The singer and actor has also raked in an impressive profit, filming dramas, CFs, promoting overseas and more, and this home is definitely well-deserved. He personally participated in designing the interior of the home.
Fellow member Kim Jaejoong also lives in a $2.6 million dollar penthouse located in the Samsung-dong district. His home comes with a terrace, and boasts over 3,200 sq ft.

Yg is actually good cos they allow creative freedom . I mean , gd owns the patents to his compositions . Also the money is shared equally between the members and agency . Yg is more like a strict school where you are trained diligently , but at the end of the day you get your fair rewards . You don’t see that happening in sm .
TOP probably because he’s a member of a Big Bang and writes most, if not all, his raps in all their songs. Plus his acting ventures. Actors tend to get a lot more money then idols do. Into The Fire and Iris were very well received.
Same thing with Hyun Joong. Member of SS501. Plus he stared in Boys Over Flowers which was huge in SK and other Asian countries. Back when he was promoting BOF, his company was working him like a dog and milking everything he was worth.
Just desserts for income well EARNED. You work hard for the money, you get paid, and get to spend it on what YOU want. NICE. Love everything about this piece. It advertises what can be accomplished on your own merits, and not having some undeserving management company take all YOUR money for THEIR profit. YES!, that is the crux of the matter. This company is chugging along on fumes. They DO NOT have the money to pay JYJ. Sure, they’re making money, but the bulk of that money is going into shareholders pockets. Anyone who thinks SME is rolling in the dough is not paying attention. I understand they are dragging their heels with the lawsuit because of hurt feelings. I get it that making the decision to pay up for both the compensation and the fine, is a morale buster. But that’s how the cookie crumbles…someone has to win, someone has to lose. SME, you lost, pay up!
But the courts and the KFTC need to stop coddling SME and get this over with. The longer they go on in this fashion, the worse SK’s image gets internationally. Now maybe they don’t care, but at some point in time, it will have to matter. Because then people begin to wonder how good is your word. To me, this is not a good place to be in, but hey, it’s their choice. However, choices have consequences.

My sister, the population that frequents AKP is simply not capable of dealing with reality. First off, I’m willing to bet not a ONE of them actually WORKS for a living. Or at the very least, the number who actually do work, has to be minimal. You simply cannot have a job, work for a salary/wage and say/ask something that STUPID! But then again, that is why those folks are where they are, and JYJ is where they are.

Yes my sister, trying to fix stupid is like trying to disprove a negative…CAN’T BE DONE. If anyone is inclined to converse with said, ‘not so bright bulbs in the box’, you might want to remind them of this VERY large fact. JYJ is LARGE & IN CHARGE. They pay the agency because they now have the rights to EVERYTHING….music, appearances, acting, MVs, PVs, and CFs, etc. Their cut is the LARGEST. Then they pay their bills, the rest is gravy.
If they think it is so bad of JYJ to reap the benefits of all their hardwork, well then they are really in for a rude awakening. Because this is the way it will be from now on. I like this line about Yuchun’s home “this home is definitely well-deserved”. When you look at how hard these boys worked over the last 2 years, it is hard to complain about how much money they have.n Yuchun works so hard he has been in the hospital several times.
When I read about the things they have, I always think like an accountant. Just in case they have some monetary damage in the lawsuit outcome, the court is not likely to take away their home, their cars, their family’s cars, their boat, etc. What they will take is their cash. I keep thinking that they are investing their income in ways that will secure it from being taken from them. So not only are they the nicest, most talented, most handsome people anywhere, they are also smart.
Lisa, I don’t know how SK legal codes work, but here in the States, assets can be taken. The Feds do it all the time to drug dealers. International law permits accounts to be frozen. What makes a game changer is placing those assests in the name of a spouse, a child, or relative who is not party to the legal action. But the main point is…JYJ is not going to lose. The issue now is how much SME has to cough up for compensation. That’s why they are stalling, and even came up with that BOGUS can we all get along diatribe that Attorney Yim blew off.

LOLOL That IS a good one. Where do they come up with these?? There is nothing “luxurious” about any aspect of being an SM idol singer. They know only too well that they are worked like pack mules and crowded into tiny apartments to live. (We all saw the DBSK videos on YouTube when they showed their “new” communal apartment. (God only knows how bad their living conditions were before that.) They had ONE bedroom for all five. There was literally nothing else in the room but the five mattresses–that was all the space there was. Most importantly, SM idol singers own NOTHING. Everything they have really belongs to the company and can be re-possessed at any time, which JYJ found out the hard way. And remember, DBSK was the biggest, most successful act SM had or ever will have. Everyone else still there now is living in DBSK’s shadow, living in reduced circumstances in other words, to the shabby conditions that DBSK the supergroup were living in before the split when they were at the height of their popularity. It is a PREPOSTEROUS misconception to assert anything other than this.

This exact scenario is happening to Brian Joo RIGHT NOW. Hwanhee left for the army earlier this year but in any case they were no longer a team. But Fly To The Sky got to “that age” and were dumped by SM. Now mind you–Brian is GREAT. Really and truly a great singer with great song sense and strong producing abilities. Here’s his latest video, btw.) He is struggling hard to re-gain a foothold on a career and as good as all of his post-FTTS product has been (and it has been) he’s having a really tough time of it.

As bad as all the lavish expenditures flowing out the door to various vendors are, the real problem is SM’s “creative accounting” system, where at the end of the year it’s, “Ooohhh, so sorry, you didn’t make anything much.” My theory is that SM is also getting kickbacks from each and every vendor, btw. These kids are getting robbed every which-way, every day and it’s just kind of sickening. And the “good sons” stay harnessed in their traces and continue to pull the load.
“OT5 only” people want JYJ to return to that Hellhole so they can resume spazzing at concerts. That’s why we will never see eye-to-eye.

Being super star in Asia for years, none of the member could afford a house in 2008(how many oricon no.1 have they achieved that year?) I remember yuchun need to borrow(they called it prepaid, yuchun needed to pay interest to SM, this was a loan shark behavior) from SM in order to purchase a flat so that he could live with his bro and mother who came back from the states. This was recorded in the court case document, i read it somewhere
