JYJ member Kim Jaejoong expressed interest in working with HYDE.
Before his Asia mini-concert and fanmeet tour “Your, My and Mine” Shanghai stop takes place, Kim Jaejoong held a press conference at the Shanghai Marriott Luwan at 6pm on the 16th.
In the question about who is the next musician he wants to work with on the next album, Jaejoong answered, “Although if I have the chance, I want to work with a multiracial band, but from a personal perspective, I really wish to work with HYDE from the famous Japanese band L’Arc-en-Ciel”.
The HYDE that Jaejoong mentioned is the main vocal of the well-recognized Japanese visual rock band L’Arc-en-Ciel. HYDE, who is currently working on his solo activities, is a musician with great strengths and skills much like his image in the Japanese popular rock band, and has gained the praise of “daebak main vocal”.
Kim Jaejoong shows his high attentiveness to rock music regularly. His first mini album “I”, released in January, included 5 rock songs; and from this it can be seen that Jaejoong has taken his first step towards becoming an artist. Although he debuted as an idol, he has won praise for his ability to produce high-quality albums and his willingness to try and experiment. Therefore, not only in Korea, Jaejoong has a very high popularity overseas. The repackaged album was also sold out, which shows his success as a singer.
When asked whether if he will continue to use rock music for his next solo album, Jaejoong replied, “I still would like to make a rock album”, and he continued to explain, “even rock has various styles, I would like to challenge myself to try more varieties of rock and bring them to my fans”.
Kim Jaejoong held the Shanghai fan meet and mini-concert at 7:30pm on the 17th with 5000 fans, he also sang the 9 songs in the mini solo album “I”, which was released in January.
