[NEWS] 120221 JYJ Kim Junsu’s ticket power, 3.4 billion Won! ‘The next Jo Seungwoo’

Group JYJ’s member Kim Junsu made a meteoric rise as “the next Jo Seungwoo.”

All the tickets of Kim Junsu’s 20 shows of musical ‘Elisabeth,’ which started on 8th, were sold out as soon as the ticket sale has started. This means 34,000 tickets of the hall with 1,700 seats were sold out in around ten minutes. Considering the average ticket price is 100,000Won (89USD), 3.4billion Won (3,026,257 USD) flowed in an instant.

Kim Junsu made contract for 30 shows with the production company of ‘Elisabeth.’ Ticket sale for 10 shows in April and May has not begun yet. They, however, would be sold out with current trend. Thus, we can calculate that musical fans spent around 5.1 billion won (30 shows x 17000 seats x100,000Won) (4,539,385USD) to watch the shows of Kim Junsu.

Kim Junsu’s musicals ‘Mozart,’ ‘Tears of Heaven,’ and ‘Elisabeth’ continue to be sold out. We can confirm Kim Junsu’s position in Musical industry regarding the fact that tickets of shows of  Song Changui and Ryu Junghan (2 other cast of Tod for ‘Elisabeth’) are not sold out yet.

[NEWS] 120220 Park Yoochun fandom donated 13 million won to support ‘Rooftop Prince’

Fans of JYJ Park Yoochun supported his SBS drama ‘Rooftop Prince’ through donation activities.

3 fansites Mickyfan.com, Park Yoochun’s Nanal, and Blessing Yoochun united to form ‘Park Yoochun Fan Union’ and donated to Naver Happy Bean campaign with the wish for the success of ‘Rooftop Prince’.

According to related persons, through this donation activity, 13 million won were collected in total (5 million in cash and 8 million of rice, noodles and other articles).

Although they haven’t confirmed the exact beneficiary, but they plan to give help to the elderly living alone in winter and the study rooms for low-income people, as well as the neighbors in need.

[NEWS] Kim Jaejoong Confirmed to be in “Time Traveling Dr. Jin” with Song Seung Hun

JYJ’s Kim Jaejoong is confirmed to be cast in the drama ‘Time Traveling Dr.Jin’.

Along with Song Seung Hun, Kim Jaejoong is expected to play Kim Kyung-tak, a military (naval) officer in Joseon Dynasty in the drama ‘Time Traveling Dr.Jin’ that will be aired on the 1st half of 2012.

In the drama, Kim Kyung-tak is the descendant of a military family and is the best naval officer of Joseon Dynasty. His pride is strong and he has a high competitive spirit but he is also a romanticist who loves only one woman that he has fallen for from his childhood. He will get into a fateful confrontation with Dr. Jin-hyuk (Song Seung Hun) who travels back to the past from 21st century

[NEWS] 120220 JYJ’s Documentary “The Day” Selling Like Hot Cakes

JYJ’s documentary “The Day” had problems finding an outlet to show but now that they have overcome that hurdle, everything is gravy!

“The Day” will release in theaters in Lotte Cinema theaters on February 23. According to “KOFIC” (Korean Film Council) the reservations of movie tickets is #1 at nearly 45% [share of ticket sales]. Lotte Cinema is very surprised at the current results. A representative stated, “We knew that there were a lot of JYJ fans, however we didn’t know that they would have this much influence. We are receiving calls from overseas fans as well.”

This is the only moment: Kim Junsu

I went to the musical “Elisabeth” the night before interviewing him. It was the first performance by Kim Junsu, who stood tall as a JYJ member and a musical actor. The audience became breathless as if the air had disappeared when Junsu appeared as the captivating “Tod” with platinum blond hair. Kim Junsu with intense charisma and husky voice explosively proved himself every second, minute and moment. What I saw was free but passionate youth. Kim Junsu, during our first exclusive interview with him, proved he is a smart man who guides his own destiny during his honest conversation with us.

-Yesterday was your first time for “Elisabeth.” How do you feel?

It was quite burdensome because European musical is unfamiliar to us [Koreans] and “Elisabeth”, especially, has more lyrical elements. I think it is special because it also contains fantasy. Although people’s expectations were too high and I felt more burdens on my shoulders, I feel really satisfied as I finished the first performance. I feel exhilarated that I can make drama with the best actors and actresses.

-Did you feel the fans? The audience’s reaction was the most passionate during the curtain call. It felt like a concert.

I can feel them during the curtain call, but not during the show. They seem to be too cautious and feel diffident thinking ‘can I clap?’ I wish they will feel more comfortable because they don’t need to stand on too much on formality for musical.

-People in Europe, the home of this musical, and those who visited Europe to watch the musical are most ardent about the character ‘Death.’ 

I heard the one who acts as ‘Death’ usually gets number one when people vote for the popularity of musical actors in Austria. Thus, stars of that country usually acted as Tod. I obviously considered Mozart was the best character (because I performed “Mozart”). Before, I could not understand why Tod was popular when Elisabeth is the main character of the show. Tod is attractive because he is not a human, but a god, and can describe something human cannot show.
