Last week, Jaejoong‘s mini album ‘I‘ had ranked #1 in Taiwan and Japan, in addition to taking the top ranking on the Korean Vchart for China’s biggest music video site, Yinyuetai.
This week, he managed to rank #1 again on Yinyuetai for the 2nd week in a row. As further proof of Jaejoong’s popularity on the site, his music video on Yinyuetai has accumulated more that 10.1 million views, while the same music video on YouTube has garnered nearly 1.8 million views. Additionally, he was also ranked #2 on Billboard‘s World Album Chart.
His first solo album has been seeing a tremendous amount of popularity, and his solo concert is also receiving an incredible amount of interest.
To meet his fans across Asia, Jaejoong will be embarking on an Asia tour, starting with Thailand on February 17th.
MINE = Full of DAEBAK.
Really deserves more views on YouTube…This MV is so good and not only because he is Jaejoong!
All biases aside, Mine is a great song and the video is beyond awesome!
I guess some people are used to the ‘cookie cutter’ type videos of boxed in dance steps?
I think !.8 million views for less than a month is not bad at all, considering it’s in a dark concept.
At least it’s not from paid youtube views like http://500views.com/1-million-youtube-views/ and there’s a lot of this kind,
no wonder MVs from big entertainment companies will just shoot up, it’s part of promotional deal by most promo companies.
@kris
That link – utterly appalling and completely disgusting. But keep one thing in mind, my friends…. this is NOT real money made, this is not genuine success. This is a straw dog that is completely without real value – it is spurious. So at the end of the year these companies’ stockholders, who follow these things and get excited by these millions of views may rightly say “WHERE are our profits?? Where are our dividends??” And stock analysts may rightly say “This company consistently lies to us about their groups’ successes.” There WILL be a reckoning. The liars will be found out. This is false advertising at best, but the companies themselves will be out of pocket and have nothing to show at the end of the year but “expenses.”
@lilibaiyu
And I wonder that despite SNSD’s IGAB with a whopping 36,188,970 views in a just a month, topping charts and winning music shows, SM’s stocks are still diving http://www.bloomberg.com/quote/041510:KS and per financial analyst (since I know very little about stocks) it’s now half the original price , what’s happening? not that I’m worried 🙂

Well, I can only hazard a guess, but maybe a few people did some research online about that villainous company. All the information anyone would ever need is right there. And if I was a stock analyst, someone who absolutely has to research potential companies they recommend to their clients, I wouldn’t be caught dead recommending SM stock – not after what they have done, that has been documented and is all right there for anyone to read online. Word gets out and word of mouth is either beneficial or lethal in the market. This is NOT a reputable company, let’s face it – they use underhanded practices to inflate the perceived value of their acts hoping that fans will be too naive to believe that they would do such a thing. They’ve been doing it for years with no consequences and they have become arrogant and careless. After the stunt they pulled under-reporting their expected profits last quarter by almost half and the lame excuses they offered, I don’t think a professional in the stock market would still be pushing their stocks on clients unless they too were being paid under the table to do so. But here’s the thing – that’s even more money going out; they are spending ridiculous amounts of money to maintain a completely false facade of success. It’s a House Of Cards and it’s going to fall to pieces sooner or later.
Is the album for sale in China? I have a hard time reconciling 10 million views with 120,000 albums pressed (so far anyway.) I’m assuming at least some of the people watching the video would like to buy the album. Are they just buying it digitally, I wonder? At least that way, copies can’t “run out” but again – I’m concerned that C-jeS is leaving money on the table. In fact BIG BUCKS are potentially being lost.
Gosh I was just about to write this myself! My thoughts exactly!! Maybe it’ll cost more money to have second print?
