Good news has been revealed as 2012 comes to a close.
Many top stars in different genres will be making a comeback at the beginning of 2013.
JYJ Jaejoong to make Comeback with ‘Sexy Rock’ Concept
In 2012, Jaejoong made many appearances on screen. This upcoming year, he plans to release his first solo album since debut. He will be releasing a rock style album in January of 2013.
Rock band vocalist Kim Bada praised Jaejoong by saying that he has a voice that is fit for rock.
As of right now, there is no set date for his release. They are currently planning his promotions and activities. They will release jacket album photos and teaser videos starting next week.
Girls’ Generation to make Comeback Altogether
Girls’ Generation has been busy this past year with unit and individual activities and so they will be making a comeback altogether next year. It has been 1 year and 3 months since the group made a comeback as one whole group.
They are currently working on the last stages of their 4th album that will be released in January.
Acting Idols CNBLUE to make a Comeback as a Band
This past year, CNBLUE has received much support and recognition through their acting roles in famous dramas. They plan to make a comeback as a band this January.
They recently held their 4th solo concert in Korea and announced then that they would be making a comeback in January.
This past year has been mostly focused on idol groups, however, many believe that the music industry is slowly shifting to solo artists and skilled musicians.
Many are anticipating these top stars comeback next year.
Whoever is the layout designer is a Jaejoong bias :). why he has to take the half portion, SNSD and CNBlue the other half!
So It’s Kim Jaejoong vs. 9-nine dolls , and I like CNBlue, they are cute and play instruments, I consider them on different league from those almost the same Kpop male idols/dancers/lipsyncers .
So it’s an exciting debut as a solo singer for Jaejoong, he’s with SM’s strongest card SNSD, what a fierce fight on charts !
For potential and new fans : A compilation of Jaejoong’s Best Lives: Extreme Opposites, very soft & very powerful voice

that’s, that was first thought when i was reading the headline .
lol
@kris
Hi sis. My sister also likes cnblue. But I prefer Lee Hongki’s voice than Yunghwa’s. 😀
You’re right. Jae’s pic is double the other two’s. Love it. Kekeke…
Let’s just support and do what we can to help uri Jaejoong however we can and ask evil Someone to go and fly kite. ㅎㅎㅎ
@Michelle
Yes Lee Hongki has a nicer voice than Yunghwa but I enjoy watching CNBlue in their live performances, they are all good looking especially Lee Jeung Shin 🙂 with his guitar and the drummer too 🙂 . I’m easily attracted to men playing instruments, hopefully Jae will challenge himself on stage playing his drum set given by RockJJ.
@kris
I like men with instruments too. No Minwoo’s epic drum playing, FT’s leader’s electric guitar skills made him look sexy, Wang Leehom’s super impressive skills in almost all musical instruments, and of course Jae’s self-taught
@kris
Yes, CN Blue members are good looking. I like men with instruments too. No Minwoo’s epic drum playing, FT’s leader’s electric guitar skills made him look sexy, Wang Leehom’s super impressive skills in almost all musical instruments, and of course, Jae playing piano 😀
And yes. I forgot about the drum set. Wooh… Jae on drums… Sexy.
@kris – ” Whoever is the layout designer is a Jaejoong bias 🙂 ”
STRONGLY agree, and i like it , hee..heee…:P
I don’t care about the other 2 groups.:-P
It’s only been a couple of days, but I’m already suffering from waiting too long for Jaejoong’s teaser next week. ㅋㅋㅋ
@Michelle
unlike you, i”m taking it slow 🙂 it’s ok if i’m time behind him, do you think it’s because of my age? i’m vague here dear sis, but every news about him i don’t feel the rush. maybe because i never let go of anything about him, never get tired re-watching. i feel good knowing there’s a Jae’s storage in me 😀
@maejae
My dear sis, you are NOT that old! I’m catching up though, hahaha…
You are good, taking Jae slowly. I’m impatient when it comes to Jae 😛
I CANT WAIT FOR JAEJOONG SOLO… I hope he can perform on the TV!!! >___< Inkigayo, etc .
We all hope Jaejoong has that opportunity to do “promotions and activities” unblocked.
if he doesn’t get to promote like these other idols then it’s no fair competition … and knowing SM (and other companies) that’s what’s going to happen .
cant wait to watch this…
I cant wait to hear and get my hands on Jaejoong’s solo album, I’m so excited! I do like CNBlue too although I like FTIsland more I do enjoy some of their songs as well.
i think Jaejoong likes stimulation, without good rivalry, there will be no advancement.
his eyes sparkles when there is real challengers. ( eg.that he met strong team Big Bang & Fahrenheit …)
And after watching GG ” Flower power” Japan live performance , which makes AKB 48 ” jaw dropped…
not because of very good, instead , very awful. I don’t think GG is the rival. ( regular female fans supports may be there, numbers of male fans keep rising up, but can’t say a big success)
I suddenly think some idols from some particular groups “may” steal the stage charm .
Let’s see. CN blue, the fandom base must NOT be underestimated.
The real success relates to which market Jaejoong is addressing to.
Digital or physical album, live concerts in Asia, perhaps the key element
determine success. With organizing Junsu Asia & worldwide tour ” bitter” experience,
trust that Jaejoong and his team will be more wise and achieve their goals in better ways. 🙂
* but in acting, strong actors just dismissed from army, they are true rivals as well.
Fahrenheit? there are not a kpop group.
About the competicion in terms of sales GG will win (both digital and physical album) there is no doubt about it. But there are more than just sales and it’s “recognition” my hope are high with this album…
Other artis coming back in january.
T-ara
Girls’ Generation
YG’s New Girl Group (???)* (THERE ARE ROOKIES BUT THERE FROM YG SO DIGITAL SALES WILL BE BIG FOR SURE)
JeA (Brown Eyed Girls)
CNBLUE
Baek Ji Young (Digital Queen too)
I predict that JJ will be second in physical album sales and his digital sales will depend of who good his album is produced.
@Alexa_Is_chunsa -hi , thanks for your opinion & appreciate for opening up more discussion.
About Fahrenheit, yes they are not K-pop, i mean that year Jae and his members already burnt out,
yet meeting strong Asian rivalry group like Fahrenheit , he summoned all his power and really explosive on stage. That was really impressive. Without competition, even genius will become dull boys. ( just like Jae mentioned recently, he told Song JK he will be more aggressive & improved more in acting)
Agree with you in the prediction of Jae’s physical & digital album sales.
One thing favorable to Jae is his fandom buying power is higher ( age groups matter)
try do more live concert or fansmeeting, appear on China variety show more often.
Time is limit, region is limit ( without Japan), so , preferably focus in China to earn
most. ( Jang KS, actually much less talented compared to CN blue, but his strategy
is FOCUS on his best market in Asia, without any award, his income rank# 1 in SK)
Other girls groups will do well due to regular buying ( regardless quality),
but they would last over age 26. Too much competition, and they are quite bored.
F(x) rising up so well, especially in Greater China region.
CNblue, guess is the only real rivalry live band ( stage performance really good will real music instrument like Big Bang) unlike BB, CNblue fandom include many household fans through great
drama. Their agency, actually Mnet media. Will count 90% great promotion of 2013 comeback.
Hope cjes really hold important strategy meeting with all Asia allies. Jae is precious, after this 2013 come back, very soon he will be in army. Let’s try the very best to help push his success all through.
hi @aurora
please let me know which one was the performance you mentioned here, where jae n team vs big bang n fahrenheit, is there any video regarding this? I don’t wanna miss his explosive performances.
@Alexa_Is_chunsa
” Baek Ji Young (Digital Queen too) ”
Agree, yet under ugly twisting, she can’t even got any award in 2012.
That is crazy enough.
Jae will set a new trend, the next Hallyu wave with people who appreciate artistes instead of idols.
“change the flow of idols”? Jaejoong as a solo artist, and CNBlue as a band, maybe, but SNSD is a very manufactured idol group along with the rest of the idols who may make a comeback or debut in January. They’re not really in the same league to compare, not to mention I have very little expectation that Jae will be given a fair chance to promote his album. Concerts and fan-meetings are the only options tbh, and of course counting on his fans’ loyalty and buying power to push the success of his solo debut. I don’t care about other groups, I’m gonna only focus on singer Kim Jaejoong early next year.
Definitely, Jaejoong not play in the same league as other singers to be presented in January.
sm idols now relatively “poorer” in music realm.
Take MAMA 2012 as example , while BB received all the honors in MUSIC wise, play real music that rocked the audience & other artists, suju sat in their seats looking upon the YG ‘s stage power.
Especially their teams some important members were absent ( nothing offensive to suju fans) . In terms of music, sm is not comparable.
SNSD, ..they are lost in their music direction. But their merchandise sells.
their rivals not Jae, but KARA, SISTAR , fx and many other female group.
The rest is Exo, though they lipsync, but under comprehensive / intensive / target focus promotion ,
they had drawn much success in Asia TBH.
SM will use their LEAST expected idols groups to face-off Jaejoong, especially deprive the markets Jae is interested in. ( eg . Fx victoria, paired up with 2pm Nickchun. They built up crazy fandom as virtual couple, hard to believe Fx victoria already appeared in Hunan Happy Camp, and not JYJ.
Well, audience needs happy romantic entertainment , not necessary quality music performers.
* victoria’s Tv drama in China suck, but view rate was no#1 . She alone can beat any snsd member,
esp she is relatively more sincere to audience and real talent in dance / stage performance. Most important , she is native mandarin speaker. Recently, she has been flying in the sky all over China,
2013 will be a shocking success, sm poured HUGE $ in it.
One thing need to point out, HM comeback and 2013 tour, their fandom mobilized each other through sns EARLY since Sept 2012. I understand Jae’s fandom is undergoing massive rebuilding, and some fanclubs ( esp in China) has removed all the admins & hardcore members , everything are still mingle….must deal with that part asap.
Finally is acting matter, even sm has changed its strategy, now idols mainly acting driven. CJ groups
help them a lot, Jae must stick to it and get more cross – over help from the acting field.
Mid term and Long term planning are important for JYJ to thrive.
@glacial.music
You have some interesting comments here. Most of them make sense. There will be some strong measures to offset efforts of the members from JYJ, by SM.
It’s no accident the CEO of SM said the company’s main focus will be China from now on. I think they knew Japan was going to become diminishing returns after a while. But the main issue will be how well they target their audiences. Given the size of the Chinese market they will probably do well. Especially amongst those who aren’t really keen to measureable talent.
But the size of the Chinese market should prove to be fertile ground for many. So, if the fan groups can get their acts together, it shouldn’t be that difficult for Jaejoong’s work to go over well.
Thanks for the input. 🙂
@butterfliesarefree2 – appreciate for your opinion. Agree the Japan market is diminishing, consider recent huge & horrible QE measurement like US, the money note value has dropped a lot, and yet the inflation is up. Under this situation, penetrating to China market is wiser.
And agree with you , China is big enough for all artists to explore. 1st line cities has been saturated, i saw sm already explored 2nd to 3rd line cities. ( this month end , Homin ,Zhang Liyin , Fx, Exo-M will fly to 2nd line city, Sichun, ) with Zhang Liyin help speak Sichun dialect, will definitely win the audience s’ heart)
Cjes lack these type of native mandarin or China dialect speaking artists. And definitely JYJ needs to greatly improve a lot .
( sujy win Great China fans’ hearts because they really speak good Mandarin).
JYJ needs to build up next generation of fans, especially high school to college group. ( though their buying power is too weak compared to existing fandom, but they can help so much in digital sales & many charting / polling ONLINE, which is so important
for 365 days NOISE on the web.
Lastly , yinyuetai is no longer a virgin land for Korea entertainment industry, like facebook, Youtube , twitters it accepts PAID clients & help featuring / prioritize their idols & news. SM & many other Korea company paid more than six months, the effect is EXTREMELY good. Now many China universities campus will air Korea songs, and MOSTLY friendly ally song of course…..
( recently JYJ previous free pages have been cut down a lot. )
eg. Not sure how much sm has paid facebook, but its ” services ” for EXO is top-notch, it separates EACH member and ” recommends” to its target customers constantly.
Also, not sure how much sm has paid twitter, for all new registered a/c, they prioritized BoA as the vip needs to be added.
Not forgetting allkpop, their ” intestine” ? ><
This & That….arrh.
Many phenomenon , are CREATED , lies told 10 times become true.
Any average dry biscuits can become high end cupcakes in 5 stars hotel.
( all these just my opinion )
@butterfliesarefree2 , apologize for your feedback was not responding for mine. Thank you.
and pls pardon me @glacial.music.
@aurora
No problem. We can jump in anywhere and make a statement. I appreciate hearing from anyone, because we all have something to bring to the table. 😉
Let’s mass purchase JJ’s new album people!
