Park Yoochun and Yoon Eun Hye‘s painful expression of love on ‘I Miss You’ had the viewers in tears.
On the episode 9 of MBC Wed/Thu drama ‘I Miss You’ which aired on December 5th, Han Jung Woo (played by Park Yoochun) arrested Zoe (aka Lee Soo Yeon, played by Yoon Eun Hye) himself.
Han Jung Woo remembered Lee Soo Yeon’s words from before her disappearance in their youth, “I wouldn’t kill anyone” and believed in her innocence. Han Jung Woo tried to spare Zoe from having to be arrested by others but was not able to as Zoe resisted and Harry (aka, Kang Hyung Joon, played by Yoo Seung Ho) got in the way to protect her in his own way.
Eventually other detectives arrived to arrest Zoe so Han Jung Woo had no choice but to arrest her himself. Zoe realized that she was a suspect in the murder of Kang Sang Deuk (played by Park Sun Woo) and was frighted. Zoe was shaking as she said, “It’s not me.”
Han Jung Woo tried to calm Zoe down as best he could and brought her to the police station but Zoe could not calm herself down. In the interrogation room Zoe said in front of another detective and Han Jung Woo, “What’s the problem? It’s good that he died…” In order to protect her, Han Jung Woo warned her to think about it before making a statement as it was all being recorded and Zoe added, “I read it in the newspapers. A guy like that should die.”
Han Jung Woo then interrogated her alone and Zoe misunderstood his intentions. Zoe thought that the reason why Han Jung Woo believed her to be Lee Soo Yeon was because he wanted to catch the killer Kang Sang Deuk. As she wrote her statement Zoe said, “You would want me to be Lee Soo Yeon, right? Then you wouldn’t need all this process and I would just be the killer. Is that why you came over to the front of Harry’s house on the day or the murder? Were you going to arrest me if I was Lee Soo Yeon?”
Han Jung Woo responded, “Why are you like this? So twisted. Does anyone who is a daughter of a murderer kill people? Not everyone kills a person because they were assaulted and hurt. Soo Yeon? Soo Yeon would not kill anyone” expressing his trust in her.
Zoe was upset and said in tears, “If I were Lee Soo Yeon, I would have killed you first”, which was more proof that she is Lee Soo Yeon than anything else. Han Jung Woo had never revealed many details of his relationship with Lee Soo Yeon and his name was not even mentioned in the newspapers thanks to his father’s influence.
Han Jung Woo said tearfully, “I wish you were Lee Soo Yeon even if you kill me.” Zoe was tearful too as she felt Han Jung Woo’s truth in his words. Zoe was able to return home thanks to Harry’s help and as her fingerprints did not match Lee Soo Yeon’s.
As Han Jung Woo watched Zoe leave, he thought to himself “Soo Yeon ah, you must hurt when you see me like when you see the scar on your foot, right? I will wait” and as he added, “It’s erased, the bad memories” he made the hand gesture from their youth together.
Zoe acted tough in front of Harry but when she returned home and got to her room, she started to break down and cried. Zoe covered her mouth so that Harry couldn’t hear her painful cry and she cried and cried to herself remembering the painful things she had said to Han Jung Woo.
Netizen comments on the episode 9 of ‘I Miss You’ include: “Yoon Eun Hye’s the queen of tears”, “Yoon Eun Hye’s myungpoom acting was amazing”, “I cried so much together with Han Jung Woo and Lee Soo Yeon”, “Lee Soo Yeon’s words really gave me goosebumps but Han Jung Woo’s lines were daebak! I cried so much”, “Yoon Eun Hye and Park Yoochun are both such great actors. Total daebak!”

OMG i can’t wait any longer!!!! i want to watch it now…….this drama is so amazing and all the actors…never been so impressed like this when watching k-dramas..daebak….YC ❤
Just watching the picture make me burst into tears :”'( Yoochun – An A-Level Blockbuster Actor as JJ said) 😉
This is one of the best acting I have ever seen in a kdrama .. My bias aside and will all objectivity
I’m really proud of Yoochun and I believe that is not the only
I don’t like how everyone – on the show & viewers – seems to forget that she was RAPED. I really don’t like how they’re dealing with, or rather not dealing with it. I’m not here for a girl being raped as a tv thrope for the male character’s own developpement. If they were going to chicken out later on they shouldn’t have gone that far just for shock value to begin with.
sadly, thats how it is in real world..
in my country a 15 year old girl was kidnapped and raped multiple times (around 3-4 times). but when she is ready to go to school, the teachers and even the headmistress told her to pack her things and go homw coz she was expelled, and they told her in front of her friends aka in her classroom. but even worse before, the headmistress said something about the kidnapping n rape incident in front of the whole schools and kinda blame her (eventho the headmistress didnt mention her name) when they have school brof before school started. so right at that moment, all of students in tat school knew about her.
i watched a christian channel in which a beautiful young girl (asian girl 14 or 16 years old, i forgot. i dont really recognized her languange, but she told her story in mixed of english and.. a languange i dont recognize?) was raped in her home when 2 robbers broke into her house during a bible study lead by her parents. she was raped multiple times by the robbers as she was moved from room to room (to shown them where the valuable things were) and then raped in those room, including her bedroom. she was never had a boyfriend nor ever been kissed before. and sadly, she have to hide from her trauma coz when she trembled n freaked out in a room where there were men, she was freaked out. some friends heard abt her situation, and quite supportive. but it seems as the times goes on, people around her kinda ‘hope’ she forgot the incident.
there was also an incident i heard from a friend who was works in an institution for helping rape victims, where a very young girl (around 10 years old?) was raped by her religion teacher. her mother never know, until she saw how her little girl was always felt pain when she went to the restroom and how she freaked out everytime she saw or near her brother/father or other male relatives. And when she found out. It was her who broke down, and always in state of hysteria during her daughter psychology sessions. And later it was look like she was the victim and not her daughter. Later on her family withdrew the charge to that teacher, with a reason that the mother who always fainted or hysteric during trial, thus the family thought it better to drew the charge and solved the problem with an agreement with the school. Later the teacher was transferred, but the little girl cant even go to school again coz she always freaked out and she also cant go out, and have to move, coz she and her family became gossip materials by their neighbours
that what happend in society, even in modern times like today. esp in Asia. girl was raped, but most people saw her not as victim, but treated them like they were have a hand in their situation (too pretty, too out-going, too sexy, etc). and then as times goes by, those people thought just because the time has passed, the victim have to ‘get over it’ too or forget it coz it was happened long time ago, or she couldnt remember coz it happened when she was so young..
oh my god, I have no words… what you’ve wrote, this is horrible ….and the teacher was only transferred? the mum conserned about herself instead of helping her daughter? the school blaming the poor girl? ppl hoping that she’d forget?
I know most ppl are selfish most of the time, but still, I’m shocked…
In this drama, i forget that YC is a singer >.<
He is a truly actor!!
Dee is that you ? did you change your name here ?
My first comment ever about YC and YEH anywhere.
Yoon Eun Hye in Princess Hours didn’t have the technique in acting but I thought she radiated good emotional presence and sensibility. I thought this was what carried her over to Coffee Prince when both emotional presence, charisma and improving technique took over. Even so, I thought it was still her charisma, presence and sensibility that took over in Coffee Prince. In short, her ability to touch the viewers during crying scenes and emotional scenes has always been her strength. She was able to win awards even though her technique wasn’t at the same level.
Funny that’s how I felt about Yoochun as well. My first time seeing SKKS, I thought he was raw. But you can see that he had the sensibility and charisma. Throughout his successful performances in dramas, PYC’s technique while improving wasn’t the reason why viewers were attached to. It was his charisma and emotional sensibility.
As a non fan of both YC and YEH (I’m actually I Miss You drama fan), I’d say both YEH and YC’s acting technique is finally catching up to their innate talents. Both are amazingly gifted but was raw. Now Things are coming together. They can still improve more on their techniques but they are already above most due to their charisma, emotional sensibility and ability to express emotions. Many are great actors in technique but most aren’t gifted to radiate emotion and sensibility with facial expressions and body language. I find both YC and YEH able to do that.
I will be looking forward to their future projects. They are already good, but they can be very very good.
obviously both Eun Hye & Yoochun acts are sensible in potraying their emotional out well.. the pros should convey techniques required but personally I always excited feeling even the raw sensibility & charisma, much to the fullest watching enjoyment 😀
