On the 23rd, Kim Jaejoong explained on his twitter, “Eunsoo-saem, I paid 100% for the smartphone”. Kim Jaejoong made a clarification shortly after the broadcast of MBC’s Come to Play on Oct 22.
Kim Eunsoo, who until recently has been using a 2G phone, has boasted in Come to Play that Kim Jaejoong has given him a smartphone. But at the end of one month, Kim Eunsoo was surprised that his phone bill amounted to 150,000 KRW. Eun Jiwon has stated “It seems the bill contains the price of the smartphone” which made Kim Eunsoo embarrassed. This prompted Kim Jaejoong to unravel a surprise on his twitter that he paid for the phone in full.
T/N: Eun Jiwon kept on insisting the phone’s price is included in the monthly bill but Yoo Jaesuk was also insisting that Jaejoong paid for the phone in full and there might just be an error in Kim Eunsoo’s phone rates.

I hope you wouldn’t doubt what Jaejoong tweeted. It will make sense to you if you know how a smart phone works. When the settings for mobile surfing is always ON, the service provider will charge every minute or per kilobyte even when you’re not using it. And if it is ON, you will be charged even while you’re sleeping. Can you imagine how much that would be for a monthly bill? This is what Jaeseuk was trying to say when he mentioned about the rates. Then there’s also roaming charges when the phone goes out of the country. Charges vary in every country, sometimes double, triple the charges because both countries are asking for service charges, taxes, other additional charges. There’s a lot involved to come up with a mobile phone bill. I know all these because I was also a victim of “bill shock.” A lot of my friends had the same experience when they switched to smart phones. So to minimize the bill, just turn OFF those settings then just use it to surf when there’s wifi. I hope I was able to clarify this for you. Have faith in Jaejoong.
oh come on now .. does it make sense then to buy a phone and not fully pay for it but ad the payment to the phone bill ? .. how would that work ?

agree with cakestar, he change his phone from 2G to 3G can increase the charge, like a voice call charge will be different with a video call, and 3G phone usually has better browser which means easier video downloading, heavier contents and all goes on, so it’s no wonder the bill is higher. I will also assume that Mr. Kim Eunsoo beng from the old generation probably have not yet known how to make the best use of the phone, he probably tried all the new features or downloaded apps and games, so that’s probably why the phone bill increased by a mile.

lol… no, I was just putting “myself” in his situation, I can’t even imagine what is like to have the whole world watching your every move, and if you make a tiny mistake it is really complicated to explain… Plus.. I don’t just believe what ever I feel like believing without evidence..

Just because you put “I don’t know” and “maybe” in your sentence doesn’t mean you are making a suggestion because then you said, “it just doesn’t make sense otherwise”. Like I said, people usually misunderstand me (my fault)… So I basically failed to make it clear that I was admitting my first assumption was WRONG (Just a “though that popped up at that moment” ). I sent it, then changed my mind after just one reply, which was enough to make me think again who Jaejoong is. I thought for a moment that one of the possibilities is that Jaejoong made a shy lie, which is, I know, absurd. I didn’t mean it as a bad thing, just a mistake that anyone would make (that he wanted to help an outdated old friend bye a new phone, Eunsoo mistook it as a gift and thought it was free, Jaejoong being put in an awkward situation because everyone thought it was a gift, had to lie), I thought about that cause I couldn’t think of any other reason the bill would be high.. but when I re-think about it, yes that only makes Jaejoong a “cheap liar” which is not like him..
My whole roundabout comment and the “I don’t believe that he is a saint who never told a lie” was only trying to explain why I thought like that in the first place (which I don’t anymore).. I never implied that I am an extremely logical person. Yes I got angry because I had a “conversation” with someone who claimed all JYJ fans are irrational and jump in defense of anything for JYJ but in this particular case I got upset because you talked about the people who *didn’t* agree with you. Your comment annoyed me because you did make the statement that you rationalize things first implying that other people don’t. I doubt you meant to say that you are more logical but that is how it came across to me. Either way I apologize because this isn’t worth getting worked over.
If anything you explained yourself perfectly just now. If I had read this explanation it would have made much better sense. I still think that Jaejoong bought EungSoo the phone because if indeed he had not he probably would not have tweeted about it. It just brings more attention.

I think that high fee is because of using 3G services. 2G services are cheaper than 3G ones. High tech with the old people could be not useful as it gone with the youth, what a pity… And the MC is so rude!

Looks like from Jiwon’s last comment that he felt slighted that Jaejoong was being talked about instead of him, that he was trying to put Jaejoong down. At least that’s how it looks. I’m sure Jaejoong paid for all of it~ It’s just that Samsung Galaxy S3 uses 4G LTE…So its services are more expensive if you don’t use it wisely (or don’t get a plan that fits your needs with the phone). I think that’s where most of the charges came from.
edit: I one time left the 4G mobile network connection thing on (forgot the technical term for it) …And my phone bill was so high at the end of the month because of all the data was used unintentionally thinking that I using wi-fi. OTL

Dear Eunsoo-saem – sometimes the monthly phone bill increase sharply, is because you have forgotten to disconnect to your browser. Especially during roaming. This kind of crazy phone bill shocked many smartphone users . So , dun be embarrassed by this, talked with your 4G service provider, negotiate for the bill if you have query.

Jaejoong paid for the phone and he needs to give EungSoo some basic lessons about 4G phones. Roaming charges have been reported to run up to $1,000 (in the U.S. anyways) if people aren’t careful. It happened, it is over and Jaesuk is awesome.
