Q. You were in an idol group ‘Focuz’, how did you decide to choose musical as another challenge?
A. I had loved singing and dancing very much and before I had a wish to be an actor because my mother was an actress. I thought the genre that includes all these things (singing, dancing and acting) is musical and it is the stage that I can express my talents. I wanted to start at the very bottom as a trainee. But I had no chance at all, then JYJ Jaejoong hyung contacted me unexpectedly. Before I had talked a lot that I want to do musical, then Jaejoong hyung-nim had kept it in mind and told me ‘Why don’t you take an audition? There’s a good role.’ I am really thankful. He is like the savior of my life.

The musical ‘Elisabeth’ has received much passionate love from the audience and took the first spot on the sales ranking chart. Whenever the reservation for tickets starts, every show of Kim Junsu, who is playing the role ‘Death’ in the musical, would be sold out in an instant. The accumulated attendance for Kim Junsu’s ‘Elisabeth’ is expected to surpass 20,000 on March 21 with his 12th show at Blue Square, Hannam-dong, Seoul.
‘Elisabeth’ is a story of love between a member of the Austrian imperial family of Hapsburg – Queen Elisabeth, and a fantasy character, ‘Death’. With a solid story, beautiful music and perfect harmony, the musical has received love from 9 million audiences all around the world for 20 years. This time, Kim Junsu was the one who took the role of the charismatic and transcendental ‘Death’.
In every show, Kim Junsu always gives out 120% of his energy on stage and was praised as a ‘genius’ by the original author, the producer and the music director of the musical. Ottogi Giseumyun’s sales index is on a steady rise after the brand was launched last November.
According to Ottogi on March 15, after the release of Giseumyun on November 10 last year, 6 million packets was sold in merely 20 days. Giseumyun’s sales exceeded 7.5 million packets in December and 7 million in January. The highest recorded sales were in February with 8 million packets sold. Particularly, following the favorable trend of Giseumyun’s sales, after 4 months, sales of all Ottogi’s ramyun increased by 18% in comparison with sales from last year. Particularly, Giseumyun was the main driver of the increase of Ottogi ramyun’s sales.

Junsu: If I put it down… I think my feminine side will stand out too much in the play, while if I put it up, my masculine side will stand out… There’s not much in it but I think that will make a difference with how I will be felt while having the play.. though I don’t know how the others see it but… I think~ uhmmm

[NEWS] Park Yoo Chun Leaves Brother Park Yoo Hwan a Heartfelt Message
Following the loss of their father, JYJ’s Park Yoo Chun expressed his brotherly love and appreciation towards his younger brother, Park Yoo Hwan. On March 21, Yoo Chun tweeted, “To the person I love most in the world, Yoo Hwan. Let’s live an awesome life. I’m always grateful for you, and I love you.” The heartfelt message moved many fans, who were heartbroken over the recent circumstances regarding JYJ’s sasaeng fans and Yoo Chun’s loss.
Yoo Chun and Yoo Hwan’s father passed away last week on March 14, and both brothers canceled their schedules to lay their father to rest, as well as to mourn. While it was expected that he would return to filming SBS’s “Rooftop Prince” on March 19, Yoo Chun returned earlier than anticipated on March 17.
