Topic: Spreading Korea’s culture and sports to the world today [YTN FM Radio interview]
Aired in YTN FM 94.5 (18:10-20:00) July 11, 2012
[T/N]: They were talking about Kpop and the Minister said how some groups do activities without commercial fanfare and without the financial support from the government.
Choi KwangSik (Minister of Tourism, Culture & Sports):
This is especially true in JYJ’s case, which is exemplary. JYJ not selling tickets is a very good example of that.
[T/N]: The minister is talking about the free tickets to the recently concluded JYJ membership week.
Anchor:
You also know about JYJ. It seems like you know more about JYJ than me.

EVERYONE know JYJ……
So…this was good publicity, right? 😀 Thank you, Mr. Choi. Now if only other government officials would say something…
Awwww Sir Minister.. It does good to the government right not to sponsor KPOP activties like *coughPariscough*
However it’ll do better if JYJ who does everything good actually gets public recognition and freedom.. against you know KPOP companies you give tax payers money with to support..
SECOND.
lol, that’s right Mr. Official, JYJ is good for the economy!
Mr. Minister knows about JYJ .. so whose the cute one sir?? hihihii
culture is people..its not all about money. So Korea is very lucky to have JYJ.
sorry, minister , thanks for mentioning JYJ on radio, yet very obvious giant corp has more ” influence” in yr govt, or parliament perhaps.
JYJ really enjoy fair play? They do everything free is to get rid of being accused & restricted performing at the venue. They sang free at membership week and broadcast in youtube is no choice dear minister.
But it is unreasonable asking commercial organizations doing all the deficit bearing activities. One day they may go bankruptcy.
Minister, you mentioned govt can’t involve in entertainment industry, fine, but pls involve in your official website : can your help desk tell us where is Roof top Prince , Dr Jin, Musical Elizabeth, from the Korean tourism board .

Worst, before JYJ membership week in 28/6 ~1/7/2012 , which operated at international expo standard, bring in huge foreign currency income, but there is ZERO exposure in the ” coming up event ” pages, IRONICALLY we can see tons of other Hallyu stars activity highlights, plus giant entertainment agencies shopping center featured in YOUR site.
Is democracy really runs well in South K?

1. Yoochun, Jaejoong, you guys surely have filmed TV drama in SOUTH KOREA? Where are your ” Roof top prince ” & ” Protect the Boss ” ? Musical Elizabeth not a cultural events ?

Minister, is this really a govt website FREE FROM commercial bias? or it is a subsidiary website FUNDED BY the giant entertainment industry ??
JYJ, pls go re-confirm if your national ID still in the govt record , one day X-file may happen , do you need Agent Scully and Mulder ?
Seriously , Cjes, this “sanction ” on JYJ is unreasonable.
Govt websites belongs to its national people, not tools for a minority right?
This website is for worldwide overseas promotion, not for Korea or Japan , holy heaven~
Minister, you said govt shouldn’t use tax payer’s $ to involve in K-pop business , clearly , from YOUR tourism official site, govt has INVOLVED a lot, in a passive negative way against JYJ.
Calm down , its time to have a friendly positive & respectful coffee talk with dear Minister, Cjes.
Good luck, JYJ.
@aurora
after seeing the link you posted, SERIOUSLY, SK government and people behind it! how can they not mentioned JYJ in drama and K-pop section??? Didn’t they even know that SKK is winning a precious award at New York? [i forget the awards name] how can they not put SKK in drama section?
damn! what’s wrong with SK people and their system??? this makes me sick! korean government and etc never respect what JYJ did to their lovely country. meanwhile, WE, the non-korean people, can respect and acknowledge what JYJ did for past few years.
seriously, this really makes me pissed off! why you always try to get benefit from our boys, but never tried to defend JYJ, even once??
sorry guys, i’m kinda pissed off.
additional….top hit drama SKK scandal…Protect the Boss , Ms. Ripley… ALL “INVISIBLE” Time travel to other countries??
Should those co-drama players / producer of JYJ cry ?
Hi Astrid, you’re perfectly correct.
JYJ dramas ( include Ms. Ripley, Protect the boss etc ). All vanishing, w/o logic….
Luckily you spoke for them, their drama ( SKKS) was award winning piece overseas.
So the JYJ Membership Week really brings good publicity to JYJ. That’s what our boys need. Since they can’t appear on TV, they have to go other routes for the public to know about them. Smart move! 🙂
guys we need to show our love to yoochun today too … lets keep voting http://en.korea.com/event/sda2012/
Reblogged this on My Blog.
So many government people were talking about JYJ already but it seems they don’t do anything to amend this idiotic situation our boys in for three years already. They all admit JYJ is good for their country but when they would need to do something they just shrug and say – it’s not our business. It must be the perfect solution for them. They get to enjoy the benefits of JYJ’s hard work without needing to lift even their pinky for it.
I truelly doubt SK gov’t now.It is not a fair for JYJ to be treated like that in SK.Where is the justice. They do so much for the culture of their country,in return their gov’t shows no respect, nor interest in JYJ’s activities.
i fil kinda sori for my kings..
