Looking back on the path that JYJ has walked until now, being able to stand in front of all of you in this moment right now and to sing with all of our strength, you don’t know how thankful I am, and how much happiness it brings me.
There was a time when it felt like I was in deep tunnel with no end. Maybe we might still be in that tunnel. But we will never fear or become faint hearted. The reason is all of you, that shine brightly on us and have given us your hand; because of all of you that are there for us.

JYJ is able to exist right now because of you. Therefore to meet those expectations, we will continue run without giving up. Even though we can’t see each other all the time, we can feel all of your energies in our hearts. Aside from such beautiful words from JYJ, a thought passed in my head at how these simple words of affection could make someone think that it’s to gain pity. How odd. What JYJ are saying is pretty much reality. JYJ wouldn’t have made it through this far if it weren’t for their amazing fans and JYJ’s strong determination to fight albeit all the sacrifice.

There’s absolutely no point in trying to reason with those people. This time, too, if I come across those who say such things about the above letters, I honestly would just laugh it away. These are not the first letters to fans JYJ have written – they have written so many that I wouldn’t even need the translator to specify who wrote which one. If those people could read the letters written in, say, 2008 or possibly 2006 also, it would be fair if they end up with the same conclusion that DBSK were playing the pity card waaaay back then too LOL. ^^

I think it’s more as a name, and relates not to the desire of becoming part of TVXQ again. But it is not something that appeared out of thin air….:)

Sorry, I don’t! A few YouTube videos was the best I could find, so I made up the flashcards so everyone would have a way to practice. Otherwise, we’re dependent on the workbook exercises others provide.
She was referencing Jae’s twitter and that whole middle part is meant to be sarcastic. Of course they didn’t appear out of nowhere but to some “fans” apparently they must drop everything they ever were or did as TVXQ because “it doesn’t belong to them anymore”. a load of bull basically.
shes not upset lol. but if i saw a comment from someone saying JYJ are looking for pity i would have a strong urge to explode on them. but someone would probably beat me to it. That is why JYJ family is so great.

I’m pretty okay on Hangul, aside from the blended vowels. Eek! I’m just a beginner too, doing my best to present things as I learn them. One of the things I did for reading practice was to read the Hangul lyrics to a (Korean) JYJ song whose lyrics I was familiar with. It was slow and hard, and I usually only looked at a verse at a time before giving up and coming back to it later. But if you have an idea of how a word is supposed to sound before you read it, it can be really helpful in the beginning.

I remember reading the review for “Their Rooms, Our Story” on SeoulBeats or AllKPop (I can’t remember which), and it was full of these sorts of accusations. I found it shocking that someone could construe someone else’s artistic endeavor as a pity play and emotional blackmail to fans. It left me speechless, really.
How can an artist talking about their experience be considered manipulative? Shouldn’t art come from a true place? Perhaps some people would be happier if artists only wrote about emotions that they’d felt vicariously through dramas and other people’s music. In that case, Xerox must be the greatest artist there ever was!

I agree with you. Personally nothing they wrote made me feel they were trying to gain pity. Thier words beautiful and felt sincere. Even though I am a new fan I do agree that if it had not been for the fans strongly believing in and supporting them they would of not made it through this far. Thier fans know the real deal when they see it.
