In order to show his appreciation and respect of the host country and make them and everybody comfortable,
he’ll learn and say a few words in their mother tongue and the rest in his own….(If you were to go to France and don’t have any French to communicate, the French are not appreciative of the fact that you’re not proud of your own language but choose to speak to them in English. Ofc if they speak English to you 1st, then it’s fine..and ofc different in touristy areas..)
