Kim Jae Joong proved that he has perfectly changed to become an actor upon receiving the new comer award.
On 2011 SBS Drama Awards live show, “Protect the Boss” Kim Jae Joong received the newcomer award and this proved his success on his transition from singer to actor.
Kim Jae Joong said, “Thank you. I really didn’t know that I’d get an award.” And when he received a response from the live audience for his start-off speech, he continued with, “I’m serious!” and added, “And, now that I’ve received the award, I feel much happier.”
Adding on, he expressed thanks to the staff at his agency, the drama director, drama writer, senior actors and actresses and his family.
Kim Jae Joong added on his speech to his JYJ members saying, “And, I want to thank my JYJ members who should be feeling the happiest now.”
At the end, he said, “Thank you fans who always give (me/JYJ) your support at that place with the same feelings.”
Meanwhile, at the awards show tonight, other than Kim Jae Joong, Seo HyoRim, Ji ChangOk, Jin SeYeon, SungHun, Shin HyunBin, Wang JiHye, Lee JaeYun, Im SuHyang and Gu Hara also received the newcomer award.

its been a tradition..there will be line up that wins the newcomer award .. depends on the judging of the panel..
just like the possibilities of 2person recieving excellence actor/actress awards.. again, depends on the decision..if they do think that they can’t choose between the 2 then they will end up giving it on those 2.
@kimyosa: I’m wondering about it too. Yesterdat at MBC, Yoochun received new comer actor award on stage along with Lee Kikwang. Today at KBS Drama Award, Yoochun are presenting newcomer actor award with three winners, which are Juwon of “Ojakgyo Family”, then an actor from “Smile Donghae”, and the last is an actor from “Dream High”. Is this becoming a trend now to give award for the whole contingent instead of give it to just the one and only “best”?
Regarding this issues, I’ve come to be grateful that last year in KBS Drama Award, Yoochun were given the award of “best” newcomer actor award for only himself.
Anyways, this is just a starting point of Jae, I hope Jae will be more successful, congrats baby Jae!! ^^
My same concern too. I’m itching to comment on the fact that the newcomer award has 10 recipients. Glad Chun had it for himself last year. Anyway, I still feel grateful because Jaejoong is one of the recipients. Agree with you @ai uta, this is just the starting point for him. ^^

Just as we were all complaining yesterday that YC had to share his award with ONE other actor, and now what? … today JJ had to share the “award” with NINE other actors? Wth!!! So agree with you, “Glad Chun had it for himself last year.”!!^^

Yes, now that I remember it, back in 2009 during the glory days of You’re Beautif, there were 10 winners for the Newcomer Award. So yeah, this is how SBS do it.
I kind of like it this way that more ppl get their chance to shine. And I am glad that jj was one of the ten chosen, along with ji hye.

Last year, suju’s siwon , No min woo, t-ara’s eunjung and others won this award. this’s typically SBS strategy for new comer award. But I’am still in shook that Suzy won new comer or rookie award at KBS drama awards. How come she nominated in the first place? I only watched dream high because of eunjung and the main guy(I don’t know his name).
