JYJ member Kim Jaejoong and Super Junior member Choi Siwon have both left their ‘K-Pop idol’ titles behind and transformed into true actors.
Kim Jaejoong makes his film debut with “Jackal is Coming” also known as “Code Name: Jackal” where he appears as a top star next to a female killer. He exceeded expectations by acting in a comedy and breaking through his charismatic and mysterious image.
In order to live, he will tell the killer played by Song Ji Hyo that he’s not the real star and will show off incredible amounts of slapstick comedy for an idol star. He will try to make himself look fatter and style his hair in the strangest ways in order to make her and the viewer’s laugh.

I think it should be more better if Cinema21 release it since almost all cities in Indonesia have Cinema21 (31 cities, http://www.21cineplex.com/), while Blizmegaplex only in Jakarta, Bekasi, Tangerang and Bandung (http://www.blitzmegaplex.com/en/index.php)
If it’s true, I can’t afford it that should go to Jakarta or Bandung, just wanna watch JJ’s movie TT____TT

it also my thought….i am sorry for said this but when i see Siwon act, i can’t feel any emotion on there, his face expression and the feelings of the character that he play always look same…….i ever talk about this matter with my best friend too…….she is more to drama and kpop than me (well i never called myself as a kpop fans but more obvious as JYJpop only ). at first when Skip beat live action came out, i ever watch the trailer in YT and said to her that i can’t feel any emotion from the character that siwon play, she argued to me that it just because i am not interest on him since beginning so my impression became negative toward him but then………after she watch it and we meet again, i asked her how is it (skip beat drama) ? she said that she impressed to the actress who play as Kyoko but for Siwon……she finally agree with me, he can’t bring the feeling of Ren character out and so expressionless. My friend also said that Siwon acting skill is so ordinary. once again i am sorry to CSW fans who maybe read this (bow)

in Asia.
For some reasons, he copied Andy’s way of acting
( nothing offensive) , which is always overshadowed by Tony Leung, and even
Aaron Kwok. ( who excels so much in movies or tv dramas)

I’m going to pretend I don’t see that other person’s name in this article because he’s no where near comparable to JJ. Out of all the dramas he’s been in, only one was a moderate success and that was due to an awesome leading lady. Just cause he’s landed in a project where he’s playing the second lead with a male lead that is actually talented does not suddenly make him talented as well.
But back to the subject that really matters, I’m so excited to see this movie!! I really am so happy that JJ took on a character that lets go of his image. To be honest when I first heard about the movie, I thought it was a bad move because he’s an idol playing an idol character and that’s always a tough spot because if he receives praise, people will say it was because the character wasn’t a stretch for him. But now that I know he really let’s the idol image go, it makes the character much more likeable and relatable. I’ve never anticipated a K-movie like this before, does anyone know how long it takes typically between the release date to when it starts showing up on subbed sites?

Agree ! This Kpopstarz should just focus on JJ’s movie . It is offensive to include siwon, who has TV drama with SBS now .
Yup, our Jaejoongie has become a true actor and his acting career is bright ahead. How lucky we are! We fangirl over an idol group as first, but then we also have 2 legit, popular actors and one successful musical actor, as well as three singer-songwriters, to be proud of. 🙂
