What do JYJ’s members think of Kim Jaejoong’s 1st solo album?
JYJ Kim Jaejoong released his debut solo album ‘I’ on the 17th. In an interview conducted recently at a cafe located in Apgujeong-dong, Seoul, Kim Jaejoong talked about the reactions of JYJ’s members Park Yoochun and Kim Junsu toward his album.
“It’s a little bit awkward to say it with my mouth…” Kim Jaejoong began to talk, “After listening to One Kiss, Yoochun said ‘Jaejoong-ie hyung is really good at singing. This song is so great’.”
Kim Jaejoong said, “Yoochun likes emotional music more than dance music. So, he listened to One Kiss then said ‘I must have a drink now’.”
Kim Junsu’s most favorite song is ‘Mine’. Kim Jaejoong explained, “I released a single of rock genre called ‘Maze’ before. Ever since then, Junsu said ‘One day when hyung releases a solo album, it must be of hard rock’. I think that’s why he likes ‘Mine’.”
Last year, Kim Junsu released a solo album ‘Uncommitted’ and successfully finished a world tour.(T/N: this must be the reporter’s mistake, Uncommitted is a single, Junsu’s solo album is Tarantallegra)
Kim Jaejoong shared his thoughts, “It’s true that I envy Junsu who has a successful solo career but I’m not under impetus or heavily affected.”
He added, “In Junsu’s case, his album contains various genres of music, while my album attempts a new music that I hadn’t done until now. For that reason, I think the two albums itself have different meanings.”

Variety as they say is the spice of life. We each offer something different and good. I’m happy for both Junsu and Jaejoong. This is how it should be, creating the music they want to create. 😉
@butterfliesarefree2 I totally agree!
Yoochun = Alcohol ㅋㅋ joking!!!
its great …they are both great cds…i proud of them. evrything they do is great and done with such feeling and care
@carmen janet yes I agree they both are great cds and I am also proud of them!!!!!!!
“Yoochun likes emotional music more than dance music. ”
same with me, that’s why I became a fan through LITI, Bolero, Begin, Melody&Harmony not Mirotic.
Junsu’s full album which contains various genre of music defines him as a musical artist, his flexibility as a singer/composer
while Jaejoong’s mini-album is an attempt to enter to a genre he’s not used to do, so yes, the two albums have different meanings.
@Kris love and agree with your comment: “Junsu’s full album which contains various genre of music defines him as a musical artist, his flexibility as a singer/composer while Jaejoong’s mini-album is an attempt to enter to a genre he’s not used to do, so yes, the two albums have different meanings.”
I love emotional songs too. I’m glad we have this in common, Chun. And that’s probably why I love their ballads more than their other genres. I can connect to their ballads better.
I love a variety of different types of music and I am not one to really listen to just one type of music. So I love ballads, dance, ect…. type of songs. This is why I love both Junsu and JJ albums because they present a variety of chooses.
Thats right Jae ^^ both carries different meanings, both are very special in their own way. It’s impossible to compare both, because each stand at their own stage.

I like Junsu’s TARANTALLEGRA because it has variety and different genres. Jaejoong’s MINE is all about rock and I just love Jaejoong singing rock songs 😀
The first song I heard by TVXQ was “Triangle” with TRAX and Boa. I am not into that type of music so I dismissed it. I was later surfing the web for CG pictures and came across the website of Heise Jin Yao. While I was looking through the artwork, I kept hearing this song over and over. By the time I had finished, I had fallen in love with the song. All I heard was the beautiful voices. When I got back to the home page, there was a small window on the bottom left side. I clicked on the window. There were 5 beautiful guys sing “Love in the Ice”. It was the Japanese version. From that point I was hooked. I’ve been a fan ever since. I choose JYJ to follow after the breakup because i feel they have the best voices. And I agreed with what they were doing.
I am greatful to Heise Jin Yao for putting that video on the website. I have been a happier person for knowing JYJ and the love that their fans show them. JYJ fandom is unique. I am honored to be one of them.
