Jaejoong has sold out a batch of 120,000 copies of his solo album ‘I‘!
The solo mini album was released on the 17th, and has already sold 120,000 copies, leaving a demand for more to be produced. As a result, his label has recently produced 20,000 additional copies.
Not only so, but his album managed to sweep Hanteo’s Real-Time, Daily, and Weekly charts with the release, signifying the high interest his first solo project has gathered.
His label said, “In the digital music generation that we live today, it isn’t easy to increase album sales… We think his musical color is being acknowledged, and he matched the public’s taste well.“

[PROJECT] “Happy Seniors” A Birthday Celebration for Kim Jaejoong
The boys of JYJ stand out not only for being excellent artists, but
also for their kind hearts and their active involvement in charity
work. In this, we wanted to follow their example. Some weeks ago we
received an invitation to participate in a wonderful project so that
we could celebrate Jaejoong’s birthday differently: with a group of
grandparents. The idea was to go to an elderly home, “Las Rosas”,
bring food and share an afternoon with them.
Around 4:30 pm, the grandparents were sitting in the dining room
waiting for what we would share with them. Beforehand, we ordered a
table with donations and had it decorated with images of Jaejoong,
green balloons, and put on some background music (the songs from
Jaejoong’s new album). Read More →
What do JYJ’s members think of Kim Jaejoong’s 1st solo album?
JYJ Kim Jaejoong released his debut solo album ‘I’ on the 17th. In an interview conducted recently at a cafe located in Apgujeong-dong, Seoul, Kim Jaejoong talked about the reactions of JYJ’s members Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu toward his album.
“It’s a little bit awkward to say it with my mouth…” Kim Jaejoong began to talk, “After listening to One Kiss, Yoochun said ‘Jaejoong-ie hyung is really good at singing. This song is so great’.”
Kim Jaejoong said, “Yoochun likes emotional music more than dance music. So, he listened to One Kiss then said ‘I must have a drink now’.”
Kim Junsu’s most favorite song is ‘Mine’. Kim Jaejoong explained, “I released a single of rock genre called ‘Maze’ before. Ever since then, Junsu said ‘One day when hyung releases a solo album, it must be of hard rock’. I think that’s why he likes ‘Mine’.”
