Group JYJ member and actor Park Yoochun comes back to TV with SBS’s ‘Attic King’.
Drama department director Kim Young Sub at SBS revealed to Star News on January 10th, “Park Yoochun has been confirmed as the male lead character for ‘Attic King’.”
This marks Park Yoochun’s return to drama 8 months after MBC’s ‘Miss Ripley’ has ended in July of 2011. Park Yoochun will be playing the role of the male protagonist Lee Gak on ‘Attic King’ to premier in March this year.
Director Kim said, “The contract has not been signed yet but the verbal agreements have almost been reached. The opposite character has not been cast yet.”
‘Attic King’ is written by Lee Hee Myung and will be directed by Shin Yoon Sub PD.

He’s played Prince Charming types before (the noble aristocrat in Sungkyunkwan Scandaland the chaebol in Miss Ripley), but now Park Yoochun is going to play an actual prince for Rooftop Prince, a new SBS drama to air in March.
The story sounds like a fantasy fusion piece, unfolding around a Joseon-era crown prince who loses his beloved princess. He and his trusty vassals skip forward 300 years into the 21st century.
