Honestly for me I am going to have to hear more of the song before I can say rather I love or dislike the song. I think I feel this way because I have not really heard JJ sing a lot of rock songs. I think I remember him singing only one rock song that I liked. However, I am excited to hear the entire song though.
for me, i have to say that i like all his rock song rendition (from Footstep, Crying, Maze, all of them). He pulled it amazingly well. But yeah, it was a rendition, the song itself has already a well known song with great composition from the respective rock musician. JJ will have a huge burden right now as he has to serve a new song to the public. One thing, he does have the rock-ish color voices, i can totally portray him singing Larc-En-Ciel’s song just as good as Hyde. Nevertheless, fighting JJ, happy working-hard!!
@lovesongeighty6 i wish i could remember the one rock song he sang that i really liked. I only remember him in the video walking around on stage in concert singing the song. He really sounded good singing that one song. In general I do like some rock songs depending on the artists. I am looking forward to hearing his rock songs.
@makiforjyj yes I am not sure who Maze is but this is the song I was talking about. This is the one rock song that I know of that I really liked that JJ sang. I really liked the way he sounded and the rock energy he carried while singing the song. I also, liked how hot he looked commanding the stage while singing the song. I love guitars and the band sounded amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So for me I am going to have to hear him sing the entire songs before I make up my mind. But I am excited and cannot wait to hear what he put out!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to interrupt your conversation, but I have to add that Maze is an original song, it was released by Tohoshinki as part of Keyword/Maze (JEJUNG from 東方神起). The lyricist said that he Incorporated JJ ideas and input into words. Come to think of it, I think JJ was sending a signal that he will walk his own path, if things didn’t improve, & he did.
Kudos to him….
@kawaii00
thank you for the reminder. i forget about the “Keyword/Maze” single in 2008 by Tohoshinki. Wow, the lyrics was just so lifting-up the spirit.. jejung and HUB (the lyricist), what a great team they were!! this kind of lyric is what I expect from JYJ, to tell stories about wide range of topic, not just about love between men and women..
So, he had performed Crying, Footstep, Seoshi, For You, i like them all. is there anything i missed out?
I loved already the first few notes and am humming it the whole time ^^ but it’s maybe because rock, alternative rock actually, is my favorite music genre ^^
Best of success to JJ’s solo debut. He not only is bringing his own name, but also bring the burden of JYJ’s name. That works to all JYJ member. Best of wish that his project will get friendly welcome from the casual music listener in SK, especially from rock music’s listener. That’s probably one of JJ’s biggest concern right now, a totally different world than his usual fans. A decent praise/acknowledgement from them will be more than enough.
“a totally different world than his usual fans ”
I agree with you, this is a very risky move since he’s trying a rock genre, totally different from JYJ’s music, so some JYJ fans (who are used to dance and ballads) may dislike this album but that’s where the thrill and challenge are, besides stepping to another group of audience. But for most of Jaejoong Fans, this is a dream comes true for us.
(But for most of Jaejoong Fans, this is a dream comes true for us.)
when Junsu had his solo, majority of JJ fans could not see that, (dream come true) , jyj3 allowed allot of disrespectful comments being made of Junsu’s MV, Solo, looks, concept and style he chose, everything he did, (leaving sarcastic notes even recently when first news of JJ’s solo came, making fun of his style efforts in his MV visual again, ) and the non stop sorrowful nagging for JJ’s solo, under Junsu’s Solo did not allow the full enjoyment of the moment. allot left the site because they couldn’t feel secure every time they clicked under Junsu news since the beginning of his solo till now, it seems as though a group of JJ fans deliberately went on a mission to put Junsu’s efforts down, maybe a jealous spree and had to find a way to abuse “freedom of speech/opinion” which are in reality “disrespectful/rude comments” not able to at least be quiet to allow us a place of safe haven. don’t worry Kris, i think jyj3 is a save haven for JJ fans, and those JJ fans who claim they are Yoochun and Junsu bias, or supportive fans, they just leave disrespectful comments , their opinions on the expense of the Artist’s image and his fans feelings. for all we know, Mr.Egg could have told Junsu about those comments said about his style ect, how about (for Junsu fans this is a dream come true for us) allot of fans really respect their artist and appreciate his efforts and love everything about him, his style, his looks, in their eyes are perfect, why comes an ignorant disgustingly rude fool to tell us our feelings are not important, what is said is not important, there is a saying, (if you have nothing good to say, don’t say anything at all) most JJ fans, not all, but the majority at this site would not refrain from leaving sarcastic rude notes. how is jyj3 a JYJ site if its not a safe haven for all JYJ fans to bask safely in their artists efforts.
now they want to bask safely when they didn’t give others that right in May ? they cause bitter feelings and act as if they had no hand in causing that and wonder what brought it up ?
What goes around comes around, people get treated they way they treated others. If JJ fans want to bask freely without hearing hurtful comments, they needed to respect other fans feelings first. most Yoochun and Junsu fans left because the majority here seem to have a tendency to be disrespectful towards others’s artists and claim they are fans, no dear, a real fan wont accept to hear disrespectful remarks would they, they wont even think disrespectful to say it. SME didn’t respect our boys, we end up finding bias’s disrespecting our boys all the same, hurting their image. hurting their fans feelings. majority of this site are JJ bias and more than half of you were protected despite their disrespectful/sarcastic/remarks towards other JYJ artists. its the majority of JJ fans at jyj3, who cause bitter feelings and making this site look bad by so many provocative comments,and because the ones who say them are JJ fans they always get protected.
not all JJ fans are like this, just the majority at jyj3, its like this site draws that type. i feel sorry for the JJ fans who get caught up and blamed because of others at some particular site gave a bad image about JJ fans and made that particular site look bad too.
my comment not directed at You Kris, but i hope most JJ fans realize what their actions mean. If they want to avoid conflict they should go to a JJ only fan-site if they are going to leave hurtful provocative comments that don’t provoke JJ bias fans because its not about their bias, go figure.
lol, I have high respect to JYJ3 Admin so I just pretend I read nothing.
I have just peaceful exchange of thoughts with lovesongeighty6,
I have no time to entertain whatever fanwar you want to insight.
Whether you wanted to start a fanwar or not, as one of the Admins of JYJ3 I feel the need to respond to some of the points of this comment that are directly referring to us.
Let’s start from the beginning. When Junsu released his MV teaser the response on JYJ3 and other fansites was, as always, very supportive because it is Junsu and he is a JYJ member. While the comments were (on the whole) very supportive, because of the completely new and mind blowing images Junsu decided to show some fans’ reactions were unsure or they expressed their disappointment. I was the admin of that post with the help of the others.
I’ll provide the link to it here: http://jyj3.net/2012/05/08/video-120508-tarantallegra-mv-teaser-from-c-jes/
While you are at it why don’t you check the 350 or so comments to the full MV? http://wp.me/p1gQsC-lnQ
After the initial shock wore off many fans adjusted quickly. (Let me remind everyone that Junsu’s concept was “Unequalled” and he certainly met the definition of that word. He was breaking out, not only from his former image but from every preconceived notion everyone, including some of his fans, had of him.)
In regards to moderating comments, the comment section of JYJ3 is for fans to express their opinions. It is not the job of the admins to delete every non-supportive or lukewarm comment in response to a post. If the comment section worked that way I could write the comments myself. There is a fine line between constructive criticism/opinion and outright trolling and the admins do their best depending on the situation. It would look ridiculous and we would be accused of not allowing anyone to express opinions or engage in discussion in a supposed “comment section” if we were so strict in moderating comments.
Let me end my comment by clearing something up. The admins DO NOT favor any member’s fans over another member’s fans. And they also DO NOT care who your bias is if you put down a member of JYJ to praise another or make unnecessary comparisons between members. Those comments are removed or otherwise appropriately dealt with. Other factors are not taken into consideration.
@Sempoi
I was replying to “@JYJ”. There’s no need to be sorry. It seems their comment is directed more towards JYJ3 than anything else. So I would rather address this directly in case anyone is thinking the same or is confused.
JYJ Official FB, more late than Allkpop in posting Jaejoong’s teaser,
but it’s not surprising at all.
Anyway I’m so excited how will CJes promote Jaejoong’s album,
when is the pre-ordering? anybody knows? it’s barely a month till Jan. 17…
Stretching oneself is never wrong. The only way you grow is take risks. So far, there have only been a few seconds of one song. I’m not necessarily a huge rock fan, depends on the rock style. I’m not into the screeching, screaming kind of rock. But just the fact that all of the members of JYJ are getting a chance to try out other kinds of music and grow is nothing but a plus for me. This could never have happened if they were not on their own.
I agree with what you said totally about the only way you grow sometimes is to take risk. Well you did not say sometimes but same thing. Also I am the same way I like rock music but it depends on the rock style. I am just happy jyj have the opportuniities to try things they want to. That’s what’s being an artist is all about.

@sempoi’s 2nd comment
I don’t think the admin is talking about you. I believe anmcha3’s comment is directed at ‘JYJ”s comment
@mzsa
Yeah…but I still feel bad on what I wrote. So that’s why I said sorry.
