[NEWS] 120920 JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong to Launch Asia Fan Meeting Tour Next Month
JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong is heading out to meet with his fans in Asia.
On September 20, C-Jes Entertainment announced that JYJ’s Kim Jae Joong would embark on an Asia fan meeting tour.
The singer/actor will kick his tour off on October 21 in Nanjing, China before moving on to Bangkok on October 23 and Indonesia’s Jakarta on November 3. With the singer having previously sold out his fan meeting tours in places like Shanghai last year, many are anticipating the upcoming fan meets will do the same.
Kim Jae Joong shared, “As it is my first time meeting fans in a long while, I’m already in anticipation for it. I’m happy as I believe [the fan meetings] will be a place where we can see how each other has been doing and where I can share stories from my dramas and movies.”
The singer enjoys immense popularity abroad and was recently voted as the most influential K-Pop star for the first half of 2012 in an online survey.
At the press conference for his recent MBC drama, Time Slip Dr. Jin fans from some 31 different countries around the world including as far away as Belgium, Ecuador and more sent congratulatory rice wreaths.
Kim Jae Joong is currently working on post-production shoots for his upcoming November movie, The Jackal is Coming.

JYJ who left TVXQ in July 2009, experienced twists and turns, ups and downs, the moment they came out of their former agency SM Entertainment. Because of legal disputes, it was hard for them to appear on stage. There was no song to sing on stage as well. Due to copyright laws, most songs are registered under TVXQ. Still, they held out and in fact filled 80% of their first studio album, that was unveiled for the first time in Korea, with their self-produced songs.
Fans’ reaction was good. For the first time, there was an idol group album almost filled with self-composed songs. It had a higher degree of musical perfection and maturity. JYJ has gone beyond idol status, became singer-songwriters and has now evolved into a group of artists.
JYJ was forced to actively embark on overseas tour instead of domestic stage. JYJ’s last performance in Peru last March was held approximately one year since the world tour has started. The whole world was captivated beyond Asia to Europe and South America. Junsu’s solo worldwide concert tour has mobilized tens of thousands of local spectators.
JYJ has turned to drama and musical fronts to get a foothold in popularity. They have been recognized as actors thru Yoochun’s Rooftop Prince and Sungkyunkwan Scandal, and Junsu’s musicals Mozart and Tears of Heaven. Jaejoong’s acting in Dr Jin has been noticed and his movie Jackal is set to be released in November. JYJ, who are Hallyu actors and singers as well, has been voted to be the most influential Kpop stars in 2012 in the site all kpop.
JYJ has tasted the bitterness of life but has once again stood on top and has become more mature. They endured malicious rumors and sasaeng fans assaults. They don’t give up and always reassure fans while dealing with crisis.

* BIFF = Busan International Film Festival
* Lotte (to be exact, Lotte Shopping & Lotte Entertainment) is the film distributor of ‘Jackal Is Coming’ and Lotte Cinema is one of its subsidiaries.
Lotte Cinema is now showing BIFF advertisement before movie starts. The advertisement is about that there will be a full size poster of ‘Jackal Is Coming’ inside the BIFF guidebook. haha.
BIFF is one of the most significant film festivals in Asia. And BIFF guidebook introduces the visitors from all over the world about its schedule. So, this is a big promotion for ‘Jackal Is Coming’ ^_^
(It doesn’t mean BIFF will screen ‘Jackal Is Coming’ and technically it can’t, because there is a big 1 month gap between BIFF and the release date of the movie ^^)
