Kim Junsu, member of JYJ, is visiting Mexico for the first time, becoming the first Korean artist to offer a concert in this country.
Previously, JYJ visited Chile, becoming the first pioneering artists to open the hopes of future K-pop concerts in South America.
Last March JYJ visited Chile and Peru opening the path of future concerts for more Korean stars. In the case of these two countries, they have been successful in opening the path to Kpop bands as next October Big Bang will offer a concert as part of their Alive World Tour.
JYJ fan club in Mexico, with the support of other fan clubs and the Korean Consulate, got the attention of South Korean media for an event which will take place next Wednesday afternoon. This event will help South Korean agencies to observe the growing phenomenon of Kpop in Latin America. Taking into account that continents tend to unify, if Mexican fans are able to impress the journalists, Korean producers may consider Mexico and Central and South America for future concerts.
Although previously the CEO of one of the main entertainment agencies in Korea said in an interview that South American market wasnt too desirable as it didn’t represent big monetary benefits, with these results it’s inevitable that businesses pay attention to these countries as future markets to explore.

You’re making us so proud, Junsu!!! You and JYJ are not only your nation’s treasure but truly a “world’s treasure” 🙂
Congratulations!
other hallyu stars and kpop stars should thank you and JYJ for paving way for a greater market in mexico and other countries in south america… i won’t be surprised if others will follow soon (aside from BB) 🙂
Reblogged this on ~ blogging my fangirl-ness.
Thank you Mexico fans for truly welcoming our dear Junsu with open arms & lots of festivities !!!
It makes me jealous looking at those pictures & seeing the passion the fans have for him & JYJ 🙂 !
its JYJ,, they always be LEGEND ^^
“..Although previously the CEO of one of the main entertainment agencies in Korea said in an interview that South American market wasnt too desirable as it didn’t represent big monetary benefits..”
And again…they’re-1-step-behind JYJ 😀
while most ‘korean-main-ent-agencies’ are too buzy trying their luck out to ‘Japan’s Market’..
JYJ already far ahead to the west xD
XIA JUNSU & JYJ ROCK!!! xD
At least the article is giving credit where the credit is due. I’d hate it if they’re all “see, the Hally wave is so strong and so popular oversea!” when Junsu and JYJ are the ones doing the hard work of breaking into the market here. If K-pop is to count on those big entertainment companies which only cares about monetary benefits, it’ll be forever stuck in Asia. Three young talents with a small agency have more guts than even the big shots.

Angie, thank you for stating the obvious! So, the ones who take the risks will make the gains. Let them be shortsighted. In the end it’s JYJ!
Rock it in Latin America Junsu! 😉
Congratulations to all the Mexican fans whose hard work paid off. 😀 & thank you to the writer of this article for not jumping to the erroneous & annoying assumption that JYJ’s hard-worked-for & hard-won success & popularity is synonymous with the “Hallyu Wave.” It’s the JYJ Wave thank you very much!!
era de esperar q los fans mexicanos lo recevirian vien a junsu los jyj son lo mejor
