Charming? Most assuredly so. There may never be three more charming young men than these. Carefree? Hardly. These three have been through a trial by fire in the last three years. They have paid and paid dearly for their freedom, as obscene a concept as that is to western fans. As an American, I am appalled by the concept that these three very young performers were required by SME to pay them 30 million dollars to leave that offensive company, who had only exploited and cheated them. Yes, it’s true they also made them famous but that is all they contributed to the members. They kept all the profits and real assets any of them ever had.
So, carefree?? No, I don’t think so. They may be able to act as if, but I think these three are heroic, they are survivors and I will never stop believing that. And the battle is not over yet. ONLY when JYJ are back on TV in SK, only when they are allowed to book gigs at the premier concert halls in the country and be back on award shows, accepting their awards as the true excellence that SK has ever produced will the battle be truly over.
@lilibaiyu Did our boys really have to pay 30 million to leave that offensive company. Can you tell me where I can find that, was it an article here? I have been on vacation and have not caught up yet.
@YssaluvsJChunSu
Oh, no, no, no and I’m really sorry about that unclear sentence – I thought the second after I’d posted it that it was stated badly. No, that was what was stipulated in the SM contract they were bound to when they walked out the door and SM counter-sued them to either be paid the $30 mil or for the guys to return and continue with TVXQ. Needless to say, they didn’t return and of COURSE the judge declared the whole contract invalid. So no, they didn’t have to pay anything to SM and my apologies for the unclear words. But that ridiculous “penalty clause” for an artist leaving is what has kept singers in virtual bondage to the companies with no ability to leave.
🙂
@lilibaiyu yes did they actually pay SME 30 million to leave? Did they pay them 30 million a piece? Where was this posted?
She meant to say that they were required by SME to pay a penalty of 30 million (won or us dollars?) for breaching the contract but (remember) since the courts ruled the contract invalid and abusive they never had to pay any such money to SME.
Jaejoong changed his hairstyle! Cute!
that was so cute. Junsu’s smile ❤ I loved it
Did junsu write pabbo or something which Jae erased away? Hahah so cute!
