JYJ Yoochun‘s sudden deactivation of his Twitter has made many fans curious as to why he might have done it.
Yoochun left a Twitter post on August 1st that read, “I am always so grateful that you are always cheering me on and showing me your love and support. I want to greet you guys in the future with great music, acting, and promotions…^^ Once again, I am sincerely grateful and I love you!! ♥.”
Twitter was a way for Yoochun to communicate with his fans and the sudden deactivation has caused speculation.
Many have assumed that he deactivated his Twitter because of sasaeng fans like Super Junior’s Heechul, but that does not appear to be the case for Yoochun.
A representative of Yoochun told OSEN on August 2nd, “In his fans point of view, this was a ‘sudden’ move, and I think that is why a lot of misunderstandings came up. He did not delete his Twitter for any particular reason. He has been neglecting his Twitter after opening it so I think that troubled him. Many fans are waiting for him to update his Twitter and send him many mentions, but he can’t reply back daily so he decided it would be better to deactivate his Twitter rather than continue to neglect it.”
“His reason for deactivating his Twitter is not because he developed a personal problem nor is it because he had a change of heart. ”
On another note, Yoochun is currently preparing for his Asia Fan Meeting Tour that will start on August 25th in Shanghai.

What do they mean by sasaeng fans like Super junior Heechul? Is Heechul sasaeng?
No lol. Heechul deleted his twitter account because saessangs were STILL stalking and harassing him even though he is currently on military duty
Now I understand what they mean. Thank you very much.
Poor Heechul. I dont know why people dont like him, hes not that bad person…
like @PheonixiaJJ said- Heechul was still being harassed, being chased down by saesangs in his car. Since he is doing military duty right now, he is on his own, driving himself. Since he was in a severe car accident years ago, you imagine this is prob. traumatic. SO…he wants to finish his military service and “live quietly” away from all the idol noise, hence closing twitter. Here’s a link to an article with his last tweet:
http://www.allkpop.com/2012/07/kim-heechul-posts-about-sasaeng-fans-before-closing-his-twitter-account
Haechul deactivated his twitter account because sasaeng…
Ah… thanks for the explanation! Now we understand. It’s okay.. we respect your decision, yuchun!
our usual weird dude & his abnormal thoughts
it hurt now but after a while he will feel free and we will feel free too
Yes. i think there’s no other serious reason behind this. Its just simply being unable to comply to something your’e not into.
I think, yoochun is not a peron who’s very keen on using internet or browse on websites and so on… He is a MAN and usually they are into physical activities rather than sitting in front of the laptop all day updating their facebooks..twitter etc… So, im not so worried about all this issues and i know that yoochun is rather more comfortable now beacuse there is lesser responsibility for him now.
the way I see it is that he is very considerate and thoughtful person..
he knows that we will be there everyday, waiting for him to tweet if possible every second, we would never be satisfied because we want him to tweet more, to post pics more, just like JJ does, but he doesn’t like to do it and can’t do it, so he thinks it’s better for him to close his account, rather than keeping it there and never tweets anymore 🙂
@it’s♥hyacinth
I’m so agree with what you wrote though 😀
thanks for the clarification .. guess it should have been something like “Many have assumed that he deactivated his Twitter because of sasaeng fans, just like the case of Super Junior’s Heechul who also deleted his account because of this.” 🙂

Live freely, relaxed, happy and healthy Yoochun!
I think he just got bored with twitter. Before there were JYJ’s official FB its kinda hard for them to reach out to intl fans. I’m thinking he likes to keep his privacy more. Gonna miss u on twitter chunnie 😦
Actually yoochun don’t have to tweet back all the time..
just keep updating is much better..we just want to know about his life, news and blablabla..
but then, it’s his decision, rite..just respect whatever it is..
we still love u, supporting u and pray hard for your career…
@mickymong
yes, you are right. Yoochun don’t need to tweet back if he doesn’t want to.
we can know about his activities in many ways, not just twitter.
Just respect and support him if we really a fan of JYJ.
I think that this singer said a little too many personal things on him (ex: I am bad I get drunk), things which a celebrity does not have to say to everybody. In France it is possible but I think that in Korea, it is badly seen, because an artist does not have to have mood, he must be perfect. Being afraid that it harms him, he preferred to cloturer his account.
Can’t agree with you that “an artist does not have to have mood”. He is not God he just a human being like you & I.We have long known his imperfect but we do accept who he is including his good & bad! Further disagree that “afraid it harms him, he prefers to close his account”, YooChun is a kind of person who is frank & honest to his true feeling, therefore once he decided to tweet it out, I don’t think he would fear to face any possible implication or ungrounded nonsense throw to him!
I am sorry, but I badly expressed myself because for me to write in English is not easy. I said that Yoochun, as idol, but not as man, did not have to write of too personal things because I think that for the Korean media an idol must be smooth, appropriate, clear(appropriate, net,clean, clear). Besides, I think as you, that he is frank and very sensitive and that through his tweets he showed his ill-being, and certain persons could us it to hurt him.
I don’t think that’s it. There are other Korean artist out there on facebook tweeting away those very same things and they haven’t closed down their account. If he felt those things reflect badly on him, then all he has to do is not tweet those things. Simple.
Not “facebook”, “twitter”. Typos.
LOL… CJES im hoping a FANMEETING in MALAYSIA…
u r out of topic i guess..keke
but me also hoping for yoochun or jaejoong or junsu have fanmeeting or concert in MALAYSIA..^^
~sigh~
twitter will never be the same again then
@vonz ditto 😦
I have to get this off my chest, you know how if you keep something inside you it just feels heavier, well I hope my JYJ family will be understanding and know that I am hurting right now, please, please don’t be mad at me and jump all over me… but this is how I am feeling right now with this….instead of giving me a bone everyone once in a while he just decided to abandon me. It just really hurts. *tears*
Relax and be cool dear, as a true fan we have to respect his decision so long as he feels happy by doing that, why not? though I feel lost too the moment when I learnt about it but after contemplated what he has been gone thru especially in this year itself, I just felt relief & understand his move, anyhow we still have other platform / channel to read about his news like JYJ3 site, hence please let him has his privacy & space which he has been longing for so long since his debut and it just happen now is the right time doing it.
yes, but a simple tweet saying “how are you doing out there?” or a simple “goodnight”… I don’t see where that would invade his personal life/privacy….. just a simple word or two… text real quick and that’s it…..no pictures necessary…..
I will come around soon …..
@yssaluvjchunsu
…”please, please don’t be mad at me and jump all over me… but this is how I am feeling right now with this……”
We don’t jump all over people here on JYJ3 for expressing an opinion. We allow that here. I know that no other K-Pop site does, but we do. We prize civil discourse here. Don’t worry. You can state your opinion and there will be those who even tell you they feel the same. That’s what makes JYJ THE BEST site anywhere for news and views about JYJ. We allow people to be who they are and deeply express themselves here.
🙂
Thank you lilibaiyu… yes this site if awesome… i was just a little scared since the majority of the comments were wholeheartedly supporting him and I felt I needed to let it out and talk it out here with you all. Thank U Republic of JYJ my other family. 🙂 I still get short bouts of tears when I remember….. wow he really did get in my heart.
@lilibaiyu this is Yssaluvjchunsu too!
@Yssa
My feeling? We here on JYJ3 have to be as courageous, as fearless about speaking our truth about these amazing young men as they have been in striking out on their own and making a life for themselves against near impossible odds. The given here is that we all love them and want only the best for them always. After that, we can ponder, analyze, consider and discuss at length what we are thinking and feeling about JYJ. Are they doing any LESS about their interesting and complicated lives, do you think?? I don’t think so.

Yuchun del twitter coz he cant reply to all mentions?? No!!! reply is not necessary.. only ur updates are enough for us 😦
It means the cause is not saesang fans??! If they were the reason then i defo’ curse them million trillin times.. LOL 😀 😀 😀
Nywaz.. We support ur decision.. Come soon bby…
I wish he didn’t have to explain his reasoning for deactivating his twitter account. He’s a normal person like we are. At times I feel fans don’t give their favorite celebrity enough privacy. (and this applies to all fans not just JYJ fans).
well, it’s very nice of him to give explanation to us.. it shows how considerate and thoughtful he is, right? 🙂

his last tweet is enough for me, this explanation is like new site phoned to cjes & some random person answered
I think I can understand chunnie because I have same feeling with him..I am a blogger which is sometimes I want to close my blog so badly..I can’t blogwalking, reply my follower’s comments after updating due to hectic work or maybe my laziness..But my followers always keep asking me to update, which is makes me guilty when I can’t fully their wishes..So for chunnie, maybe it’s more more more burdened him..Chunnie, just do what u want to do..Go get ur life with ur friends, chunnie…we love to see that you are having a real life like before..Saranghae saranghae saranghae saranghae hanabbunin nae sarang^^
I’m gonna miss his twitter account… I get updated through his twitter account but oh well… let’s just respect what he wants :))
yuchun…i understand your decision…so don’t worry about we cannot find you …because you are always in my heart..just enough…hope you have good musicand acting for us …and i really wish ….you can always in happy not have anything make you unhappy and sad ….so keep the faith..that’s usually remains myself…so really thank you a lot …hope see you soon…Taiwan yuchun fans^^
A representative of YC talked to Osen … I really hope that it is just that simple : ” that he’s neglecting his twitter… ”
As far as I Know Park Yoochun, I doubt if that’s really the reason ( HEY, I said “I” , so this not a fact only my intuition) .
All along I know him to be a very smart ,courageous and thoughtful person, whatever is happening behind doors I know he really weighed everything cautiously, wish you all the best YC.
@kris
“As far as I Know Park Yoochun, I doubt if that’s really the reason …”
I agree. This is P.R. spin, designed to be as smooth and inoffensive as it can be. We don’t know what is going on with Chunnie. The man is a sphinx in the best of circumstances. It’s obvious that he doesn’t want to upset the fans but he still feels compelled to make this move for some reason. Sooner or later, we’ll know why.
🙂
@lili
I was actually cautious to write that comment, I might be kicked out for doubting or not believing in Yoochun. I only have doubt on the article not on YC . Hope he would come out sooner , we may not know the real reason but at least if he’s visible, we will have a hint if he is OK or not.
@kris
“I was actually cautious to write that comment, I might be kicked out for doubting or not believing in Yoochun. I only have doubt on the article not on YC . ”
If there is only ONE THING that I manage to persuade people to do here during my time on JYJ3 it is to NOT be cautious in expressing carefully considered opinions that may be other than the relentlessly prevailing opinion, the safe, politically correct opinion. This is our ONE free place to talk, to give alternative views and thoughts, to grow our understanding of not only JYJ but of creative people and hard challenges in general. Please let us NOT shut down this valuable forum for the sake of the most easily upset and dismayed posters. Let us rather convince them that to disagree is not a terrible thing, one may learn new things in a disagreement and above all it is possible to respectfully disagree and still feel like you have ultimately still retained a friend.
@lili
” Please let us NOT shut down this valuable forum for the sake of the most easily upset and dismayed posters.”
That should be the case, can we suggest to the Admin to put this as a reminder to all the posters ?
but of course excluding the trolls! 🙂
@kris
“That should be the case, can we suggest to the Admin to put this as a reminder to all the posters ?

Well, from my point of view the given is and always should be that we love and support the members of JYJ. we support their struggle and we are in this for the long haul, however long it takes for them to find justice and freedom to pursue their careers. We love them as artists and we want to follow their careers for years to come. THEIR careers as they choose to live and follow their muses.
Having said that, please please do not attempt to muzzle or restrict the thoughts of the posters here! This forum is all we have. Please respect that.
okay, maybe we can extend this discussion somehow in ODP? but i’ll just say it here first anyway. you want some honest opinion, here we go.
i hope that this is really what everyone and admin had in mind… and what i think is, if we really value freedom of speech, that also include, regardless of someone else’s past, you’d value his/her opinion based on his/her post NOW. when someone blurted out about his/her disappointment about cjes, don’t just shut it off. when someone else frustrated about gapp, don’t just shut it off. yup we all should be open minded, but if we demand people to be more open minded towards our opinion, we should be open minded first by ourselves… and somehow, that open-mindedness is something i felt amiss from recent discussion here. idk, maybe that’s just me.
@noiha
“okay, maybe we can extend this discussion somehow in ODP? but i’ll just say it here first anyway. you want some honest opinion, here we go.”
I think we just have to remember that we’re all human here, we all have good days and bad. We are all occasionally closed-minded and then again other times nothing fazes us and we just let things go and say nothing. I very regularly, and I mean several times a day every day say nothing about the things that I read here that I don’t particularly agree with. But the point is, let’s try as far as possible to stay flexible and encouraging of courteous discussion. It always kind of breaks my heart in a way when i read posts that start with people saying “Please, please don’t bash me for saying this but…” I want JYJ3 to be the lone “No Bashing Zone” in K-Pop and I think we’re already well on our way to being that.
🙂
oh-okey yoochun
i accept your reason 😀
