But tried as they might, nothing came out of their mouths. The song they’ve made, the voices that they hoped could stop vultures and heavy weather was gone. It was silent, and the only sound that could be heard in Winter Wonderland was that of the wind accompanied by the whistling of the vultures circling around them.
“What happened?” asked Xiah, but no one was able to answer him. However, they couldn’t just stop trying and wait to become prey. No, they were determined to make it out of that cold stormy Winter Wonderland.
“Well, we’ll just have to do our best with all we’ve got left now!” said Micky, “Come on Harang, give it your best!” Micky brushed the fur on Harang’s neck to tell him to use his full power and speed up.
Harang did so, but up ahead is a cliff. He has to make a huge, giant leap in order to get to the other side. If he stops, then all their efforts will be wasted. If he goes for it, the chances of them falling will be high. Harang slows down a bit, however his master and everyone else urges him to jump. And so he went and took a leap. Harang almost reaches the other side but misses by a few inches and stumbled down to a ledge below. It wasn’t a long way down but everyone was hurt, although with minor scratches. Harang was equally injured and exhausted and Micky hurried to his side, crying and apologizing to his pet for working him so hard. Harang whined while breathing, closing his eyes, catching some rest, but Micky doesn’t stop crying, he was scared that Harang was leaving him.
“He’s alright, just need a bit of a rest and drink,” said Odd, who didn’t talk much from the start but he went over and gave water from his little bag to Harang. “Here you go, drink and you’ll feel better,” He whispered gently while pouring the water into Harang’s mouth.
“We’ve been traveling for hours, we should rest, everyone is tired, furthermore, it has been hours since we’ve finally made it out of that heavy storm,” said Hero while Xiah was hugging his cats. The boys haven’t realized that they’re now back to normal, no more cats claws and wolves ears, but just normal little boys. Their pets however, were still anthropomorphic animals. Hero let out a sigh while Micky stroke Harang’s fur gently, “We’ve lost our gifts, and are lost in the middle of a snowy land, in a realm where we don’t know the way and with no communications, trying to save Santa,” he snorted, “We can’t even save ourselves let alone saving someone so important, we’re just kids!” He was so full of hopes and happiness in the beginning of the journey, but now, he has no more steam to be joyful.
“Well, at least we’ll die knowing we’ve tried,” said Xiah.
“No, we can’t give up, not after what Harang has been through for us, not after we’ve seen how even the mice, and the Snowhawks are helping us, and our brothers! And Santa is waiting for us!”
“But our gifts! They’re gone!” Xiah retorted.
“But –” Micky stopped himself when he saw the light from afar moving toward them, “Who’s there!?” he shouted.
Walking towards them was an elf with a long white beard holding a candle in his hand.
“Well, well, look what I’ve found,” the elf said in his sturdy old voice, “Elves!” he called and a dozen other elves appeared behind him.
The boys were on their feet and moving toward the elves, “You’re an elf?” whispered Micky.
“Why yes,” he replied, “I see you boys are lost…”
“No we aren’t, we’re trying to reach the North Pole! And –”
“I see,” said the old elf, cutting Hero off, “Well then, if you’re trying to reach the North Pole, then you should follow us.” He smiled at the boys and called to his fellow elves to help the weary travelers. Two of the elves carried a sleigh forward for the tired Harang to ride.
“Juno, can you see them?” Ricky asked, he was still on the back of the snowhawk Juno, flying high in the sky.
“No, but I do see some vultures underneath, by a cliff.”
“Should we go down?” Ricky asked again, “Do you think those vultures will follow us?”
“I don’t know, but let’s try,” he made a swoop, and swoosh he went; down the cliff just after the boys left with the Elves, but there was still enough light for them to be able to follow.
“So tell me boys, why are you here?” asked the head elf, “Are you here to see Santa?”
“We heard Santa got kidnapped!” said Hero, “And we decided to go rescue him.”
The head elf laughed, along with the other elves, “Santa? Kidnapped?”
“Why are you laughing? There’s even a letter!” exclaimed Xiah. They thought that the elves were making fun of them, and don’t believe them because they’re just kids, but then Santa laughed joyfully; appearing from behind the elves, as they parted to make way for him.
The boys were speechless, and were unable to speak. They were very confused at this point; their cats, and Harang turned back to just cats and dog after they drank the hot chocolate made by the elves.
“What is this about me being kidnapped?” Santa asked with his twinkling eyes staring at the boys.
“You’re, you’re still here!?” Xiah whispered.
“Of course I’m still here, I have a job to do today you know, so are you boys on the naughty list for you to come see me?” he asked jokingly.
“No Santa! We thought you were kidnapped! There was a letter!” Xiah hurriedly pulled out the letter from his pocket and gave it to Santa, “The Kidnapper was PSM wasn’t it!?”
Santa laughed when he read the letter, “I see, I see,” he sighed then lowered down to them, “It’s true that Santa was kidnapped, but it wasn’t me, it was one of my helpers! Oh poor thing, he was mistaken to be me, but who was the fool that thought it would be that easy to kidnapped Santa?” he asked jokingly then gave a heartily jolly laugh.
“So who was kidnapped?” Hero asked.
“Lionhart!” said Santa, “The owner of The Secret Toy Shop.”
“Him?” they asked in disbelief.
“Yes, he was my helper for many years now, he has very special gifts,” remarked Santa, “You boys must go save him, he’s in great danger, not just him, but your town Sound Bits too.”
There was a moment of silence throughout, “But Santa, we have no gifts left,” whispered Micky, “Our gifts were stolen by PSM during the battle at Felis, I believe.”
The Santa took a moment to think, then laugh, “So what?” he asked, “So what, so what if your gifts were stolen, just create new ones,” he said so casually, but the expressions on the boys’ faces were confused and devastated, “Listen boys,” he sighed, “Gifts comes from within, it’s not something that can easily be stolen. All you have to do is believe in yourself, that comes from the heart, believe in your heart, and it’ll come true,” he said with sparkling eyes at them, “Now, on you go, go back to Sound Bits and save Christmas.”
“But how?” asked Hero.
“Oh right, well…”
“Can we go with you on the sleigh!?” they jumped up and down with grins, and the Santa laughed with his belly shaken. On they jumped into his slay, that had a big bag of presents on the back. The slay fit Santa, an elf, the three boys, seven cats, and Harang very comfortably. Of course some of the cats has to sit in the bag, again, but they don’t mind this time. On their way, the snowhawk Juno and Ricky followed quietly.
PSM made it back to Sound Bits and had decided that at the strike of Midnight, he’ll blow up the town in revenge, but first, he must go around and steal more gifts. After an hour of playing around town, he went back to his tower, The SM Tower, he called it. However, he was stopped by Celo and Blanc, “Come to join my Christmas tradition?”
“You know what’s up PSM, hand over Lionhart!” they demanded.
“Santa is mine!”
“Santa? Lionhart is an owner of a Toy Shop, he’s no Santa!” said Blanc.
“What!? There is no way!”
“Yes way!” shouted the boys, landed on their feet like cats after jumping off Santa’s slay.
PSM saw Santa, and was flabbergasted, how can this be?
“You kids!” he roared, “I thought I’ve finished you!”
“You thought, and yet, here we are!” replied Micky smugly.
“Whatever, you have no power to stop me! I stole all your gifts!” he said proudly.
“Oh yeah!? Well, not all of it, we still have more and more gifts, I’d like to see you try and steal them all!” said Hero.
“Oh yeah?!” he retorted, then sent in the KBS, the vultures, and the cats, all of his armies. But they were stopped by the gang’s cats, dog, and Xiah’s special butt attack that he rarely used. But with his butt, facing the KBS and the vultures, he twirled around cutely, sing a mocking song, hypnotizing them.
“Your turn, Pumpel Stilskin Man!” declared Micky.
“I thought it was President Sue Me!” said Hero.
“No, it was Pimp Sue Man!” said Xiah.
“No it was–”
“IT’S PERILOUS SOUNDEAF MAN!” PSM roared, and the entire place became dead silent.
“You have got to be kidding me!” exclaimed Hero, breaking the silence.
“That’s so lame,” said Xiah, and Micky nodded his head.
“Well, whatever, I’m going to blow up this town and the whole lot of you!”
“Try,” Hero provoked with a smirk, then he pull out his puppy-eyed look, staring straight into PSM’s eyes, trying to –seduce him.
“This is the gift of trolling,” said Xiah with a smile.
And while Hero was putting PSM into a euphoric trance with his eyes, Micky was thinking of what to do next to hurt him, since the gift of Trolling only works if it’s by the two of them, but by the time he got it, his brother Ricky had already done the job. PSM yelled and screamed when a stick was shoved up his butt. He was butthurt! But he managed to run back to his tower, and grumpily, he readied the missile. Ready to target the town’s hall, blowing up the town.
“Oh no! What are we going to do now!?” shouted Xiah.
“Xiah, just sing–”
“Just sing Xiah!”
“SING!” they all shouted, even the cats purred, and the dog bark for him to sing. Then he started with – deck the hall with bows of holly, fa la la la – then once Micky joins in with the chorus, and Hero starts making the music to go along, Xiah switched to – On the first day of Christmas– then Jingle Bell, then all the other Christmas songs at once! It hurt PSM’s ears so badly that instead of lighting the rocket, he covered his ears with his two hands and screamed. The clock struck midnight and Christmas was saved. Sound Bits’ Santa was saved. The four Kingdoms rejoiced; the gifts, decorations, cakes, and everything related to Christmas that was stolen was put right back into place, but the three boys can’t stop singing, they felt obliged to sing every Christmas song from their hearts until their voices goes out.
They lost their voices temporarily the next morning, but they were content; camping in the Yule forest with their pets, enjoying the Yule feast set up by Lionhart, Celo and Blanc.
“If only Wolf could join us,” said Blanc.
“If only,” agreed Celo while Lionhart nodded.
Looking at the interested faces of the boys, Lionhart decided to tell them the story of the Four Kingdoms. And throughout the day, they enjoyed a merry Christmas with new friends and a tale to tell. An experience they’ll never forget.
