[NEWS] 120308 JYJ issues official apology + discusses their South American concerts

JYJ attended a press conference before their first ever South American concert on March 8th (local time), and addressed the controversy surrounding the group, and their thoughts about holding their first South American concert.

The group has found themselves the most talked about topic of the week with audio files, recorded back in 2009, belatedly being revealed to the public on March 6th.

The members entered the press conference with dark expressions on their faces. The boys began by revealing some of the hardships they had endured due to the actions of sasaeng fans. “Ever since debuting in 2004, we suffered from sasaeng fans everyday for eight years.”

Yoochun stated, “Having someone watching me every second, and following me around wanting to share every thing, is like being in a prison without bars.”

Junsu also added sadly, “They exposed all our phone calls, GPS-tracked our cars and secretly chased us around, and even frequently broke in and took pictures of our personal items. They even tried to kiss me while I was sleeping, and they even caused a minor collision between their taxi and the car we were in to try to see my face. A fear choking the breath out of me would wash over me everyday, and I just want to at least live like a person through this indescribable suffering.”

The group then issued an official apology for causing their fans to worry with the outbreak of the controversy. Jaejoong, stated, “I’m sorry for my wrong doings in the past… I’m sorry that many fans have been heart-sick due to this issue. From now on, no matter how mentally hard, or how far beyond the limit the situation is, we will think about all the people who love us, and for them we will not falter and fulfill our responsibility as public figures.”

Even though there are so many words and expressions, why is it that Jaejoong’s has become the most frightening and depressing one? However, there aren’t just sasaengs around Jaejoong. I recall something he once said before, ‘I’ll sing even if there is just one person who will listen to my music and protect me’

Thus he is very thankful and is able to continue to sing. Right now Jaejoong is singing for those fans and is doing so happily. He isn’t singing for sasaengs, correct? Translator’s note: In the end, his sister says that though Jaejoong cannot sing in his own country, so long as he can sing anywhere for his fans is great. The fact that he did not give up being a singer makes her proud and she really enjoys listening to his songs.

[NEWS] 120308 JYJ Assault Controversy: Kim Jaejoong’s Official Apology “Even in Extreme Situations, I Will Be More Responsible”

Kim Jaejoong has released an official apology concerning the sasaeng assault controversy that has surfaced in the past couple of days.

On March 8^th (local time) Kim Jaejoong and the other JYJ members held a press conference in Santiago, Chile at the Raddison Hotel for the JYJ 2012 Latin America tour. During this conference, the members opened up about the sasaeng controversy.

The members confessed that ever since they debuted in 2004, they have had to endure extremely painful moments because of sasaeng fans.

JYJ’s Kim Junsu even stated “they use our identification to expose our private phone calls and also place GPS trackers on our cars to monitor our every move. There were instances of breaking and entering where fans would take pictures of us while sleeping, try to kiss us, and steal our private items. Some fans even hired taxis to collide into our cars to see us in person.”

“Our lives began to fall apart as we would be groped, touched, and defiled every moment of the day. We, as humans, should at least be able to ask for a bare minimum standard of living, but instead we are forced to live in indescribable pain”.

[NEWS] 120308 JYJ in Chile: “We Will Prepare a Spectacular Show”

Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu demonstarted before the Chilean media that “music is a language without borders and unites them all”.

At the end of the 2011-2012 World Tour by popular South Korean K-Pop group, JYJ, the group arrived to Santiago, Chile to present a concert before thousands of fans.

According to them, this tour through South America has a special meaning for them, for they have produced these concerts specifically for their Latin American fans.

“We are very delighted to have been able to keep our promise to our fans and will prepare a spectacular show to correspond with the passion of Latin America,” remarked the K-Pop idols before the press.

“The countries are very distant from each other, it’s a 30 hour flight. Also, even though the countries are very far from each other, we have always believed to have been very close,” they further added.

During the press conference, the boys voiced their opinion against piracy, arguing that the issue not only “affects” them as a group, but also other groups who strive to succeed.

In regards to Chile, Jaejoong, Yoochun y Junsu confessed that had imagined a very different country. The artists felt that the metropolitan capital was actually a rather calm town.

One of the characteristics that has really grabbed their attention is the Chilean culture. For example, they mentioned the reaction of a fan who was waiting anxiously for them at the airport and upon seeing them coming, came to embrace them warmly, a practice not common on the other side of the world.

The members of JYJ stated that they did not expect to find such a large number of fans. The South Korean idols are happy to see that the K-Pop has expanded successfully into the world.

Finally, they emphasized that for them music is a language without borders “that unites all.”

[PICS+NEWS] 120308 Korean Group Is In Awe With The Chilean Landscape

On their first visit to Chile, JYJ commented on their experience with their fans and how happy they feel regarding their concert in Santiago.

“The view of the hotel is stunning, I have never seen it before (referring to the mountains).  I have noticed that is calm, different from what people think in Korea,” Yoochun stated during a press conference today at the Hotel W. In addition, the members talked about the delay of their flight to this country and also about the love that fans have sent them with kisses and hugs.

The group consists of Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu, musically debuted as part of another group called TVXQ* in 2003 with two other singers. JYJ has officially been around as a group since 2010 and together they have achieved several successes, such as their single with American musician, Kanye West and a topping world charts with their album sales.

The boys will perform a solo concert at the Caupolican Theatre this Friday, March 9 with the support of six dancers. Their last stop in South America will be in Peru. Both VIP and Preferred tickets are sold out.

[NEWS] 120308 JYJ Is Thankful For First Visit In Chile

At 4 PM this Thursday, the group held a press conference where Jaejoong, Yoochun and Junsu posed in front of cameras and gave thanks for being in this country.

The popular JYJ trio is currently in Chile to hold their long-waited for concert on Friday, March 9 at the Caupolicán Theatre.

For this reason, the group appeared before national media for a press conference where they discussed their trip and other topics.

At 4 PM,  Jaejoong, Yoochun y Junsu posed in front of cameras and gave thanks for being in Chile.

Despite being in the country for only few hours, during the event, the group commented on how much they were surprised by the Chilean culture.

Also, Junsu expressed his views on music piracy, a controversial issue, to which the group assured that “music is a language that unites all.”

In addition, the group has scheduled a second performance in South America on Sunday, March 11 in Lima, Peru.
