Contests like this are pretty much always only open within the country of origin. Whatever country you’re from, it’s the same way. Think of the millions upon millions upon millions of non-US residents who can’t enter the tons of contests US-based companies have every year. 😦 This is one time i-fans aren’t really being discriminated against, as this is standard procedure for these types of contests. (There are many other instances, like concert tickets, in which i-fans are unfairly excluded; if you want to be mad, focus on those.)
