JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong honestly expressed his feelings recently.
On March 23, Kim tweeted the expressive words, “I’m almost ready to go back.”
He added, “I thought I was the strongest man but I feel shame at myself because I’m crumbling to dust. I’m sorry to disappoint the people who have supported me.”
“While I was reflecting upon myself, I thought about thousands of things. Even though there is a saying that young people suffers because they are young, I think I should have some more time to suffer.”
JYJ is currently having a hard time due to the controversy over assaulting the ‘sasaeng fans’ and Park Yoo Chun’s father’s death.
People responded: “Everything will go by someday. Don’t be too hard on yourself.” “I hope you don’t get hurt anymore.” “Suffer little and feel better soon.”

JYJ’s Jaejoong Apologizes to Fans for Latest Controversy
JYJ’s Jaejoong tweeted an apologetic message on March 23, leaving many fans worried over the serious tone of his tweet.
“I thought I was the strongest, but to see myself collapse so easily makes me feel so poor and miserable. I’m so ashamed of myself and feel sorry to everyone who always supported me.. I thought about thousands of things during the time I looked back at myself. They say, ‘Youth, It’s painful’.. But I think it might be a good idea to have some more time to be painful,” Jaejoong wrote.
Today’s message is all the more concerning as it came on the same day as Junsu’s mysterious tweet that said, “I’m sick.” In the picture Junsu shared, he looked extremely thin and pale, making fans wonder if the recent sasaeng fan controversy has taken a toll on the group members.
JYJ has been making headlines lately with the whole sasaeng fan controversy, which was followed up by the sudden death of Yoochun’s father. It’s hard to say what prompted Jaejoong to tweet the above message, but we hope he finds the strength to pull through!

Leave it to the press to headline with the most inflammatory part of his message without any context. Makes it look like another admission of guilt and apology for the sasaeng controversy rather than talking about his depression. The press is going to drive the boys off twitter if they keep this up.

Hi my friend, Don’t worry about it for a moment. I’d never ask anyone to do more than they can do and I completely understand what you’re talking about: going to those sites is like entering the lion’s den. Still, when articles like the ones that came out today on both sites at once (imagine that…) that are just so obviously biased and misleading and damaging to Jae (or at least they are attempting to be) I just feel that I must say something of an alternate view. I always try to be polite, fat lot of good it usually does me. But today, I couldn’t help but notice that the tide has really turned in favor of Jae. At least it had as of this morning. I’ve only had one response to my post and it wasn’t a bash it was more of an observation of semantics, which I answered nicely. I think that the public at large has gotten the message that this whole episode was a smear campaign against Jaejoong.
I see. I am happy of this update then Truth shall come out and we never lose hope of this fact. Thank you so much friend, take good care 🙂

God, I hate the way Soompi and Allkpop (and many others) are twisting his words to make it seem like its solely about or directed to the sasaeng controversy. However, I am very happy that the majority of the comments are supportive or can see the tweet in the light Jaejoong intended.

See this in it of itself speaks volumes to Kim Jae Joong’s character! This takes courage people. He could’ve just posted a simple tweet like “Okay, everybody. I am back.. sorry to make you worry.. thanks for your kind words.” That’s what an “ordinary” person would do…wth truth be told… that’s what MOST of us would have done in this situation.
But JJ clearly DEMONSTRATES that he feels and most of all wants to be connected to JYJ fans. And BTW this is NOT an APOLOGY for the Saseang “controversy” as Soompi and the other SK media outlets are now (yes again) trying to make this into.
This is a message from his heart to those he knows love and support him, to those who may have been concerned by his absence. It’s personal and most of all revealing, be HIS OWN CHOICE. JJ chooses to expose his heart even though he knows very well his words will again be twisted, misunderstand, misinterpreted by the haters and media for their own agenda.
Yet he tweets anyway and more than that… he bares his soul! I so agree with your post, my friend. I too was in a rage this morning reading the endlessly negative slant that sites like Soompi and AKP give to this latest story. Yet all the comments I saw were favorable to Jae – that made me feel slightly better.
I said elsewhere the the only thing this twitter comment does is show that Jaejoong is one that engages in self-reflection and strives in all ways to be a better man. This shows to me that he is an evolved and wonderful man. Really, the way he has conducted himself has been exemplary in all respects. So to have to read these news stories with these inflammatory headlines…. really it’s just too much sometimes. 😦

He is talking to his supporters about his extended absence over the past 11 days. How could you read that tweet and not get that message Soompi?

Well, I’ve been doing a bit of thinking about that – that was the question I had too…. WHO are these people writing these “news articles” about JYJ? And yes, as you said, why only JYJ? A three or four year old alleged incident involving Jaejoong that was never even reported or looked at by the police or the prosecutor is hardly what I would call ”news”; why wasn’t it followed up at the time if it was so heinous? Well, probably because SME hushed the whole thing up – JYJ was still DBSK at that point. How many of their other acts’ “horrendously offensive deeds” have they suppressed, insisting on the media looking the other way, one wonders? And if they have been so successful at suppressing their acts’ wrongdoing all of these years, is it much of a stretch to imagine that they could “encourage” the writing of damaging articles among these same easily co-opted pals of theirs in the media? Not really.
One other random thought – why hasn’t anyone said anything about SM’s role in the cover-up and suppression of this alleged act of violence against “a fan” I wonder? Wouldn’t they be complicit after the fact in any way? Apparently NO ONE in Korea thinks so. And I’m STILL waiting to hear exactly where this story originated from in the first place. That would certainly be interesting.

If you look closely this thing with JYJ is bigger and uglier than we truly imagine. It’s about this thing called the Korean Wave.
Simply put the Korean Wave is “the spread of South Korean “culture” around the world.” By some accounts it was “responsible $4.5 billion dollars in revenue for South Korea through what is termed cultural exports in 2011.”
And we all know… K-POP is a very large part of the Korean Wave.

JYJ upset not just SME but the whole “K-Pop apple-cart.” They exposed that dark side of a way of doing business that the SK Government tacitly accepts and condones because it is part of the Korean Wave which overall generates $4.5 billion dollars in revenue for the country. With the filing of the lawsuit JYJ became the pimple that grew right on the beautiful face of the so called Korean Wave.
They’ve become a threat to the national agenda. And it seems that everyone got the “memo from the Blue House” and is on board to take them down. Yet all the players have their own agenda.. SMEs using it as a means to keep their “slaves” in line and media outlets to generate numbers for more ad revenue.
So its no surprise KBS refused to call their name and substituted the word K-Pop 28 times when reporting on JYJs stand alone concert in Peru…. See in the end its ALL about the MONEY, GREED, POWER.

Okay yes.. you are down in the trees while I am up above the forest. Yes.. if one is looking only from SME’s private agenda.. then yes… JYJ is being used as a scapegoat to keep a tight rein on K-Pop. But this point has been discussed to death. I’ve been perplexed as to why there seems to be some sort of wide conspiracy that seems to span across multiple entertainment industries and the media outlets. Does SME truly have that kind of power to terrorize companies NOT to work with JYJ? If so then how are they able to do so unchecked in what is supposed to be a free-market economy? My point was that SK has embraced the Korean Wave as a part of its national agenda. That national agenda involves the spread SK cultural around the world. The method to make this happen is what’s called the Korean Wave. The goal is to enhance the SKs image in the global arena. And in doing so the side benefit has been that it generates billions of dollars in revenue for South Korea! So now it’s about the MONEY BIG MONEY!
K-pop is a BIG part of the Korean Wave. So the SK Government, embracing the Korean Wave means they embrace K-Pop. The SK Government sees it as a good thing. Any business selling or servicing the commodities that are part of the Korean Wave is bound to be embraced by the SK government.
So if that’s the case anyone trying to upset that Wave is a threat. The JYJ lawsuit against SME; who I imagine is the darling of the SK government as it is the biggest producer of K-Pop in SK; would be a threat to the KW. Because the lawsuit exposed how SME does business and in doing so showed the SK society that the darling of the Korean Wave i.e. – K-pop is a dark ugly beast.
So, really if SME is SKs Korean Wave darling… then guilt by association. Think that the SK government wants to see SME brought down? Would you want to stop a train that brings you $4.5 billion dollars in revenue? So what’s the message to everyone? HANDS OFF SME! Notice there is absolutely NO negative marketing or reporting about SME. NOTHING! Why is that? Who would have the power to let it be known that SME should be left alone?

This is why I immediately noticed when Eric from Shinhwa spoke up. I remember when he was asked what he thought about JYJ’s situation, his response was along the lines of: you have to win in order to survive.
Not to draw up comparisons between JYJ and Shinhwa, but Eric’s response further confirmed to me that the industry (SM in particular) really plays dirty and they will do anything to drag their target down. ANYTHING.

@Friend of JYJ, you are so right. The headline had nothing to do with his tweet. Jae’s tweet was to his fans, and not about this issue; per usual, his words are twisted :(. All these sites are the same, because they know JYJ will drive traffic to their site. I too used the word whipping boys last week, because these continued attack on JYJ has been ongoing for a while. These same sites will post just a few words about JYJ if it is positive news, but will devote multiple posts to negative news. It’s sad that no one in SK will take a stand, even as the truth is so blatantly obvious. I feel even worse that Jae thinks he needs to apologize to his fans.

Yes I felt that too.. outrage, pain and disgust, after seeing the headline and reading Soompi twist and insinuate that JJ and Junsu were at their breaking point. I just don’t get how cold and heartless these people can be.

First thing when I woke up this morning, I open JYJ3 site. Not wanting to miss anything regarding Jaejoong. Still feeling dazed and recovering from yesterdays excitement. Reading again JJ tweet ….makes my eyes teary. So sweet, honest genuine and humble. And I love him more for that.
The painful waiting is over and now he’s ready to come back to us. I wish him ***. His self-esteem and courage always amaze me. It is his right to be what state he’s in now (to have sometimes for him self ..recuperating and regaining his strength) and yet he apologize to us for making us worry. Aren’t you loving him for that.

it’s very nice on Jaejoong’s part to say sorry because he thought he’d made his fans worried. However, he doesn’t need to and none of us was seeking for an apology from him. I hope the media stops twisting his words and misleading readers who are not sure about the situation. I feel that the 2 articles above don’t suit the original purpose of Jae’s tweets. If one wants to see a big contrast in what’s been happening to JYJ as opposed to other groups, ALL anyone has to do is look at the way the entertainment press in SK treats every other act in K-Pop that they feel is even worthy to be written about. It’s ALL jolly, happy-happy mindless fluff. It’s never deep, it’s never insightful, it’s never about anything more important than new hairstyles and who showed up where for a photo op. It’s relentlessly, maddeningly FLATTERING to the celebrities in question. Then look at what has been happening to JYJ, what has been written about JYJ’s members. Character assassination is not too strong a term. So THAT’S when you have to ask yourself – who’s behind this?
I can understand what you mean but you know that to puersue greatness in this world we need to overcome the obstacles and not let them defeat us, JYJ know that and they will conquer after all the evilness, I have my hopes in that!

Press always love to twist a story in a way to get more views. For me, i simply stop reading soompi, 6theory, akp, n other gossip medias u name it..they r not journalist, not real press. I hope everyone here will not visit their site as well, it only makes us furious and give them the ‘hits’ that they want.

This is such a classic example of blaming and shaming the victim, while the real shame belongs to the stalkers and the “invisible hand” that uses them to manipulate the public. It truly reflects poorly on the Korean public if they fail to realize that.
Jaejoong merely had a normal reaction to an extremely abnormal situation. This whole thing is just driving me bananas……..if not for JYJ I don’t think I’d ever want to any attention to anything Korean from this point on. I am just too disgusted.

All we can do, all we MUST do at all costs is to show SM every way we possibly can that none of their attempts to tarnish and destroy JYJ have worked, none of them. They have ALL failed. And now the only new thing that has happened is that their own reputation in the industry has been irreparably damaged. They are dishonorable and they richly deserve what is surely coming to them. When that lawsuit finally gets settled, I predict it will be the beginning of the end for them.

I have to be honest to say, I can never be the man that he is for his heart is so big, it can contain the world.
