One word: WHOA! Stunning news. Maybe Junsu can break this unfair and illegal impasse the guys have pushed against for the last 2 years and counting… this is amazing.
I agree, absolutely stunning news! To have a government, be it a city, and a large and influential one at that, backing Junsu is fantastic.
I hope that’s the ice starting to crack, and once it starts, no stopping it…think avalanche, a force of nature that covers and buries everything in its path, and my bloodthirsty hope is that it heads straight for SM. 😉
@lilibaiyu
indeed friend – i have to check several times if indeed this came from Seoul Metropolitan Government
These are huge steps, amazing!
Yes, i pray that this will be the beginning for JYJ 🙂
Hello @eljay
“I hope that’s the ice starting to crack, and once it starts, no stopping it…think avalanche…” – keeping my hopes and prayers for this too 🙂
YES! SO HAPPY FOR JUNSU! 😉
BUT I LIVE IN SPAIN 😦
wow this is just the kinds of news we have been waiting to hear and see!
whoa…
what a surprise…
yes, with each step JYJ blows a huge hole into the unfair blacklisting that has been placed on them
@Lisan
Hi there! 🙂 It was only a matter of time before the media could say enough with this! These guys have and audience a BIG one and by ignoring them…. we are taking a loss. See in the world of business it’s all about the money.
So whether its about selling products, selling newspapers or magazines or generating TRAFFIC for your web site
the JYJ Brand is a global brand that gets a response!
See if Junsu can get these kind of results with little or NO advertising…. WELL TIME TO WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE
MEDIA!!!!
@A Friend Of JYJ
Ahhh… it’s a happy, happy day. Leave it to the maknae, cute little Angel Xiah to blow the doors off the blockade and get things moving again! We will all love him forever for that. Among other things.
🙂

This is a man with immense confidence of his amazing abilities. And I’m proud of him.
@Shadow..
So true… and the funny thing is I think Junsu was always confident in his abilities, but now he KNOWS he can overcome adversity.
When you’ve conquered one mountain… it gives you the confidence to try to climb an even higher mountain. And I don’t me that he feels assured that he will succeed I mean he has the CONFIDENCE TRY again. He has the confidence to constantly push himself to go where he has never gone before… Yes we are so proud of him! 🙂
@A Friend Of JYJ
@Shadow
And Junsu has always been the one brave enough to directly address the boycott and how difficult and hurtful it has been for them.
Always. Jae and Chunnie have always used very measured speech and oblique phrases to refer to it and only in passing. Junsu has I think felt it most keenly and has said so, many times. Isn’t it fitting then that the squeaky wheel is getting the oil and people are finally sitting up and taking notice of the fact that this GREAT ARTIST, maybe the greatest S. Korea has ever seen, is banned in his own home country from actively promoting his activities because of the greed and vindictiveness of one criminal entertainment company?
@A Friend Of JYJ
I don’t know WHAT the problem is here but I can never see any of the photos you’ve been posting. Is anyone else having this problem and what are you doing to solve it?
@lilibaiyu…
Okay you know you mentioned this to me before… Go to my Twitter and follow me… I think I know what the problem is…
@A Friend of JYJ
OK, I thought I was following you but what’s your Twitter name?
@A Friend Of JYJ
Don’t you LOVE it? I am loving every second of this!
@lilibaiyu
I’m like Willi Wonka sleeping in the chocolate factory day and night!!!!!! 🙂
I’m frolicking in melted chocolate. JYJ has friends/fans in HIGH PLACES.
Now, WHAT MUSIC WILL YOU LISTEN TO?!
Losers aka SM, KBS, etc —– Terror of Tarantallegra
JYJ Family—– Triumph of Tarantallegra
Please stop promoting this… Junsu & JYJ are being USED once again to promote KPOP. Below was my response when Seoul Korea posted it:
There’s just something “wrong” about Korea promoting Kpop with JYJ/Junsu bait. Maybe when JYJ and/or Junsu are allowed to promote & perform freely in their own country, I’ll get more excited about having a Kpop concert in mine…
FREE Junsu ticket isn’t even for his Korean concert… how ironic.
@dbullock
I know what you are saying but for me this new avenue of addressing the issue is a good thing. Here is what I posted on the Seoul Korea Facebook page re this article:
” PLEASE let this be the first step to end the terrible, unfair boycott perpetrated by SM to shut down the careers of JYJ. It has been 2 years of constant, illegal harassment, complications and disappointments for everything they try to accomplish in SK – it’s patently unfair and it’s wrong. JYJ are the Good Guys. They are a national treasure, not someone to be banned in their own belived country. I pray this step by the Seoul govt. will be the beginning of the end of the ban.”
Let’s let our voices be heard here. Let’s take every opportunity to speak out. I feel the walls about to come tumbling down!
And I hear what you are saying but after two years of writing every Korean government agency & official I could find info on, I’m tired of this bulls***t.
Every interview Junsu has made in the last couple of years, he has never failed to bring up this issue. He knows how important it is to keep reminding everyone about this because people have a tendency to ignore or forget what’s not put in their face from time to time.
The issue is still that they USE JYJ when it is convenient to promote their precious Kpop and ignore them when they are being blocked from promoting themselves.
@dbullock
“And I hear what you are saying but after two years of writing every Korean government agency & official I could find info on, I’m tired of this bulls***t. ”
Oh, I know. I swear – you are preaching to the choir. Honestly. There has been no more fed up, had it up to HERE, pissed off JYJ Ahjumma than Yours Truly over the last few months as it became more and more evident that the Judgement of the Court was NOT coming down, not now, not any time soon, apparently. Something went awry in the Halls Of Justice and as long as that is the case, all the entities who said “we can’t book them until there’s a decision” could continue the boycott.
But I am a firm believer in pushing back and pushing HARD and so strenuously that doors are forced open no matter how persuasive SM may be in the darkened back rooms; this kind of pressure can make its presence felt. There is no more commanding spearhead of this pressure than Kim Junsu. He looks absolutely possessed in the photos we’ve seen and he has a firm mission and unshakable message – break down the walls. As I’ve said, only time will tell.
I just hope this doesn’t come back in some other form of more propaganda for KPOP. I can envision headline… “International Fans Swarm Seoul Korea Facebook page Demanding Kpop”
Unfortunately, if you look at the FB thread and information about it circulating in other places, a lot of those fans have MISREAD what was posted and are saying that Seoul Korea is asking what country would you most like to have a JUNSU concert in.
“Unfortunately, if you look at the FB thread and information about it circulating in other places, a lot of those fans have MISREAD what was posted and are saying that Seoul Korea is asking what country would you most like to have a JUNSU concert in.”
BTW… the correct answer for this question is KOREA. *______*
Oh my, I just realized …
Exactly, that’s like what they did in South America Concerts .
@dbullock
I know how you feel and I felt that way too when … was it KBS did that news story about JYJ in Peru. But one of the things that is important to remember about that situation is that JYJ had no control over the CONTENT of those news stories.
This is very different.. and the difference here is that CJES and Junsu would have had to have been approached and given APPROVAL for this.
I believe JUNSU/CJES participation is by choice and my take is that this a WIN for Junsu in terms of FREE MARKETING for his album and his concerts.
So if we stay positive we can also make this a PLUS for Junsu and JYJ. I like Lilibaiyu’s suggestion to why not use it as an opportunity to VOICE YOUR OPINION ABOUT JYJs situation
POST SOMETHING LIKE… I’D LIKE TO SEE JYJ PERFORM IN SEOUL LIVE & ON NATIONAL TV….
Suppose the whole fandom posted comments like that on their FACEBOOK PAGE….
So if they were trying to use JYJ to promote K-POP… we can use the same avenue to let our voice be heard instead of feeling angry…we turn it around and use it for our own agenda. POW! 🙂
I can buy tickets for anything and offer them in a raffle or where ever if I want to generate interest in my cause. I don’t have to have permission to give something away for FREE.
Everyone is certainly entitled to their own take on what this really is but until I read the press release that C-jes & Junsu supported this venture, I’ll stand by mine.
@dbullock
Absolutely! No harm in that. 🙂 Until then let’s keep celebrating! 🙂
@a friend of JYJ
I agree with you. This is what I posted on facebook.
“Thank you Seoul Metro Government for promoting JYJ’s Junsu. We can see Kpop freely on your national TV. What we really want to
see is that rare gem named “JYJ” . I will even fly to Seoul for a JYJ concert. Thank you.”
Let us flood them with JYJ love.
@Jeannie…
Yes.. make lemonade out of the lemons… : ) Work with what you have and even find a way to use to your advantage what the “enemy” may present, to bring about the change you want to make happen. What country would you like to have a K-pop concert?
We know they are not asking the question…”What country would you like to have a Junsu concert in?” But they know Junsu is hot and right now the “Junsu brand” drives traffic on the web… so if they are going to use his name as a “draw” whether they got his permission or not.. well lets use it as an opportunity to express/voice our opinion… so answer the question:
Question: What country would you like to have a K-pop concert?
Answer (however you want to) example: Well Seoul Korea would be good and BY THE WAY…. the artist I would like prefer to hear is JYJ…. and then elaborate why… use it as an opportunity to let your voice be heard about JYJ and the boycott.
Take a look at Lilibaiyu’s suggestion above…..
Thanks for responding.. 🙂
@dbullock what is the free ticket to then? is it to a Kpop SM concert?
It is two free tickets to Junsu’s *Thailand* concert. Winner to be selected randomly from posts in official thread about what country the poster would most like to have a KPOP concert in.
@dbullock I guess I am missing something… is he not performing in Thailand? Or he is but the gov is using our Su so they can find out where to do a Kpop concert (instead of “where do you want a Junsu concert”) and get more people interested in Kpop concert with the drawing, right?
@dbullock thank you for responding 🙂
@yssaluvjchunsu “Or he is but the gov is using our Su so they can find out where to do a Kpop concert (instead of “where do you want a Junsu concert”) and get more people interested in Kpop concert with the drawing, right?”
Well that is my take on it and unfortunately a lot of the responses have misread the question being asked and think they are asking about wanting to have Junsu and/or JYJ concerts in other countries.
¡OMGS! Very good news indeed. Then the Seoul Metropolitan Government is supporting Junsu and JYJ…….. Very interesting 🙂
I got it, everyone should write “JYJ on TV in (name the place)” or “Xia on TV in ______”
The question is where Kpop concert you wish to be held at?…it’s K-POP,not JYJ..they are manipulating,sorry for being honest…
I am always happy to see something happen good for our boys even little ..but if same time with Korea Media or GV I still always smeel fishsy !!!
CONGRATS AGAIN JUNSU!… more coverage in the print media…. 🙂
https://twitter.com/AFriendOfJYJ/statuses/204408575571927040
OK… I’m probably being annoying now but I am really trying to weigh what y’all have said about this promotion but the more I look at that Seoul Korea FB page, the more I get convinced that C-jes & Junsu had nothing to do with it.
It’s possible that some complimentary tickets were given but I don’t believe that is an endorsement of the what they are doing with the tickets.
Even the JYJ YouTube video Seoul Korea linked to on their FB page is not from the official C-jes YouTube channel… it’s some random fancam.
If this is supposed to be a mutual co-operative marketing idea, it’s a total FAIL at making sure sources were properly credited and official links were used.
@dbullock
please to be positive!
I believe that will go allright! Relax! Ok?! 😉
@dbullock
“OK… I’m probably being annoying now but I am really trying to weigh what y’all have said about this promotion but the more I look at that Seoul Korea FB page, the more I get convinced that C-jes & Junsu had nothing to do with it.”
You know what, I just want to apologize for anything that I said that may have given you the impression that I was discounting your argument. You may very well be absolutely right in your assessment of the situation and as someone who has been in exactly your position in the past, bringing up an unpopular view and then attempting to defend it, I feel eerily uncomfortable being one of the ones saying “oh, I’m sure it’s going to work out well.” Because sometimes, especially as regards JYJ and the way their homeland treats them, the worse case scenario has been proven to be the correct one.
But as I am usually the cranky old gloom and doom pusher, I beg to reserve the right, just for this one day, to be so thrilled with Junsu’s achievement in his Seoul concerts and so hopeful that the unqualified brilliance of these concerts will do more to break open this terrible situation and expose the harsh light of day on these scurrying cockroaches aka SM Entertainment that I want to see the best possible outcome and the best possible good in everyone and everything.
🙂
